This is the vile sewage .

Worst ever! Don't be fooled by the beauty of the lake and nature. The xabins are horrible! Mold, sewer leakage, dirty, very disgusted this last time. I will not be back. See the environmental impact of this place.

My husband brought me to Pinetop and this is where we stayed for our anniversary weekend. We enjoyed our stay and would come back! We checked in pretty late and was surprised by the hospitality. Our room had the heater on, which was amazing when coming in from a long drive in the cold! It made a big difference. All of the staff were friendly and made the experience amazing! We rented one of the paddle boats in the morning and it was nice. The weather was amazing and the views are awesome! We played a little volleyball and horseshoes, both were already set up for guests. It's a five minute drive into town which made our stay easy. The room was clean and had the coziest feeling! The walls are paper thin, that would be the only complaint. As the weekend ended I didn't wanna leave our cute little cabin for the few days!

Tucked away in the White Mountains of Northern Arizona roughly a three hour drive from downtown Phoenix is Rainbow Lake Resort. A humble and quaint set up of tiny houses along the bank of Rainbow Lake. These tiny houses are charmingly rustic. Do not rent here is you expect a turndown service, complimentary continental breakfast or daily maid to makeup your room. Each room comes with a bathroom with a shower/sink and working toilet. The kitchenette comes fully stocked with pots/pans/two burner stove(NO OVEN)dishes/utensils/coffee pot/toaster and a mini fridge w/freezer. Rooms have small 19" TV's on swivel wall mounts with Satellite TV. Each tiny house has window mounted A/C , in room heaters and ceiling fans. You can rent paddle boats, canoes, kayaks or small motor boats to tour the lake and/or fish. I think you can bring your own paddle board or watercraft if you choose....I think, don't quote me. Charcoal and propane grills are provided, bring your own charcoal, for cooking. There are fire pits for burning wood, bring your own wood or buy 7 logs for $10. There is a small park area with sand volleyball, cornhole, horse shoes, tetherball and frisbee golf to enjoy. All in all a very fun place to visit as a family staycation or couples retreat. Maybe you're not a tent type camper but enjoy the outdoors, this is your kind of place.

    Perfect volleyball weather.

Great place to stay, me, wife and kids had lots to do with fishing, horse shoes, volleyball. Room was perfect had all the amenities, everything worked great, full kitchen, large restroom. Will be back, thanks again Chuck.

Kinda small and very rustic. Ok if you aren't spending much time indoors.

We went to Show Low for a mini vacation. Found Rainbows End Resort on Hotels.com. The place is very rustic and quaint. Juniper cabin was not the romantic getaway room we had hoped for, The walls were very thin as we could hear the father staying next door raising his voice and cussing at his family. If we stay there again we would definitely upgrade. Totally enjoyed the play area! Chuck is a friendly laid back kinda manager. The owners may want to look into a onsite management team. Overall what we expected for the price and for our mini vaca needs. Would stay again.

    Bathroom fairly clean.

I had no idea if I should have made it a 4 or a 2 so I decided a 3. Well upon booking my room thru booking.com. I called the resort to ask about ATV trails and other things that the site offers, when I called and spoke with Chuck he told me that trails were right off the camp site and they had all these amazing things. I told him that I would be bringing a TRUCK and TRAILER with ATV's he said we will gladly work with you about making everything work out for us. I was like great! This was for my husbands birthday by the way. Upon arriving to the "Resort" at 4 in the afternoon we were greeted by Chuck as I asked where do I get our room key, and where we can park, he saw my husbands large truck and trailer and said " Thats going to be a problem" then looked at me and said when we talked on the phone he "Might" be able to help out. So his story immediately changed I already felt like we should not be there. He then looked around and found us a spot for the trailer that we had to detach, then showed us "our parking spot". We get to our room and I was told there were no propane grills charcoal only, but as we walked up there were PROPANE grills fully functional. So I bought a big bag of charcoal and didn't get to use it. Well the rest of he trip was fantastic except our room had a hole in the ceiling where we had ants in our room. The stove was sketchy as hell I felt like it was going to blow up. The large room we were in had one small window AC unit it was okay since it was much cooler up n Pine Top. The 3rd day we were there we found the transit from the kitchen to the living space had a nail popping up badly and i cut my foot on it multiple times until I smashed it in hard with my shoe. Carlos everyday asked us how w were doing and what our plans were for the day, he was so nice Chuck (the owner) always seemed to have an attitude of some sort. We followed the rules but by that 3rd day we always seemed to loose "our" parking spot because someone else didn't follow the rules. We were told we couldn't put our trailer in a regular parking spot but the last night we were there a trailer with a boat was parked in the regular spots, he forced us into a small corner under a tree to help other guests but why could the other person do it and not get yelled at? So my main thing to you if you stay is be prepared to NOT have room for a trailer. The website says charcoal only there is propane grills, we stayed in the ELM cabin so watch for those things I told you. There were holes in the cabinets, and they didn't clean behind the bed the bed was on a wood box frame on the ground. Then 2 box springs that didn't fit the king size mattress. But i dropped my charger behind the bed and went to get it and saw the dust, dirt and grime built up behind he bed "frame". AND they do NOT have full size Pontoon bats like the website said, it's a small 4 person boat where it felt like my husband and I were going to fall off if we moved around. Great fishing though. Please read these reviews before you stay and make your judgment call!

    Water bikes!
    Woe A.

I took my mom, son, and sister out to Rainbow Lake this weekend and met Carlos who was very knowledgeable about the lake and showed us all the boats. I rented a row boat, went fishing, and had a blast. The lake is just the right size, not too big or too small and you can see some fish jumping sometimes. The surrounding land is gorgeous and they offer a variety of boats, electric, row boats, water bikes, peddle boats, and canoes!! I definitely want to come back and try a water bike!!

Filthy dirty stained sheets. Not including the spider that ran out when I pulled back the blanket!
    Lisa O.

One star for the picnic table and bbq grill. What a dump. The sheets were filthy, wrinkled, slept in with a spider in the bed. Divets in both beds. Pillows looked like a homeless shelter. Filthy dirty fridge and freezer with stuff spilled in it. Not so much as a bar of soap. Sign says wipe your paws, should have been for when you are leaving the cabin. No electrical outlets in kitchen, whole new meaning to coffee in bed. No dishwashing soap. We went to Walmart and bought sheets for the bed and soap, and dishsoap. No filters for the coffee maker. No curtain or cover on window so 5th wheel dwellers in back can watch you change clothes. Hot cold water in kitchen plumbed backwards. Bathroom water drips out with no pressure. Toilet runs continuously. And, if you are overweight, forget about using the toilet at all. Approximately 2 feet between toilet and lavatory bowl. Tile in kitchen broken, tripping Hazzard. Huge gaps in screen door frame for all the insects. Exposed wiring throughout. Open light bulb socket in bathroom. You don't want to stay here!

Everything from the staff at check-in, maintenance staff we encountered on the grounds, the facilities etc. all exceeded expectations. There are 3 Jacuzzis on site, which was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. There is one at the back of the complex, which is covered and is the LARGEST hot tub we have ever been in. Everything was well kept, manicured, clean and well thought out. The room we stayed in was the studio with Murphy bed. At first I was skeptical when my Husband booked it however it was SPACIOUS for a studio and the layout allows a ton of natural light, they even leave a "welcome" basket, which was a great touch! Every single room here will have a view of the woods, so you won't ever be disappointed! The only downside I can see is that there is no A/C, and while it is the Mountains, it still gets hot in the summer. I would not stay here during the Summer when temps reach almost 100.

The check-in clerk did not say any word about a 1 bedroom at all! I had to call Wyndham to which they informed me "an agent" canceled our 2 bedroom and we were notified by email. We were not!!! What if we had other people traveling with us? No apologies were made at all! And the toilet paper was cheaper than an outhouse! And they call themselves Worldmark?! Their water was horrible, made me itch from linen and showers.

The "comfort zones" which we later found out were heaters were on and set to 80° when we arrived. It was very warm inside when we arrived and we didn't figure out until too late that we were turning the heaters down to cool things off not off. They encouraged us to open windows at night but not many of the windows (none upstairs) had screens. There is no cooling unit upstairs but they brought us some box fans which didn't help much. The plumbing upstairs was slow and had to be snaked because the sink wouldn't drain. Fridge took some time to cool down but then worked fine. Couches are worn and you sink down into them. We read that every cabin has a fireplace but ours didn't which was disappointing. There was 1 smart tv. We tried to log into Disney but someone else was already logged in. Full kitchens, comfortable furnishings, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a deck with furniture and a grill for your outside moments, and TVs, strong wifi, garage, and even a washer and dryer. I highly recommend Quality Hill for a great change of scenery, especially if you live in the Phoenix or Tucson areas. Pinetop is at 7300' in elevation, so the air is clean and the temps are much cooler. Hope you plan a visit soon!

We found Hidden Rest Resort on Hotels.com, which had a mixture of reviews, but very reasonable prices. We chose this place for the price and the good reviews that were listed. When I initially planned it, I chose the Honeymoon suite (Cabin 9) for the hot tub. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected surgery I recently had, we were unable to use the hot tub. That was a bummer. I attempted multiple times to try and change the cabin online prior to our arrival, but they were completely booked Easter weekend. No biggie. We still stayed. Melissa, at the front office, was very nice and friendly. She informed me of a $50 cleaning fee for the room, which I appreciated her allowing me to pay in cash. She showed me a map of the property and how to locate my cabin. What I appreciated the most was that when I called in the next day to inquire about restaurants, she was very knowledgeable and provided me with a great recommendation! We truly enjoyed the food that night for dinner! Thank you Melissa! The room was very nice and perfect for two people. The moment you walk in, the hot tub is straight ahead. Because of the hot tub, unfortunately, there is a strong smell of chlorine in the room. That I didn't like too much, but it's to be expected with a hot tub in the cabin. We had the windows open from time to time to get the smell out. Also, when you walk in, the living room is to the left. The living room is very spacious, has a lot of seating, a heater, and a TV with movies. The kitchenette was the perfect size and had all the accessories we needed to cook, eat, wash dishes, and more. The appliances were definitely outdated and a bit rusty, but they worked just fine. The appliances included a small microwave, a stove, an oven, a small mini fridge, a mini freezer (that only fits a couple of ice trays), a coffee machine, and sink. The bathroom was nice and very clean. They had complimentary shampoos, conditioners, and soap, but we didn't need to use them given we had our own supplies. The shower was wet when we arrived and I'm assuming it was due to cleaning prior to our arrival. Unfortunately, the shower did not have hot water when we used it. Overall, the bathroom was great. The bedroom was comfy and cozy! The bed had a memory foam mattress with super comfy pillows and comfy sheets. We didn't utilize the blankets and sheets because we brought our own. The room also had a small clothing rack to hang a few clothes. The heater in the cabin worked wonders! We visited when a short snow storm came! It was the best! The snow came falling down Friday night allowing us to enjoy the snow Saturday morning in to the evening! The heater kept the room warm from the cold, which was nice. Although, the heater, along with the hot tub, made it a tad bit noisy in the cabin from time to time, they weren't bad to the point where it kept you up all night. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! The weather was perfect, the cabin was nice, the food was good, and this all made our anniversary trip a delight! We will back again soon!
