If rolling out of your comfortable bed to watch beautiful sunrises over Rainbow Lake while Great Blue Heron and Beaver welcome the day, this place is for you! Clean, well maintained cabins right on the lake with a friendly and courteous staff. Rustic and quaint, this place is not a hotel suite, it's more like a summer camp, complete with horseshoe pits, grills and picnic tables. I felt right at home here and even extended my stay! I will definitely be going back to this hidden gem!

Absolutely adorable little cabin .. tucked in back by the lake. Affordable, cabin is adorable with real fireplace. Bring your own wood though! Comfortable king bed in the Juniper cabin. Not a huge cabin but plenty of room. Full kitchen and bath. So enjoying my time! Don't want to go back Sunday !

Lazy Oaks Resort and their staff provided such a wonderful experience. It was a perfect location for a wedding. We were able to rent out the whole resort for family and friends to stay and enjoy the beauty of the woods and Rainbow Lake. We will definitely be going back every year

Our annual family visit to Lazy Oaks. Always welcoming, relaxing & feeling like the outside work world is far away. The owners & staff are very attentive to guest needs. If you want to get away to relax- this is it.

Everything from the staff at check-in, maintenance staff we encountered on the grounds, the facilities etc. all exceeded expectations. There are 3 Jacuzzis on site, which was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. There is one at the back of the complex, which is covered and is the LARGEST hot tub we have ever been in. Everything was well kept, manicured, clean and well thought out. The room we stayed in was the studio with Murphy bed. At first I was skeptical when my Husband booked it however it was SPACIOUS for a studio and the layout allows a ton of natural light, they even leave a "welcome" basket, which was a great touch! Every single room here will have a view of the woods, so you won't ever be disappointed! The only downside I can see is that there is no A/C, and while it is the Mountains, it still gets hot in the summer. I would not stay here during the Summer when temps reach almost 100.

We checked in with our 2 bedroom confirmation paper, trudged Upstairs carrying 4 luggage, looking for 2 bedrooms and to my surprise seeing only 1 bedroom!!! What!! The check-in clerk did not say any word about a 1 bedroom at all! I had to call Wyndham to which they informed me "an agent" canceled our 2 bedroom and we were notified by email. We were not!!! What if we had other people traveling with us? No apologies were made at all! And the toilet paper was cheaper than an outhouse! And they call themselves Worldmark?! Their water was horrible, made me itch from linen and showers.

The dining table had split in 2 places, and you could see lots of junk in the splits. The baseboards were filthy, the kitchen cabinets had salt and coffee and who knows what else spilled on the shelves, and all the cabinets needed cleaning. Pillow shams were draped across the pillows- they were too cheap to buy more pillows to put into them. No hangers in the closet. The sheets looked dirty- not sure they had been washed after the last guest. There's only a small section of shore for the lake- surrounding areas are fenced off. No room for dogs to run and play either. No place for kids to play. They do have boat, kayak and paddle boat rentals for a decent price. We scheduled and paid for 2 nights plus a pet fee, and left after one. They called me the next morning, and did not ask anything about our stay and had no interest in why we left after one night. Opinion- poorly run business, no interest in cleanliness. This is a sketchy party place at night.

The owner, Chuck, and his manager, Stewart, were super nice and made sure we had everything we needed or wanted. They really try. That being said, the place needs updating. It did have a fridge and the bare necessities in the kitchen but the one bedroom "Villa" is very small. The table has 3 chairs but only 2 people can sit down at the table because the fridge is so close. We were able to bring our dog and it was only $19 for him to stay. The lake is full of seaweed but a lot of people were fishing. There is no way I would swim in it. It is nice having gas grills but only a couple of them worked. (Charcoal could not be used because of the extreme fire danger.) The unit was very dark, even with the lights on. Some of the lightbulbs were out and the ceiling lights very dirty. There was a nice green area that had games, a fire pit, places for the kids to run and play. Everyone was very nice and down to earth. We enjoyed our stay.

That is what makes it a very special time in my opinion. Time to think and reflect, do projects, binge shows from your favorite streaming service, take long walks in the neighborhood and along nearby trails, and truly pull back from the normal day to day. With my dog nearby, it was a truly rejuvenating week. The units have everything one needs to be comfortable. Full kitchens, comfortable furnishings, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a deck with furniture and a grill for your outside moments, and TVs, strong wifi, garage, and even a washer and dryer. I highly recommend Quality Hill for a great change of scenery, especially if you live in the Phoenix or Tucson areas. Pinetop is at 7300' in elevation, so the air is clean and the temps are much cooler. Hope you plan a visit soon!

Location wise Pinetop Showlow is great..it's les than 90 miles to Petrified Forest, Meteor Crater, Ft Apache, Sunrise Ski, Springerville ( great museum) Kinishba Ruins, etc. The resort has an excellent clubhouse with gym, board games, etc. If you like that kind of stuff. Now you can't be out doing stuff all the time..so I've got one item that got me...and it gets me at many resorts...it's streaming TV...impossible in most instances to get local news. Often limited channel choices unless you want to sign into your own Netflix etc. But why would a resort in this day and age select a streaming service that doesn't include live as on Dish or Cable versions of Fox or CNN or MSNBC...yes...I'm kind of a news junkie. Oh...almost forgot....this place has a garage for every unit....wow!!!! That's nice.

We found Hidden Rest Resort on Hotels.com, which had a mixture of reviews, but very reasonable prices. We chose this place for the price and the good reviews that were listed. When I initially planned it, I chose the Honeymoon suite (Cabin 9) for the hot tub. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected surgery I recently had, we were unable to use the hot tub. That was a bummer. I attempted multiple times to try and change the cabin online prior to our arrival, but they were completely booked Easter weekend. No biggie. We still stayed. Melissa, at the front office, was very nice and friendly. She informed me of a $50 cleaning fee for the room, which I appreciated her allowing me to pay in cash. She showed me a map of the property and how to locate my cabin. What I appreciated the most was that when I called in the next day to inquire about restaurants, she was very knowledgeable and provided me with a great recommendation! We truly enjoyed the food that night for dinner! Thank you Melissa! The room was very nice and perfect for two people. The moment you walk in, the hot tub is straight ahead. Because of the hot tub, unfortunately, there is a strong smell of chlorine in the room. That I didn't like too much, but it's to be expected with a hot tub in the cabin. We had the windows open from time to time to get the smell out. Also, when you walk in, the living room is to the left. The living room is very spacious, has a lot of seating, a heater, and a TV with movies. The kitchenette was the perfect size and had all the accessories we needed to cook, eat, wash dishes, and more. The appliances were definitely outdated and a bit rusty, but they worked just fine. The appliances included a small microwave, a stove, an oven, a small mini fridge, a mini freezer (that only fits a couple of ice trays), a coffee machine, and sink. The bathroom was nice and very clean. They had complimentary shampoos, conditioners, and soap, but we didn't need to use them given we had our own supplies. The shower was wet when we arrived and I'm assuming it was due to cleaning prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, the shower did not have hot water when we used it. Overall, the bathroom was great. The bedroom was comfy and cozy! The bed had a memory foam mattress with super comfy pillows and comfy sheets. We didn't utilize the blankets and sheets because we brought our own. The room also had a small clothing rack to hang a few clothes. The heater in the cabin worked wonders! We visited when a short snow storm came! It was the best! The snow came falling down Friday night allowing us to enjoy the snow Saturday morning in to the evening! The heater kept the room warm from the cold, which was nice. Although, the heater, along with the hot tub, made it a tad bit noisy in the cabin from time to time, they weren't bad to the point where it kept you up all night. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! The weather was perfect, the cabin was nice, the food was good, and this all made our anniversary trip a delight! We will back again soon!
