It's easy to access. The ladies we deal with at the front desk (Julie and company) are the bomb dot com. So why the 3 stars? Price! It's getting out of control. Of course they jack the price up on Holiday weekends which is even more upsetting. That's about the only time we camp here. When we first started camping it was around 36 dollars a night for full hook ups. You couldn't hardly get a spot. It was always booked. We had to book a year in advance every holiday so our families could camp. Well...it was $78 a night this year and moving to $82 a night next year. This was the first holiday I looked around and really noticed empty campsites. The many of cabins were even vacant. I believe those are over $1,200 for the weekend if you book those. The full time campsites never had openings. They do now! Yes, it's a nice location, but I fear the new owners are pricing themselves out of the market. It's not a Sandals exclusive resort. Make camping great again Port of Kimberling! I know we are considering taking our boats to a location closer to home because of this. We drive over 2 hours to get here. An hour drive sure sounds nice when prices of everything are so unreasonable. Oh, and my dad just pulled his boat out of their marina because of the price increase.

A little pricey for what you get, but I completely understand the upcharge for the holiday weekend! We brought our dog with us and paid a small one-time pet fee, then he was good to go. Our king cabin was perfect for my our 70 lb labradoodle, my partner, and me. However, I think it would've been a bit of a tight squeeze with anyone else there too. When we arrived, our cabin was decently clean. A few bugs, but that's to be expected in the woods! They don't replenish your bathroom towels while you're there, but we had about 6 stored under the sink for the weekend, and that was just enough for us. There were mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion on the bathroom sink, but I recommend bringing your own unless you're only staying one night. The kitchen had an oven, stove, fridge, freezer, and some small appliances like a blender and toaster. The cabinets were fully stocked with plates, silverware, bowls, and cups. There was also a small bottle of dish soap and an extra roll of paper towels. There were two TVs in our cabin, one in the living room and a smaller one in the bedroom. I love the outdoor seating on the spacious front patio. We also used the grill out there and made the best burgers and steak! The dumpsters to drop off your trash bags are conveniently located in the campground area. There's a grocery store only about 5 minutes from the cabins, so we went there to get some small things like seasonings, aluminum foil, and the food of course. But the kitchen was pretty much stocked with most of the things we needed to cook a meal, which was nice! They allowed us to check in 4 hours early, our neighbors weren't too noisy, and we basically had everything we needed. Other than a rain reimbursement that I should've paid for since it poured the whole time we were there (which is totally on me for taking that risk!) we had a such a fun time! I would definitely stay here again.

Our oldest boy on the way home said, "That was the best weekend of my life." We did some of the Branson fun attractions but mostly stayed at the cabin resort. We rented one of the fishing boats and the pontoon boat while we were there and the owners made sure both boats were ready to go with everything we needed. The owners drove around the property throughout our stay to make sure all guests were accommodated and to make sure everyone was having a good time. Our cabin also had a charcoal grill with it and it came with a bag of charcoal and lighter fluid which was super awesome because we forgot the charcoal! One of the best parts of this cabin resort is the pool area which had a whole game area too so we enjoyed this after a long day on the boat. We loved playing shuffle board. My condo was in pristine condition. All the beds were super comfortable and the sheets were really soft. There is ample seating inside and outside. The price can't be beat. We used the grill and kitchen almost every day. We were lucky enough to be able to rent a slip from the Vickery and docked our boat which we rented from State Park Marina. Colleen is fantastic, she is available all day. The Vickery has great kayaks available for use on the lake, and getting to the lake couldn't be easier. My kids enjoyed playing on the Lily pads she has tied off on the dock and just jumping off the dock. It's isn't a huge condo community, so the lake was never too crowded. We've stayed at 3 different places on the lake, and we will never stay anywhere else. The Vickery is a no brainer, if Colleen has availability, you should book it!

The owners, Chris and Sheri could not have been more accommodating and made the reunion a more enjoyable experience all the way around. The views from the cabins were beautiful. Nicely furnished and cleaned. The large grills and picnic tables under the pavilion were great for cooking for everyone and eating as the food came off. A walk down to the docks was not far at all. A swing and ladder made it great for sitting there and watching the swimmers. Ice cream parlor opened every night was a treat after a long day. They had a plan for us to make it work and even provided us with a golf cart to and from parking. I was there on a cold early season weekend, so didn't use all amenities, but they look to be well kept. Facilities are clean, they have great Weber kettel grills, a full kitchen, pots pans, blender, toaster, etc. (Clean what you use) They even gave us ice out of their personal refrigerator for bourbon! They have a boat ramp and slips. Outside power for battery charging. 15 mins from Long Creek Marina. Mill Creek Resort is a great choice of lodging at Table Rock Lake.

Lisa thoughtfully helped us from patiently answering our questions over the phone to helping outfit us with all the right tackle. Derek was the very kind dock boss who explained all the ins and outs of boating this lake/river. He also provided backup equipment, including rod & reel which ended up being used since we snagged a log that took hook and all our line. Bathrooms (two) are to the right of front door and were kept clean. Wonderful time, caught five beautiful rainbow trout.

My family and I, along with families from Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Springfield, MO have been booking…read moreat least a weeks stay at Rainbow Haven Resort and Marina in Rockaway Beach, MO for over 20 years. We call each other our "vacation family" and our kids, and now my grandkids, have grown up together, learned to swim and made so many memories at this resort, that it is almost painful to create this post. We have outlasted 3 previous owners whom we also considered part of that "vacation family". They were welcoming people who did everything in their power to make a stay at Rainbow Haven Resort and Marina as memorable as it could possibly be. However, that all came to an abrupt end yesterday. Sometime in the early afternoon, we were told that they closed the books out every Saturday and we needed to pay our bill before the end of the day, just one of a string of BS lines that I completely don't believe, a day before we were to leave. So before I went to the office to pay I checked the website to verify the price of the room so that I knew approximately what I was going to be charged. BUT when I got in there I was charged around $50 more than I expected. Mind you we had already been told that the reason there were no BBQ grills on the decks any longer is because the insurance wouldn't pay if the place burned down and they had provided the grills, but if the guests brought their own it was ok. WHAT?!?!?!?! The next one was that we should have seen the pool 2 hours before we got there because "it was pea green". Speaking of the pool, you can see in the pictures below, what we had to deal with all week. It was not cleaned 1 single time after we got there on July 1 and still hadn't been cleaned when we left on July 9th. So an argument began regarding payment and I refused to pay anymore than what was stated on the website for the room. She continually told me that the website had been updated to which I replied, "I will bring it up and show you right now on my phone". Her reply about the dirty pool was, "You were in the pool everyday. Why didn't you tell us". "BECAUSE IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO TELL YOU TO CLEAN YOUR OWN POOL!!!!! I DON'T OWN THIS RESORT YOU DO!!" The argument with her ended with her stomping off into her house and telling me we were no longer welcome at Rainbow Haven Resort and Marina. I CANNOT abide liars and underhandedness and those 2 people are the epitomy of both words. The pictures below show just how bad the pool area was and the boat dock was such a joke that it took 2 people to get our boat out because you had to be a gymnast to maneuver around the kayak that was laying on the walkway obstructing it. The last straw was that they sat on their deck the entire time watching us AND called in some kind of "security wanna be's" to hang out while we were leaving. I really take offense to someone with guns on their belt hanging around while we had our grandsons with us and were only packing our stuff and leaving. I would caution EVERYONE to stay as far away from this place as possible and if you have made a deposit for a stay in the future, be prepared to not have it returned because the place is going on the market in October and at the price they are going to ask will not likely ever sell and they will wind up giving it back to the bank. They may be able to convince others that their lies are true, but I have learned quite a few things in my 50+ years and dealt with better liars and cheats than they have ever thought about being. PLUS, I have ran that resort for a couple of weeks at a time for more times that I can count and know how much work it takes to run it. But I did fine and did my full time job to boot!! It was the people that you came into contact everyday that made me go back again and again, whenever asked. I totally enjoyed it. So our Rainbow Haven days have come to an end but next year will bring a grand adventure that will create new memories!!!!

The resort has a great, step back in time feel to it. The accomdations were clean and allowed for a great view of the lake. Fishing from the dock and lake (via rented boat) was excellent, as we caught our limit in Rainbow trout each day. We highly recommend this stop for anyone looking for a laid back and economical fishing trip during a trip to Branson, Mo. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great fishing get-away.
