My brother's arrest really shocked the foundations of my family and has us spiraled in a tail spin. Anyway my case was stupid - never should've been charged because I was barely over the limit and driving fine. Summit Defense is the only place I will ever turn to should I ever need a criminal defense team on my side again. In 2011, I had the unfortunate luck of being caught amidst the first and only criminal case I've ever had to face in my adult life. Afraid of all the unknowns that came with being in a situation like the one I was in, I turned to family for legal referrals. A cousin had referred me to a personal friend that was also a defense attorney. An attorney whose retainer fee was outrageous, but with confidence my cousin assured me "you get what you pay for" and that he was the best. To my disappointment that was not the case. He talked a good game in our consult, but when it came time for him to step up for me he fell extremely short while sadly racking up a very large bill. Feeling frustrated and defeated, I reached out to friends and asked if there were any legit attorneys that they had personal experience with to refer me to. Lifesaver on a holiday no less. I was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol some months back. Had only two beers, but close enough in time to raise my BAL just above the limit, around 0.1 at the time of arrest. Ultimately, the reading was 0.09 at final in-house test, still above the limit. I had a spotlessly clean record, both criminal and traffic, was cooperative with the police, and passed the field sobriety tests, but was still exposed to conviction of a full DUI charge. I contacted Summit after making several calls to local firms to get consultation, and inquire about pricing. Summit was the only firm who's fees were not only reasonable, but were flexible enough to take my payments in installments. I had just started a new position, and they were understanding enough to work with me. I worked with Ryan McHugh from the Burlingame, CA. office. He was on top of the case at all times, very accessible, and reliable about returning phone calls. He managed to deal my charges down to a "wet reckless" offense, the lowest count possible with DUI. Steve Davidson is the worst attorney to represent you. He overpromises things and will not respond or deliver after collecting the money from you. Further, he will get very offensive when you ask him to deliver on the services promised. The office wasn't helpful too and kept promising that Steve will call back and is in a meeting...but it took months for him to even respond back...and when he finally did...he was offensive....Use your money and time wisely and pick a different attorney group. read more

I owe a big thank you to criminal defense attorney Collin Moore. I was accused of domestic violence......which is completely crazy because I am the victim. The truth is it really wasn't much of fight and I really didn't think it would be considered to be domestic violence when I called the police. I thought that I could just explain my situation to the judge, but was told to come back with a criminal attorney. I found Collin who calmed me down and explained what to do when I was freakin out.
