She didn't assess the areas that need extra TLC due to hardened skin. The foot massage was about 30 seconds too. And my nails... She didn't use cream even once. I believe the mani service is supposed to come with lotion and "massage." I didn't get either. I got a clear coat on my nails, and some areas are missing application. My fingernails look awful, not only from the splotchy paint but since dried skin still peppers the area. I tipped Julie 20% because she was nice, and I genuinely think she doesn't realize how bad this service is. I am struggling to accept that I just paid $78 for this experience. I am so upset. I will book an appointment somewhere else and hope they can give me the spa treatment I should have received and paid for.

I have tried most brands at Ulta and when I discovered DevaCurl, I knew I was starting to see the light! A quick look on the DevaCurl website and I discovered they had specialist dedicated ONLY to curly girls. I was beyond excited! Fast forward a couple of days and a flurry of texts to my friends, I came across Diane for Curls in Columbia, MD and with two referrals from my friend's cousins, I made an appointment. While she has a great schedule, she is uber popular and typically books in 2 hour increments for the first appointment - we scheduled about 2 months in advance. Diane was completely thorough and super responsive via email. She was incredibly detailed as I gave her my daughters hair type, pics of her hair, what we hope to achieve, and her current list of products. Diane recommended reading the Curly Handbook (A MUST!) as well as some do's and don't's to prepare for the upcoming appointment. I walked in the salon with my daughter thinking I had a decent knowledge of what I was doing to her hair and I was shocked to find out while I was starting to grasp what my daughter's hair needed, my daughter's hair needed so much more. The first thing Diane did when we sat down is she spoke to my 9 year old about what SHE wanted. And I greatly appreciated that, after all it is her hair and not mine. We spent about 1.5 hours talking curly hair, products, washing procedures etc. My daughter left with vibrant bouncy well moisturized curls and a confidence boost. I left my head full of knowledge and another appointment in June to see her again. This is the start of something special - curly girls rock!!! Now can someone help me find a place to do a body wave? ;)

She has also done the keratin and Botox treatment on my super curly frizzy hair and every time comes out silky and healthy. My daughter is a minor (11) and Belinda went rogue and did not get my consent for any changes from what I had approved. https://www.instagram.com/p/BTPZfyClIOs/ Update; Apparently, the reason Belinda curled my daughter's hair was to cover up the fact that besides being the incorrect color she had completely botched the color. It was immediately noticeable when my daughter's hair was no longer curled. My daughter saw the the botched sections and burst out in tears. Further Update: While the Owner Belinda has now posted a professional and polite response to my review, she sent private messages that were verbally abusive and unprofessional to the point that I was forced to block and report her to Yelp. Further Update: After being blocked from harassing and abusing me on Yelp, the Owner has begun a Social Media campaign of lies against me and had her relatives begin harassing me on Instagram.
