Raphael called in the time range, gave an ETA, arrived on-time, and got us running again for a reasonable price (it was the fan) in 35 minutes, before other places returned my weekend call. I contacted Nadir and scheduled an appointment. After describing my problem, Nadir returned my messages quickly and we discussed when would be an opportune time for both of us. Thankfully, we were able to schedule something within a few days. Nadir said he would arrive sometime in a one-hour window, and it's been my experience that people usually come towards the end of that window. Nadir, however, actually came fifteen minutes early. He listened to my description of the problem (popping noise, burning smell, dryer wouldn't turn on), and used that information to predict what the problem was. He then confirmed his suspicions and showed me what the problem was. Nadir quoted me a price, which included the $75 diagnosis fee. He did not have the parts immediately, which was understandable because I have an older dryer, but told me he would come back later that afternoon. I went out to run some errands and he again returned early. Unfortunately, I was not home yet but he did not mind waiting. Once I returned, Nadir fixed the dryer as promised. He also took care of some maintenance issues related to the dryer (i.e. fixing lint dryer vent) at no additional charge. What really makes Nadir stand out, however, is his customer service. After a few days of the repair, my dryer started making a squeaking noise. I didn't want to risk my dryer going out again, so I asked Nadir if the squeaking was related to his repair. He said he didn't think it was, but he came by anyway to check. He was right -- it was a wheel bearing that was making the noise. It was not related to his initial repair, but he went ahead and addressed it as part of his warranty program. Great business. Would definitely call him again for appliance repairs.

Fabulous, easy and affordable…read more I have a thing for top loaders that operate old school style- not a fan of the fancy schmancy front loaders and not a fan of all sorts of bells and whistles that potentially fail down the line. I know too many friends that have spent thousands and have spent more later down the road for repairs and replacements after only a couple years. Or the machines were too heavy and ended up ruining their floors etc. My first washer failed about a month in, Willie himself came over looked at it and replaced it immediately. SEVEN years later it wasn't spinning anymore- pretty sure my kids overloaded it- for the cost of an appliance repair guy to come out, I went instead, back to Willie's and purchased a new Whirlpool for $180 bucks. Does it have a small ding and scratch on it? Yep. do I really care? Nope. While I was there I also replaced my garage fridge (a hand me down) which had been acting up. My first fridge is fine- it's in a shop environment and used in a break room, very simple, nothing fancy and does the job. My second Fridge has been fabulous- brand new. The washer I recently purchased was doing a crazy floor dance thing while in the spin cycle- thought it was uneven but no matter how much i played with the balancing, it kept happening- called and they sent Virgil out to repair a few days later; a perfect gentleman, pleasant conversationalist, clean worker and knew exactly what he was doing. In and out in 15 minutes. Replaced the springs- and now? Washer runs smooth as butter. So- yes, you might have to give them a call to straighten out a kink or two. No biggie when your saving hundreds in my opinion. If you want perfect go to a regular store, pay top dollar and still deal with the same issues. The warranty period is nice and long- 180 days- certainly enough time to address anything that is due to a poor or damaged product upon purchase. Hands down, the best appliance place ever for easy, simple and affordable with a very decent and easy warranty period. Oh- also bought my dryer from them seven years ago- never have had an issue. It's run perfectly since day one.

Washing Machine stopped midstream and wouldn't drain or turn. So I went to Yelp and put in a repair quote for my appliance guy Pete who I've used several times with outstanding service. He immediately replied that he was closed because of Covid 19. But I also received an immediate response from Billy of Island Appliance who said Connie was in the office and to giver her a call to set up an Appt. So I did. Connie indeed was in the office at 9pm and said her technician was out on a call in Huntington. She contacted him and got back to me within 10 mins. He gave me the choice of coming by after he finished the Huntington job or tomorrow. In this crazy times of Covid 19 I was able to get immediate service. He or should I say they SHOWED UP AT 11:30pm?! YES that's exactly what I said!! 11:30pm! Appliance angels! He had the parts (Drain Pump & bearings) & fixed my washer promptly. Previously I've used him to replace a old dishwasher. It was a disaster to remove with its old rusted feet and copper line, which the Home Depot appliance repair people refused to touch.
