The outdoor chair they sold me looks similar to my indoor one and I've had nothing but problems with it. Theres nothing more frightening than having a 250 lb disabled person stuck in the middle of a stairwell because the chair stops working. This Harmar chair has sensors in it which cause the chair to stop working for a variety of reasons which the homeowner couldn't possibly troubleshoot, and a cable that drops down causing the chair to stop. It can't handle any dirt in the track. I had to go to Home Depot and have a piece of wood cut to cover the track so dirt wouldn't go in the track, and dirt still fell into it causing the chair to stop working. Every time the repairman comes to your house, there is an automatic $175 fee, which I wouldn't mind paying once a year, but this chair rarely ever works. Its completely unreliable and unusable at this point. The owner of the company Dave stands by this unit and tried to blame me for the trees, or my landscapers, or the way I operate it. I even tried calling the manufacturer to troubleshoot myself, and they will only speak to a dealer. I even said I would buy a new chair from them to replace this and have gotten no reply. This situation was handled very poorly and I'm out $7,000 without a working chair lift.

They were on time and ahead of schedule! They did a very professional job, very quickly, and taking great care to install neatly and even taking the time to demonstrate all the functions to my parents. She advised the company that she would be selling her home and she was told that she would be given a refund for the unused time. Unfortunately, she was encouraged to pay for the five-year contract, of which she only used 18 months. She has been ignored by this company repeatedly and is now working with the NYS Division of Consumer Affairs. She will not give up.
