I was then told in a very rude way that she had been waiting and could no longer take me due to the time that had passed. I then asked why was I told to would get a message once they were ready and she said she didn't know. I was then charged a late fee and canceled. Worst service I have ever received. It was hard trying to maintain conversations with her, and I just felt judged the entire time. I couldn't help but notice her unwelcome facial expressions when I glanced in the mirror, as well as her condescending tone. Here's one of the main moments that stuck out to me: while drying my hair, she rudely said "ummm did you paint or something?" I said no... after the long silence I asked why she would ask. She said "well it's like. White. You don't have lice but it looks like dried paint. It's probably because your scalp is so dry." Okay... thanks? After I asked her to try to take whatever it was out of my hair she ignored me and roughly brushed my hair. I can list so many other rude moments that happened within the hour that I was there. I tried not to let this experience affect my mood for MY ENGAGEMENT. My hair was NOT the same as the reference photos, not even close. It was literally just curled and not blown out or styled the way I wanted. I tried to have her brush and fix my hair after she said it was done. I was so over it and didn't want to cause a scene. I paid and left. Which by the way- my hair was flat by the time my engagement happened. My appointment was around 1:30 and my engagement was at 5. Completely flat. Thanks for nothing. I had really high hopes because of the happy and positive reviews Laura had. Disappointed to say the least. Won't come back again. Don't book unless you want the session to be silent, underwhelming, and definitely treated wrongfully.

I read a review that said she'll let you know her honest opinion and I'm so glad because for me personally, I would hate it if I came in wanting something and the hairstylist thinks it's ugly (but is quiet about it) and I walk out feeling regretful that I wanted to try xyz lol. My first haircut came out nicely after we chatted about what I wanted and what she thinks would look best, and she recommended me a brown I should try in the future. Today is that future time. It's my second time here! I came in knowing vaguely what I wanted (Some sort of lighter brown with bangs since I had black hair with no bangs lol). We chatted and then I simply trusted the process. She ended up giving me curtain bangs that can also be a little wispy also, and cut my hair to a length that looked soooo good. There was so much attention to detail when she was cutting too. It was great. For the color, she said that a lighter color might not actually look the best on me and a subtle brown might be better! I was pretty down for whatever she thought looked good so I trusted the process again. Let me tell you... this subtle brown looked so good with the cut. Also, my hair? Soft as HECK. It was kinda gritty before so I was shook when I touched my hair after the appt. She chatted with me lots and also gave me space too. It was a great balance and also she answered my questions!! I always have so many questions and she answered them all for me!! Including... how to style my hair because I suck at those things. I'll take any advice and tips I can get. Price is reasonable for OC too! TLDR; I walked in with messy hair that made me look dead inside and walked out with softer dyed hair AND styling knowledge. If that isn't a win, I don't know what is.
