This little "house-shop" sits just shy of the waterfront in downtown Jensen Beach, surrounded by swaying palm trees and a lovely marina backdrop--very much in line with that nostalgic "Old Florida" feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cappuccinos were surprisingly good, though I was hoping they'd be served in real porcelain cups instead of the standard paper ones--it would have matched the ambiance better. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. The breakfast sandwiches and donuts tasted dry and stale, with little flavor or authenticity. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissant in particular was disappointingly bland--more like flour-dusted cardboard than a fresh, flaky breakfast sandwich. Tucked away next to Lures in downtown Jensen Beach, this charming little spot is nestled in a quaint cottage right beside the Breezy Inn.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a cute courtyard with outdoor seating, and inside you'll find a cozy space filled with all kinds of deliciousness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We stopped in on National Donut Day (perfect timing!) and picked up a dozen to-go -- and were pleasantly surprised with a generous discount. The assortment of flavors was fun and unique, and not one donut disappointed! We tried key lime, chocolate coffee, lemon blueberry, traditional glazed, chocolate cake with sprinkles, raspberry jelly, lemon glazed, cookies and cream, and Boston cream -- all soft, fresh, and absolutely delicious. SCW and I have walked by Lazy Dog Donuts in downtown Jensen Beach countless numbers of times before but never gone in. That turns out to be our mistake for sure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe is very welcoming. You can sit outside in the shaded veranda area where you can play some cornhole, or you can sit inside and look at all the photos of dogs that have come into the shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not to mention they have a little free library inside. So if you need a book, grab one, have one to contribute then drop it on into the shelf.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service here is very kind and friendly. We were warmly welcomed and while we hemmed and hammed at what to order (everything looks delicious so it's hard to choose) we concluded on a spinach and cheese croissant and a old fashioned donut. We enjoyed both of our treats. The old fashioned donut was really good. Not too sweet, but flavorful and dense like I like my old fashioneds. Lazy Dog Donuts has some special events as well, check the calendar for things like yoga out front. Decided to try this place after driving by it for a while. Long story short, don't sleep on this place. The owner was very friendly and dear god the donuts. I got a regular glazed donut because this should be the standard that donut shops are graded on. No lie, this was the best glazed donut I have had in my life. Get out of here dunkin, you've been dethroned. My wife had the chocolate glazed and loved it. The atmosphere is great. The shop is in a house built in the 1930's. There is nice seating inside and a very nice courtyard outside with some games for kids. I will definitely be back for some coffee and enjoy it there. read more

A handful of local vendors so you can shop while you eat donuts and drink coffee![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a yummy selection of donuts and the coffee was hot and fresh. I had a great time. Talking to the owner I found out she does all kinds of fun pop ups- like Brunch Bingo and Sip and Paints. Can't wait to see what fun new community building activities are planned for the future! I live about 1.5 miles down the street from this place and didn't even know it existed. Still not exactly sure where it is. My son in law went out one morning when he (and family) were visiting and brought back donuts from here. Let me tell you...we were all RAVING about the freshness - so soft and delicious.
