    I could almost touch em'

I needed some time for myself to get away for a bit and Greer has always been a great place to do just that. I booked 5 nights-Tue-Sun, and I enjoyed it immensely. There weren't many people around in April of last week so that was a plus. The rate for the Aspen cabin was reasonably priced for off-season. The cabin while small, was a perfect fit for my getaway. Clean, with adequate amenities, I would stay again, especially during the off-season. I fished at nearby lakes/reservoirs (got skunked at the Greer Lakes!) to my heart's content just chillin' and enjoying the fresh pine-scented air. The restaurant wasn't open so I can't offer any opinions about that. The Last Resorts communications via email were good, and I'm glad I ended up at the Aspen cabin.

My family and I had a great time staying in one of the cabins. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. If you want to get away from the noisy city this is the place to be.

Would not recommend this place at all. Came for a wedding and paid $1331 for 3 nights just to be told the morning of arrival the stove and oven wasn't working which was a huge reason why we rented a bigger cabin to cook. There was a Home Depot and Lowe's in Show Low the next town over so I don't understand why it couldn't have been replaced same day. The cabin was also pretty dirty. My friend in a cabin down the road from us got bed bugs and they have not responded to either of us at all.

We stayed in cabin 166 This location is absolutely stunning. So beautiful and lots of activities for kids. We loved fishing the little ponds. The cabin was well stocked and so cute! We loved it.. but one MAJOR issue was BED BUGS! My toddler son has bites on his arms, and we found 5 bugs in the bunk bed room EW! . We brought it up with management, and we were given new sheets. (That doesn't solve the issue) and told they will vacuum well. I'm terrified of bringing them home. They can spread like wildfire fast!! So after a well needed vacation, we get to stop at a laundromat and wash everything! And I get to have anxiety till I know nothing came home with us. Long story short, we didn't sleep for 3 nights and had nowhere else to go. We really wanted to make this a yearly trip to our fathers hometown, but we will he going elsewhere. This cabin is booked through lost resort and air bnb. Both were notified of the issue and didn't seem to be taken seriously.

This review is for the restaurant, and grounds, we did not stay the night. But wow, just wow. So incredible beautiful and well thought out. Our food and service were top notch. Can't wait to come visit again.

This property is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here, including fishing in the ponds on site, relaxing in the serene surroundings, and exploring nearby trails and restaurants within walking distance. We were also able to enjoy sitting under the stars by a warm fire. The cabins our group stayed in were clean and well equipped to make our stay enjoyable.

WARNING! Don't rent a cabin when they have a wedding. They blast music that can be heard all over Greer until after midnight.

We had such a great time by the creek, we'd just read and nap for most of our stay. The only thing that troubled me was the very obvious fire code issue in one of the rooms. The ceiling light/fan was running its (live) wire down one of the corners (issue #1), wire-nutted into more wire running to an outlet over the bed (issue #2), most of which was painted over (issue #3). I'm no builder, electrician, or firefighter, but even I know this isn't just fire code, but wildly unsafe.

This same location that denies the event on their response to this Yelp review. The email acknowledges that Cameron is a part of their team and it was Mercy running the lawn mower and not Saylor as Cameron said. I will not take down the review as it feels like you are being untruthful given I have an email response from a company of the same name and location indicating this was a true event after speaking with their employee. Juliana H. should coordinate her responses to email responses being sent by the owner and reviews submitted as this is clearly an attempt to remove a truthful account of an incident at this location. I find it hard to believe that a small location in Greer would have two locations of the same name and address and ironically have many of the same types of experiences with customer service. During a recent visit, we were enjoying the property grounds when a staff member identified as Saylor operated a lawnmower within approximately one foot of two women who were standing nearby. The proximity was alarmingly close and posed a clear safety hazard, not only creating a startling disruption but also risking serious injury. What compounded the concern was Saylor's continued operation of the mower in our direct path, following us as we attempted to move away from the area. This behavior felt intrusive, inappropriate, and highly inconsiderate of guest presence and safety. Additionally, the mower passed just inches from a purse placed on the ground--creating both a physical risk and potential for property damage. However, the most distressing aspect of this experience was our follow-up interaction at the front desk with a staff member named Cameron. Upon reporting the incident, we were met not with an apology or acknowledgment of the safety concern, but instead asked for "proof" that the event had occurred. Cameron explained that Saylor was wearing AirPods and therefore could not see us--an explanation that does little to justify such disregard for guest safety. To escalate matters, when I asked Cameron whether he would mow within a foot of seated guests and then follow them with machinery, he replied, "No." While we respect the need for due diligence in guest feedback, Cameron's tone and response came across as dismissive, defensive, and lacking the professionalism expected in a hospitality environment. We are providing this review in hopes that management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to re-evaluate staff training protocols, particularly in guest interaction, safety awareness, and incident response.

The cabin I stayed in was comfortable with two beds, a fireplace which I used. It was so lovely having a fire going when it started to rain, hail and then magically snow. Sidenote: Magical was the themed feeling for this trip lol. The kitchen is a FULLY stocked kitchen with everything you would need to cook or bake with. I even found coffee for the coffeemaker! I relaxed by the fire and read to my hearts content. I love that you can bring your pet for a $35.00 charge. Well worth it to have my best buddy with me on my bday. They are the retired parents of the owner and began managing the lodge a month ago. The lobby itself was very charming and rustic looking just as we had hoped. It was festively decorated with the Christmas theme and the natural log looking banisters and the cozy blazing fireplace set the tone for the weekend with our first step into the lobby. Our bedroom was huge, and everything was sparkling clean. We had a king bed and the bed frame itself was also made of natural looking wood logs. It also had a huge picture window to watch the snow falling outside. We did not get a room with a fireplace but there are several available. The lodge has a couple outside decks for entertaining when the weather is nice, and it gives a great view of the valley below and the mountains in the distance. My wife and I spent a wonderful evening lounging in the lobby and playing cards in front of the fireplace. The next morning, we woke up to a complimentary breakfast prepared by Diana and Mike that included eggs, potatoes, waffles, sausage, coffee, OJ and more. Diana even topped it off with a homemade muffin for my wife's birthday. It was a perfect weekend!!!

We just left the Greer Peaks Lodge. We booked at the last minute for the holiday weekend due to the…read moresometimes crazy schedule of my career. I can honestly say, we won't book here again, NOR will we recommend to anyone who plans on visiting this great little village. We don't mind paying the 'holiday premium' when the place we pay for 'delivers'. Unfortunately, this place did not. It's as if one checks in here and the managers or owners ? , check out after fully billing you upon check in. We checked in and were told the wifi would need to be reset as it was 'slow' when a lot of people try to connect. How many people are truly in Greer? We get it; we are in the mountains and it wasn't truly a big deal. It never worked. NOT even a little. Again, not a big deal. Our room was upstairs: upon entering it leaves a LOT to be desired. The carpet needs a good cleaning , in fact, much of the room does. The water in the sink constantly shot air while using and had low pressure. The toilet does the same with the air thing and you must hold the handle down when flushing. That can be alarming in the middle of the night. The sheets on one bed were stained and I thought about calling down to request new ones , OH! But there is no phone in the room. That makes the , ' In Room Dining Menu' a little confusing too, now doesn't it? There was a nice wad of chewed up gum to welcome my husband on his side of the bed on the headboard. My daughters bed had a terribly stained blanket, but with a hot, stuffy room, there would be no need for that. There are no drapes on the windows and the blinds are in need of revamping, so guess what.. sleep will end about 0600am. That's also the time when a flock of parent-less children will apparently be allowed to run up and down the halls and stairs of the lodge screaming and hitting the walls. There is no air conditioner either. The room was super warm when we got into it , so we opened the two windows; one in the bedroom area and one in the bathroom. I get it, it's the mountains, it was downright miserable without ac. It was uncomfortable and stuffy even in the middle of the night when it cooled off outside, this room just never ventilated well. We were up and out of the room by 0945a the next morning to hike and explore the area in Greer. The 'free breakfast' was no where to be found. No coffee was found either. We only saw the mess of it all in the breakfast room. even a toasted bagel on the floor. The complimentary bottled waters were all gone; the fruit that was mentioned was too, and only the same empty plate in the bottled water refrigerator remained from the night before, AND the water dispenser was also empty. There was NO one to be found and the girl that checked us in the day prior had told us 'IF we needed anything, that they lived on property and just let them know'. You just could never find them! We came back that evening and our room had not been cleaned or made up. No clean towels & no trash emptied. My husband said he had seen maids on his way to find the 'mystery breakfast and coffee' , so he knows they were cleaning other guests rooms. We had no DO NOT DISTURB sign on door either. We would understand if this was a cabin as we have stayed in those before and they don't always have daily service.. well, as I was reading thru the small flyer in the room, you have to place the SERVICE sign on door NLT 1000am for your room to be cleaned. That would have been nice to have been mentioned at check in. I've never seen anything like that, and I travel a lot. The place in general has so much potential. It's actually a lovely looking log cabin looking lodge. The area surrounding the lodge is beautiful, but seriously, no one seems to care. The rooms here look more like a road side motel with a price tag of 'we can gouge you and we will' than the rustic lodge cabin you enter. People would leave messes out on the decks and on the common tables in the living areas downstairs and no one seemed to care about cleaning up after that. We also were amused that we came in about 2145pm on our last night after dinner and the girl who checked us in was finally 'on property' as we were coming up the stairs to our room to literally raise her eyebrows at us rather than say hello or welcome us or anything. NOT a word! We were not sure what that was about. Very 'boarding house, den mother' attitude of her though and I was personally not amused . This is a lodge.. treat it and your guests as such. Let's discuss the hotvtub that had that awful smell of mildew as soon as it was opened.. no thanks. Maybe this is why there were rooms here available and not at the cute, MUCH, cheaper, nicer cabins our friends had. Word to all.. ( we knew this already!), plan ahead for this area and avoid this place unless you don't think sleep is important! I need a shower after a stay here. Two stars for the view & rickety deck
