    Gilbert's River Veiw
    James S.

Visited this riverside cafe last week. The food was fair, tea latte great, riverside view nice but, something was missing that I can't put my finger on. The place was crowded and noisy, kind of like a busy train terminal (you'll never find a table if you're alone ordering your food at the counter). The food offerings were limited with several pastries and a couple of breakfast dishes. The first two dishes I ordered were sold out so, I settled on their frittata which came in a lump like it was purchased in a bulk container from a wholesaler. The frittata tasted ok but the presentation was about as poor as you could get. As I mentioned previously, my tea Latte was made perfectly (so few places do this so kudos to Gilbert's on this point). Gilbert's is technically on the St Lucia River but it's actually by the docks. Not a bad view but definitely not a river view. Service was perfunctory at best and the chairs which are tilted way back, are made for lounging, not eating. If you're interested in a good cup of coffee or tea and your meeting friends, Gilbert's is an ok spot to join up. However, if you're looking for a great breakfast with a great riverfront feel, you may want to continue looking elsewhere. Some places have a feel that's just right, Gilbert's, at least for me, is not one of those places.

I always enjoy my time here. Especially in the morning just watching the sunrise. It's at a beautiful marina and overlooks the water. They have seasonal coffees and a variety of food items and other drinks. The outdoor area has couches, tables and chairs, relaxing Adirondack, and a fire pit. You really can't go wrong sitting by the water, watching the boats go by, as you sip on an amazing coffee or drink of your choice.

Stopped by here on our trip to Port St. lucie. Beautiful water views with some coffee and light bites. Ample seating outside and inside!

Great spot right on the docks! Plenty of parking, seating, and the coffee is great! I'll definitely need to come back if I'm in town. The customer service is really good too!

Great atmosphere down by the water and the yachts. Friday and Saturday night they stay open late with a fire pit and the live music. I got a cappuccino, which was excellent, and got some Saturday evening work done while listening to great acoustic music in the background. Although I worked, this would also be a great date night finisher with the wife! The staff was great too.

    Cappies with a beautiful view

Such a lovely spot for a coffee and pastry. We got cappuccinos and two pastries. My almond croissant was delicious, my husband said his sweet bread was just ok. The wait for the coffees was a bit long but they were busy. We loved watching people come in and out of the marina on their boats. Even saw a jellyfish in the water which was cool!

Americano with vanilla syrup. Outdoor patio area.

Super love this place the coffee is delicious. The seed is gorgeous and the wallpaper and tiles in the bathroom are just so aesthetically pleasing.. i'm usually just looking for good coffee but if you give me good ambience and I can sit and look at the water as well you know I appreciate this place. But I don't like is that it is on a busy road and you can hear the cars driving by, but what I do like is the coffee in fact, I love it super fresh beans, and friendly staff

This is a great little cafe by the marina in Stuart. It has a beautiful view of the St Lucie River. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the boats! I love the decor of the inside - very nautical and very comfortable. There are a bunch of table insides and outside. They have a wide variety of coffees and teas. They also have a variety of food. Very friendly employees as well. We ordered 3 coffees and enjoyed them in the brisk air. There also was a nice fire pit near of us which kept us warm!

Great coffee spot. Covered seating on upper deck and plenty of seating near the water over looking the marina. Love the avocado toast !

    Amanda A.

The avocado toast, nutty banana and latte was was fantastic. Unfortunately the pumpkin cake was too dense and dry for me. It's right on the water. They have covered outdoor patio. I've been back quite a few times. I do love this place. Everyone is always so friendly. If you do start to come here I suggest sign up for the rewards program. They do have quite a bit of seating on the inside and there's a lot outside as well. the outside you have a view of the marina. Depending on the time of day and season it may be hard to find a parking spot here since it is at the marina and there is a restaurant right now next to the coffee shop.

I wanted to try a Chai Latte for the first time (I know, right?) but need to avoid sugar. This should have been the part where she told me it wasn't actual Chai tea but a processed concentrate loaded with sugar. I obvi couldn't finish it once I discovered the sugar content, but on the upside now I know that most coffee shops serving "Chai" anything are actually using a syrup, not the actual tea. Even with the sugar mishap the place is darling and we will definitely return whenever we visit the Stuart/Jensen Beach area. The divorce lawyer next door had a hilarious sign we couldn't resist - I wonder if they're always this funny? We'll check it out next time - although I think I'll stick to a plain Latte with almond milk.

The BLT on a croissant? Buttery, flaky croissant, thick smoky bacon, fat juicy tomato slices - typically I wouid never order a BLT on a croissant, but I went with Carol's (the manager) recommendation and it slapped! Hard. 11/10 My wife ordered the Dubai chocolate croissant and let's just say: it flexed harder than Schwarzenegger in his prime. Layers so airy they almost levitate. Smooth dark chocolate and pistachio. It's sweeeeet. If you like dubai chocolate style creations - this is otherworldly. I asked my wife what score she gives it. She didn't skip a beat. "Numbers are insufficient for that masterpiece." There ya have it! We swing by when we can for their sourdough loaf which are always 10/10. A huge shoutout to Carol, the manager. She's not just helpful - she's encyclopedic. Ask her what's in a pastry, what's not, what pairs best with coffee - she'll walk you through like your own pastry tour guide, always kind, always thorough. It's tiny, yes - you'll eat outside, in your car, or at home. But trust me, when the food hits this level, location doesn't matter. Sucre is a heavyweight champ hiding in a shoebox. Clutch move: they regularly discount the pastries around 2 or 3 until close to BOGO. Enjoy!
