Got here just after sunset

Fast overnight trip from Phoenix to Pinetop/Lakeside for a one day class. After reading negative Yelp reviews for the chain hotels I'd typically stay at, I opted to stay here b/c of so many positives! YAYS * Simple decor but clean * Quiet even off the main road * Front desk guy Aaron & Billy (the owner?) were attentive/friendly when I needed help with heater/TV * They have space heaters in the office to loan out! * Frig & microwave are convenient * Loved driving right up to my room to unload my car * COFFEE! NAYS * No chest of drawers/armoire to store clothes in, only a hanging rack * No light by the bed, only overhead lighting * Shower curtain was made of material so when it got wet, it was sopping; hanging a plastic liner would solve that * Shower control was wonky: I couldn't get hot water for the first shower; by the second time, I figured it out but shouldn't be that challenging * No curtain on bathroom window for privacy Again, Nine Pines worked out just fine for what I needed. I'd love to come back & stay here in the summer.

Another trip to Pinetop and another great stay at the Nine Pines motel. The motel is located farthes eastsidet of Pinetop. 2 min walk to the Lions Den bar and the Munich Haus. The rooms at Nine Pines are clean. They have a mini fridge, coffee maker free internet and microwaves. Beds are also nice. Rooms have both heat and AC with a fan above beds. The people that own and run this place are super nice and helpful. Mountain biking and hiking in the summer and skiing st Sunrise in the winter....which is only 30 miles away. Give them a shot. You will be happy with your choice.

Adorable little motel in Pinetop. The room was extremely cute with naughty pine floors walls and furniture. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and the bed frame, headboard and footboard was an unexpected surprise. The shower and bathroom was tiled and nicely done with burgundy towels which were a nice touch as well.

Very woods feel and unexpected! Super value for their low prices.

You cannot beat this place for the money. All the real wood floors and walls was awesome. The bed was awesome and we both slept like a log . We will be back for sure !

This review is long overdue. We stayed here in October of 2017…read more The cabin was clean and had everything you would need already stocked minus the food. After we arrived and unpacked we made a quick trip to nearby grocery store were we bought everything we needed for a weekend. We actually even ran into the owners at the grocery store. They are very friendly and always make it clear that if you need anything to ask them and they will provide. The cabins are far enough from the main road that you aren't bothered from the small town traffic noise and spaced out enough that you feel like its just you and your cabin in the middle of the woods. We stayed at one of their pet friendly cabins and I brought along with me my German Shepherd. We already are planning on returning this year in fall/winter time with a couple of friends, can't wait!

We had booked on AirBnB and are familiar with that process. The check in instructions on the app and in the email said to contact the host for check in instructions. We sent a message to them on the app and got no response. We called their phone number shown on their listing. It is not an operational number. We ended up having to call the AirBnB customer service number. They were also unable to get ahold of the host. AirBnB refunded our money and we had to check into a motel nearby. It was a long frustrating night.

Before our arrival, I called on Tuesday and spoke with Erika, who was incredibly kind and understanding. I explained that we were traveling to town for the funeral of a childhood friend. When we checked in, I explained the situation again to the front desk associate, who was also very courteous. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, and everything started off wonderfully. We paid for a late checkout. Although it was a holiday weekend and the hotel could only extend it until 2pm instead of the usual 3pm., that was completely understandable and not an issue. I again explained that I would be attending funeral services about 45 minutes away in Cedar Creek, where I would have little to no cell service. My husband would remain at the hotel with our two young children, a 3-year-old and our 4-month-old baby--until I returned so we could leave together. I arrived back at the hotel at approximately 2:10pm and immediately went to the front desk. I explained that I had just returned from the funeral and only needed five minutes to change out of my dress into comfortable clothes before my family and I got on the road. The front desk associate and, I believe, the manager assured me that was fine that they will let housekeeping know. When I got to the room, I discovered that at 2:05 p.m.--just five minutes after our late checkout time--a staff member had already called the room, and my husband and our two small children had been asked to leave. They were standing outside the hotel with all of our luggage, our toddler, and our infant, waiting for me. That was incredibly upsetting. The hotel staff knew exactly why we were there. They knew we had paid for a late checkout. They knew I was attending a funeral and that I was returning as quickly as I could. Yet there was absolutely no grace, compassion, or consideration shown to my family. Five minutes after checkout, despite knowing the circumstances, my husband and children were already being ushered out of the room. That level of disregard was disappointing and unnecessary. To make matters worse, when I asked if I could quickly use a restroom to change, I was told there wasn't one available in the lobby. I was then sent back to the room we had just vacated, where three housekeepers were already cleaning it. It was a standard room with two queen beds--not a large suite--and I only needed a few minutes to change clothes before leaving. I've worked in hospitality myself and hold a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, so I understand the importance of turning rooms over quickly, especially during a full holiday weekend. What I don't understand is the complete lack of empathy and basic courtesy shown to my family during an already difficult day. It's unfortunate that an otherwise wonderful stay was overshadowed by how we were treated at the very end. A few minutes of patience and compassion would have made all the difference. Instead, my lasting memory is of my struggling husband, with our frazzled toddler, and our sobbing four month old infant - standing disheveled against the wall outside with all of our belongings. IMMEDIATELY, after I spoke with front desk; upon returning from a funeral. The contradiction of hospitality in those moments was unnecessary, and left a very sour ending to an already terrible and emotional morning. I wasted time and energy being sent back to do exactly what was agreed upon, in a far more uncomfortable way. All I needed in that moment as a grieving and post partum mother was: a small crumb of peace and compassion. Yet, we were met with disregard. I'm absolutely furious. I'm patiently waiting on your response, looking forward to hearing back from you promptly.

This place is ran down I'm sorry but I should have looked at the reviews before I stayed here. Don't do it. Find another place. Update!! As we were checking out. I am currently filing a formal complaint with the local Health Department after catching staff on video refusing/failing to change the bed linens between guests. This is a severe health violation. When I confronted management to address this and request basic ownership/corporate details, they refused to provide any information. This property is privately owned and operates with zero transparency or accountability. Be aware that the owners of this establishment also operate the hotel right next door. Avoid both properties completely if you value cleanliness and proper sanitation.

The room was good-sized and very clean including the kitchen and bathroom, plenty of towels soap Etc. We bought a small dog and enjoyed that dog friendly coffee and food was all in walking distance. In front of our room there was a porch with chairs and a small table to enjoy your morning coffee. Homey feeling. I prefer smaller places like this over large chain hotels so keep that in mind when reading my review. The reason for our trip to Show Low was to explore the area as we are considering retiring here. We spent little time in our room. I can't give five stars, only because our room was at the very end, close to the street and on Friday evening all the tourists come back to town and there was quite a bit of road noise all night. We plan on coming back in the winter time to see what the area is like and I plan on booking with the same Hotel.

Surprisingly, I was very disappointed. The first morning I went to shower and found this washcloth (picture attached) in the shower + a piece of used TP at the top of the shower (right when you get in). I went to go put some ice packs in the freezer and there were two old waffles left in the freezer (picture attached). It seems like their housekeepers did a quick turnover and missed some MAJOR things. I honestly don't know if I would ever stay here again since I am pretty grossed out by the experience. When we checked out there was no one at the front so we were unable to speak to anyone about this. Hopefully they can make sure their housekeepers do a better job in the future.

The resort was not very full, as often happens during this time period. That is what makes it a very special time in my opinion. With my dog nearby, it was a truly rejuvenating week. The units have everything one needs to be comfortable. Full kitchens, comfortable furnishings, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a deck with furniture and a grill for your outside moments, and TVs, strong wifi, garage, and even a washer and dryer. I highly recommend Quality Hill for a great change of scenery, especially if you live in the Phoenix or Tucson areas. Oh...almost forgot....this place has a garage for every unit....wow!!!! That's nice.
