Lost Resort Restaurant: Pros: view is phenomenal and food and beverages are good. Cons: restaurant service is horrible; We're there for father's day dinner and from the getgo server/ greeter named SARAH is very rude with a capital B. We felt unwelcome and dislike right stay, we didn't travel thousand miles away just to be treated like that. We tried to be the bigger person and be polite and courteous but it's no use, Sarah continued to be rude. My kids ordered Ceasar salad and fruit bowl but it was forgotten, god forbid we had to ask for it and she got upset. I would like to add though, that the other two servers are much more nicer and accommodating; codus to them. read more

The docent over at the Butterfly Lodge Museum suggested that I needed to come here even if just to have a drink, so I took her suggestion and stopped in here on a Friday evening after a nice hike and watching a bit of a reenactment of a shoot out. This place is gorgeous and the restaurant is set inside a barn, very spacious and airy. The waitress that helped me recognized me from earlier as they had a table at a small community fair happening in town and I told her I would stop by. She was like hey you came back! She put me right by a seat where my views of the Little Colorado River was just effin gorgeous, and there were also three smaller ponds next to the LCR. There was also live music here tonight and Terry Williams was phenomenal. I could not find his work online. Since it was such a beautiful setting, I thought why not enjoy a nice cocktail here! I chose the Jalapeño Bizness and substituted the tequila for mezcal. It was quite delicious, with a slight kick and so refreshing! For dinner, I had the chicken hatche chile mac which came with a salad. Salad was fresh and tasty. The chile mac was just OK but my goodness the portion was enormous and I had to take the rest to go. Overall, a very lovely restaurant and highly recommend you stop in, even if just for a drink. The place was relaxing, classy, and definitely what high mountain living is all about. Make sure you bring a jacket when the sun sets in the evening, because it will get chilly, but such a nice reprieve from the Phoenix inferno! read more

I needed some time for myself to get away for a bit and Greer has always been a great place to do just that. I booked 5 nights-Tue-Sun, and I enjoyed it immensely. There weren't many people around in April of last week so that was a plus. The rate for the Aspen cabin was reasonably priced for off-season. The cabin while small, was a perfect fit for my getaway. Clean, with adequate amenities, I would stay again, especially during the off-season. I fished at nearby lakes/reservoirs (got skunked at the Greer Lakes!) to my heart's content just chillin' and enjoying the fresh pine-scented air. The restaurant wasn't open so I can't offer any opinions about that. The Last Resorts communications via email were good, and I'm glad I ended up at the Aspen cabin. read more

This place gets 2 stars because of its great ambience and scenery but not more because of the food. The food was basically inedible. We started off with truffle fries. They could have been good but they were over salted. I got the Jalapeño Business drink which was actually very good and my husband ordered Chardonnay. My son ordered the hatch chili chicken Mac n cheese. The pasta it self had no flavor and the chicken was very lemony. My daughter's chicken Caesar salad was dry and flavorless.My husband had the steak which he had to down in A1 sauce to eat it and I had the Halibut which was doused in some kind of seasoning, not sure if it was curry or cumin but it was not stated in the menu and it was so overpowering that I just could not eat it. It's a shame because the place is stunning and the live music is so fun! You can tell a lot of work went into creating the space but they need to get better cooks. This is not our first experience there and a couple of years apart but we gave it another chance because we really want this place to work out. Our bill with tip was $208. I just recently stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights It was really amazing the property and the place check in was super easy which I loved cabin was exactly like the pictures and the price for the cabin was really good to dont really have anything negative to say about this place besides the patio door in the master bedroom didn't close sometimes fully but everything else was amazing definitely coming back read more

Would not recommend this place at all. Came for a wedding and paid $1331 for 3 nights just to be told the morning of arrival the stove and oven wasn't working which was a huge reason why we rented a bigger cabin to cook. There was a Home Depot and Lowe's in Show Low the next town over so I don't understand why it couldn't have been replaced same day. The cabin was also pretty dirty. My friend in a cabin down the road from us got bed bugs and they have not responded to either of us at all. read more

This isn't the first time you have used our intellectual property to create items for your menu. When it has happened, we felt sad for you because you could not come up with ideas of your own. This time it is egregious. We have had chicken with our hatch green chili cream sauce and our mixed berry organic salad on our menu since we opened in 2018. Our blackberry pork has been a rotating item on our menu since the beginning as well. These are recipes I personally developed and for you to change a few things and try to make them your own is disgraceful. In a village that has 3 places for dinner dinning and for you to copy entrees and salads from us, is as disparate and hurtful as a business can get. The place is beautiful and my husband and I were really looking forward to our short stay, but honestly, it was not worth the long drive and money. Some things I could forgive: The porch of our casita, including the chairs, were dirty with bird droppings and the food was just okay. The first day the service at the restaurant was very good and for dinner we had pizza, was good. The next day, service was slow and we watched our food sit on the counter for about 10 minutes before being served to us. Besides the pizza, the food was just okay and overpriced. The main reason I'm writing this review is that on the only full day we were there, maintenance was being done on the pond in front of our casita. There were several maintenance guys working and there was a very loud pump running for hours. So loud that we eventually stayed in our cabin. I did complain and got an apology. The head of maintenance told me the owners were getting an electric pump that would be quieter. Too late for us though. Definitely not the relaxing trip we were hoping for. read more

We stayed in cabin 166 This location is absolutely stunning. So beautiful and lots of activities for kids. We loved fishing the little ponds. The cabin was well stocked and so cute! We loved it.. but one MAJOR issue was BED BUGS! My toddler son has bites on his arms, and we found 5 bugs in the bunk bed room EW! . We brought it up with management, and we were given new sheets. (That doesn't solve the issue) and told they will vacuum well. I'm terrified of bringing them home. They can spread like wildfire fast!! So after a well needed vacation, we get to stop at a laundromat and wash everything! And I get to have anxiety till I know nothing came home with us. Long story short, we didn't sleep for 3 nights and had nowhere else to go. We really wanted to make this a yearly trip to our fathers hometown, but we will he going elsewhere. This cabin is booked through lost resort and air bnb. Both were notified of the issue and didn't seem to be taken seriously. read more

Last June, my wife, kids, and I stayed at Lost Resorts in Greer for the first time, joined by our good friends and neighbors who recommended it. The grounds were beautiful, with kayaks, grassy areas for sports, hiking trails, wildlife, fire pits, and a nice restaurant. Our kids loved running around together, and we enjoyed a relaxing vacation without needing to drive much. Both families had such a great time that we decided to make this an annual summer tradition. On June 18, 2024, we booked for June 2025 to take advantage of a 10% off early bird special. We emailed several logistical questions, but none were answered. We overlooked this, still excited to return. However, on April 1, 2025, we received an email stating that, while Lost Resorts chose not to cancel our bookings, a wedding party had reserved the same dates, and we'd be barred from accessing the grounds or amenities. We could stay in our cabins but nowhere else--more like house arrest than a vacation. I called and spoke with the manager, who was kind but apologetic, saying a surge in wedding bookings led to decisions "above her." She confirmed our booking predated the wedding party's, which is why they "chose to honor" them, but reiterated we couldn't use the grounds out of respect for the wedding. She offered an additional 10% discount, 20% total, to rebook or for use on our same dates, but a generic Lost Resorts email soon advertised 15% off to everyone, making the offer feel hollow. She also admitted there was no guarantee we wouldn't be bumped again. Notably, the website's current wedding disclaimer wasn't present when we booked nearly a year ago. I understand the financial incentive of wedding bookings, but this is no way to treat returning guests. They could have honored our reservations by informing the wedding party of a few existing guests and setting aside private times for their events and ceremonies. Instead, we were locked out with just two months' notice. Wedding planning takes months to years to complete so I find it hard to believe this was timely communication to us about the booking and our ultimate barring from the grounds. Our options were to keep the reservations and stay confined to our cabins or cancel and scramble to find another destination in Greer. We chose the latter, ultimately knowing the resort won't feel the loss since wedding guests will likely immediately refill our prime cabins, generating far more revenue than our stay would have. This experience was deeply disappointing. The unanswered emails, late notice of being bumped from the grounds, and generally poor communication and transparency coupled with the prioritization of new bookings over loyal guests soured our excitement. We won't return to Lost Resorts and will find another destination for our annual trip. read more

This used to be my happy place, not anymore. My wife and I stayed here a couple years ago and fell in love with Greer and the Lost Resort. Last year we brought our kids and our neighbors and their kids and they had a blast. Kayaking in the ponds, playing in the open common area, sitting by the fire pits at night made for a memorable experience. We liked it so much in fact, that both our families immediately booked a trip for the next year and decided to make it a yearly tradition. That all changed however when we just received notice, two months away from our much anticipated trip, that we would no longer be able to access the restaurant, the ponds, the open common area to play or anything other than our parking lot and cabin because a wedding had been booked overlapping our 10 month old reservation. I was perplexed as this surely couldn't mean that the ENTIRE time we were forbidden from accessing the resort we paid to be at. Maybe it was just the ceremony times. I called to verify and was told that sorry, not sorry, you have no access on any of the days you booked AT ALL 24 hours a day for all but the last day when we were to check out and go home. I couldn't believe it. You can't do that to two families 2 months away when that's all our kids have been talking about and offer nothing other than a sorry. At this point we can't book anything comparable as it's such a nice area and such short notice, but all that was offered was to reschedule or cancel. I find it absolutely appalling customer service to do that to a repeat customer. Thank God we didn't book the other trip we were planning there next month for just my wife and I as who knows if that would be cancelled too. They claimed they gave as much warning as possible, but who plans a wedding and books the venue just 2 months out? Shockingly poor service. I suggested if there are guests already staying when a wedding is booked, the wedding party doesn't get the resort to themselves, they can have it private for the ceremony, but then after that 4-6 hours, ALL paying guests can access what they paid for. Now we have to find alternate plans for our family vacations with jobs that aren't super flexible. If you're not having a wedding here I'd suggest booking a cheaper cabin somewhere else in Greer so you don't magically lose access to the entire resort, which is the entire selling point of this place. read more

WARNING! Don't rent a cabin when they have a wedding. They blast music that can be heard all over Greer until after midnight.

I was invited to a wedding and the place is beautiful but the food was inedible the music was so loud that you couldn't even hear your own thoughts it was more of a night club. The owner was very rude when we asked to turn down the music. It wasn't what my friend expected as a relaxing peaceful wedding that the website said. She was very disappointed and a waste of money. She wants to redo her wedding. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a fairy tale weeding. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here, including fishing in the ponds on site, relaxing in the serene surroundings, and exploring nearby trails and restaurants within walking distance. This review is also for the terrible restaurant, as many others are mentioning. We went for dinner on the night we arrived at the resort, the food was honestly pretty bad. Watery mac&cheese and they used frozen carne asada pieces and the waitress even told us the food doesn't look as good as it usually does. My father got truffle fries and steak and the fries were so salty you'd have to drink water in between every bite. We mentioned this to our waitress and she didn't comp the meal, and it's is very expensive! This isn't even the worst part. We returned for breakfast the following morning to get the eggs Benedict before we headed up to sunrise resort for the day and the eggs Benedict was literally the worst I've ever seen. The eggs were so undercooked the egg whites were still clear, and the potatoes had zero seasoning. I mean ZERO seasoning- the only flavor was the burnt fry oil they were cooked in. I don't ever leave reviews on anything but this place was so bad it prompted me to write this. read more

Business practices (loud and bright) do not fit with the Greer nature vibe of the area. If people want a loud party atmosphere it should be done elsewhere. The resort needs to adhere to the quiet low light requirements of the Greer area that is known and treasured. read more

I gave one star because everyone I dealt with on the phone was pleasant but no one really cared about our frustration and aggravation. We rented this cabin 100 N. Main Greer AZ, Wildflower Retreat Bungalow, which is a small like mother-in-law set up underneath a larger cabin. We were told that whichever portion of the cabin rented first either the upper or the lower than they did not rent the other side, unless it was for the same party. Which we found out the day that we arrived, that had changed, and there's going to be strangers staying above us! Which we heard all night (walking, moving, talking, bathroom noises ) when we enter the cabin, it look dated there was a small table in the kitchen with one bench and one chair however, there was four of us staying there the two futon beds in the living room one look slept in and we found out later it actually had been slept in. There was one game in the living room and all the windows had been left open and it was quite chilly inside while looking around the cabin we realize that it was a little dirty at first glance, but there was also somebody's clothes left in there (shirt, pants, boots, belt, socks) and they were not ours. When I called and asked about the clothing... they kind of acted like they had no idea what I was talking about because the cabin had just been cleaned supposedly .. and no one had access! then we walked into the bathroom and realize that somebody had gone to the bathroom and Peed all over the toilet seat. They did come and collect the clothing from the unknown person who had stayed there and re-cleaned the cabin. However, they said that the beds had not been slept in so those were fine. We did find out later that night after the management company was closed that the beds in fact had been slept in and there was black hair, dirt and lint in the beds and the towels in the bathroom were dirty. They had left the dishwasher full of dishes with no dishwasher tabs so we had to rewash those and clean those and put those away. They had to bring us more chairs so we could sit at the dining table. There was no salt, there was no pepper we had to call and request for more tissue because when we took the last one out of the tissue box, there was a live roach in there, there was cobwebs all over the windows and the night lights the lights in the house the outdoor light and you would think with the amount of money that they charge they could at least clean cobwebs... talk to the management company several times because we felt unsafe in the cabin, knowing that somebody had access and was in there the night before however that did not seem to be a concern to them if there had been any other place to stay, we would have! The rug in the living room was bunched up, and we continuously tripped over it. ***so frustrated it ruined what we had hoped to be a great weekend ** They did offer to give me back my cleaning fee, and a discount if we would come back... Not sure why we would ever go back !! read more

This is a review for the restaurant! The staff are extremely welcoming and very kind ! The food is very good . The property and restaurant is just wonderful . They were even extra sweet to our little dog :) We came in for dinner ( last minute because our cabins restaurant was closed due to no staff ) we were pretty upset at our cabin because they promised they would be open for dinner - but everything worked out because it was a treat to come here ! We came back for Sunday brunch and it was also great . You really can't beat the view here ! The restaurant is very beautifully done . This place was great...until we got the bill. $40 for 1 glass of wine?! I couldn't believe it. I take the blame for not asking the price, as they were not listed on the alcohol menu. But, I never would've guessed $40 for one glass. Unfortunately, we canceled our dinner reservations for tomorrow.That's just not something we can afford. We stayed in "Rustling Pine" cabin owned by The Lost Resort in Greer. The cabin was a lovely little cabin, perfect for a getaway with my husband. We spent a lot of time on the nice size porch playing cards, talking, relaxing and just enjoying the site, sounds and smells of the beautiful Greer mountains and village. The cabin was fully furnished with everything we needed for our stay. I highly recommend checking out the The Lost Resor in Greer for your next adventure!! read more

This place was so beautiful and peaceful. I would've given it a five, but it needs more food variety in the area. There are only a few restaurants and their hours are not great, and they do not have much on their menu. Also, the Casitas could use a few more amenities, such as utensils, plates, cups ect. Horribly overpriced.....I wanted to bring plenty of folks to this place and bring them business. We wanted to have an open bar tab & appetizers to feed our group. Instead of this place being happy we were about to spend plenty of money. They decided to be greedy as hell. We were quoted for 3.5 hours "use of property" a $900 rental fee. Plus they wouldn't cook for our group. Ummm. Excuse me. A restaurant wants us to call a catering company and charge us to use a space? They said we could use a side window to order drinks for the open bar. So for 3.5 hours and a minimum bar tab of $600 bucks.....over $1500 bucks and we can't order food from you? Yeah...hard pass. This was after pulling teeth to get info when we wanted to get married at lost. Overpriced AF and they really think their poo doesn't stink. Run. Run fast from this place. read more

This is my first yelp review ever but this place was so bad I had to finally write one. Worst steak experience I've ever had in my life. We asked for medium rare and they came out medium so we requested another steak cooked rare. They ended up searing the new steaks for 20 seconds on each side and gave old cold steaks. Fully stocked with everything you'd need for a week long stay. Just bring your own food. Cabins are well kept and provide modern amenities. Bar and restaurant is breathtaking. Beautiful views and modern/rustic atmosphere. Staff is incredible. Even when they're demeaned and belittled by rude boomers, they remain professional. Very accommodating and friendly. I am writing this review for the cabin we stayed in for three nights. We were totally impressed. The cabin was clean and the interior decorations were delightful. The appliances were all in great shape and the kitchen was well appointed with everything one needs. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. The gas grill worked great and when we needed propane maintenance put in a fresh can promptly. Direct TV could be better for entertainment, but I guess you cannot expect too much in the mountains. The wi-fi was great and worked perfectly. The restaurant looked interesting, but we did not get a chance to try it. The grounds were beautiful with the Little Colorado river flowing through it. My dog loved the cabin and the grounds. We are already making plans to return. read more

Went there with some friends last week for lunch. For such a beautiful area the food was very mediocre. The scenery is awesome, but the food leaves something to be desired. Wife had a chicken sandwich. It was dry. French fries were great. I had a Caesar with chicken. The chicken was dry. The Romain didn't seem very fresh. Our friends split the ultimate nachos. They enjoyed it, but the chicken was dry. It's unfortunate for a place in such a beautiful area has poor food quality. read more

We ordered salad and Wings. The salad was wonderful & they did a great job. Unfortunately the wings were not good at all. They were supposed to come with a spicy BBQ sauce. We enjoy spicy sauces and food but these were ridiculous! They set the wings on the table and immediately our eyes began to sting, it was difficult to breathe in without choking and it made our faces turn bright red (for hours) as if we got sunburned. We're not sure what they used but we have never experienced that kind of heat before. We could NOT eat them and left them on the table. Back to the cabin for some Mac'n'Cheese and $30 less in our pocket. So disappointing. Someone needs to teach the chef how to cook. On a heat scale of 1-10, these were a 9.99. Never again! Be careful & be aware! Get sauce on the side. Try it before consuming it. Multiple issues like this will eventually drive a place out of business. Sad. The owner/manager needs to address and do quality checks ie actually eat some of your own food. The cabin rental management trued to warn us that the food was so-so and mediocre at best, especially given the price. A different chef and better recipe's would go along way to saving the business. read more

My family has been part of the Greer community since 1973. This is how the Lost Resorts in Greer Az deals with customer service. We were there for my dad's celebration of life. Do Not rent cabin 175 at Lost Resorts Greer! We were there July 20-24. For my Dads celebration of life. Jimmy Emerson On the 21st we woke to a dead smell in the house. We located it coming from back room. It was so intense that it made my grand babies sick. My parents cabin The Emerson cabin was full but we squeezed 4 more in due to the smell. I went to the office every day trying to get some help. I set up times for them to come into cabin. It wasn't until Sunday I made them do a walk through with me. They agreed on the smell of something dead. We had to keep the door to that room closed and the laundry room closed or the smell would go through whole cabin. I was told I would be compensated. The master bedroom had no curtains so other guest could see in. No privacy at all. I had to hang black trash bags in the doors to get sleep and privacy when I changed clothes. The whole cabin was filthy. A three bedroom two bath cabin that sleeps 10 and they only left you one extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. No dishwasher soap, coffee pot look like it had never been washed and none of the Tvs worked. I was willing to overlook those since we have a cabin right there and we just needed a place to sleep... which we really couldn't sleep in due to the smell and no curtains in the master bedroom. It was very inconvenient to have to run to the family cabin to get toilet paper,to get dish soap to get coffee. The "new owners" were coming the next night the 25 to stay in the cabin. I was happy to hear that cause they would see how miserable their cabin is....not the case ....new owner and The Lost Resort refuses to refund any of my money NONE. Also once I checked out they ignored all emails and request for a call back. I am more than disappointed in this new owner to cabin 175 in Greer and The Lost Resort. I had 3 other family that rented from them that weekend. I will no longer refer ANYONE to the place to stay or eat. Beware of awful customer service. Ordered skirt stake and truffle fries. As well as steak mac and cheese. all food came with a gristly ultra salty pre made carne asada on top instead of the steak that the menu described. the skirt steak and truffle fries were so salty we couldn't eat them. really tried and got about half way before having to tell the server. And our server tells us we're the second group to say something today, and that they get this carne asada pre made from a different vendor pre seasoned, its usually a strip cut skirt steak. we payed full price and were not notified of this, it felt very misleading, and extremely lacking in quality for dishes $17+ each. Not to mention the mac and cheese came to us like watery soup with melted hardened cheese on top. not creamy at all. We were really let down and it zapped our enthusiasm for the whole night. We then went back to our room and had to spend almost two hours killing spiders that kept coming down from the cieling on top of us. This place is really cool, but I think they desperately need some quality control. read more

Went up and stayed for the weekend. Beautiful property. We stayed in cabin 168. At first didn't really notice anything, until we sat down. The couch Really needs to be replaced, cobwebs all over, the mattresses in all rooms sink in the middle, main bathroom had a spider web in the corner w a web, bleach stains on towels, sheets very thin, we had a king bed w a queen comforter, tv in main bedroom did not work, looked like cabin wasn't vacuumed, grass and twigs on the rug, microwave was disgusting, wine glasses were dirty, dishes in dishwasher, most cabinet doors were sticky, sheets were stained, needs to be deep cleaned very badly. Went to play a game, all games had half of the pieces. Opened the shower curtain and whole thing fell down. Went to dinner at the barn, got the double baked chicken wings, which seemed very under cooked. Wasn't too impressed with the food. Too bad this is such a beautiful place. Although everyone was so very nice wish they would pay more attention to the cleaning of the cabins. read more

What a great addition to Greer! The restaurant is housed in an old barn from Main and is absolutely beautiful inside with great views. The food is outstanding and the wines are really great but a little pricey by the glass. The cocktails looked wonderful and we could hear people commenting favorably on them.
