I've never had cleaners ask for a deposit before. Was hoping to leave a glowing review with before and after photos to help grow their Yelp like I do with other vendors but now am stuck finding another cleaner. Can't speak to the quality of their work but if you're worried about paying money up front when many vendors are late or no-show not a company for you. I'm always happy to pay when people show up. Screenshot posted (since they can't) nothing is mentioned about a deposit being needed to book when they responded to my request 10/30. Also when I looked at the deposit request today it was non-refundable. Those exclusions mentioned are not referenced anywhere.

We just needed a deep cleaning for a move-out including appliances and cabinets. Realtors and buyers had come through the apartment for showings. No one had remarked on the cleanliness of the place as a major issue. Even new kitchen counters had been recently installed, so we weren't expecting major issues other than a good scrubbing of appliances. Thinking everything was fine especially for a smaller space. I left the apartment for 2+ hours - hoping to come back to a clean place. Unfortunately, I couldn't discern a noticeable difference in cleanliness of the kitchen. I ask the cleaner what's been cleaned in the last three hours - opening cabinets and pointing to the dust. After three hours, I just asked for the cleaner to leave. Gia's explanation was that the apartment was "pretty dirty and not brand new so it's just difficult to get rid of everything for the first time cleaning". I couldn't see though that much had been cleaned. Even the brand new counters looked dirtier than before. I ended up just wiping down the counters and picking up a broom - sweeping to see that there was still dust on the floor. The cabinets still unopened and items hadn't even shifted. The appliances had visible crumbs and dirt streaks/smudges. Definitely disappointed after shelling out $160 even after asking them to leave. It was more of a hassle to deal with scheduling the cleaner, leaving the apartment / picking up cash, and still to clean the apartment. After they left, neither myself or husband could tell what was cleaned. I'm just going to have to go through the expense of hiring another cleaner.

She has been an absolute lifesaver, and it has made such a difference having her help with keeping my house clean. I travel frequently, spending about half the year outside of Illinois, and it is such a weight off of my shoulders to know that I never come home and worry about what state it will be in. I also struggle with ADHD, which makes creating and sticking with habits very difficult, and I have had the privilege of developing a routine to keep my stuff in order with biweekly services with her team. Girly works with my schedule and I never come back from being out of state to a home I'm miserable to be in. As for the value? While what this service provides for me is truly priceless, I do believe she is very fair in her pricing, and she delivers on what she says she will.
