    Our dinner

We got takeout tonight. Samosas to start. Sorry no pic we were sooo hungry we devoured them. The 2 sauces that came with them were mint and a fruity sauce. Our entrees were chicken tikka masala and palak paneer. Both were well seasoned and delicious and came with rice. The portions were ample, enough for a second meal tomorrow! Garlic naan was our last item and was delicious. I was impressed with how well the food was packaged to keep it from leaking.

UPDATE: This place is awesome. We came back with friends, one of whom is Indian and had a great time. Ordered a bunch of different food and enjoyed a great experience. Go there. New photos below are Chicken Curry and the unbelievable Chicken Makhani.

The food is so rich and flavorful! The hospitality is absolutely delightful! My go to place for curry! And they have a lunch buffet!

Layla's used to be our favorite Indian spot when we lived in cbus. However a few years back their food completely changed and our go-to items came out very bland. Recently we decided to give it another chance because of how much we used to like it. I must say they have redeemed themselves. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked well and the spice level was appropriate for what we had asked for. The service was great, as always. The one thing I would like to see improved is the cleanliness. The bathrooms were not clean, and the restaurant floors felt sticky. I little extra care on this point would make a huge difference on the dining experience. All that said I'm happy with the decision of giving this restaurant a second chance. I'll be visiting it more often when I'm around the Columbus area for now on.

Layla's has a new location. It's behind Sirens. This location is much bigger which means the menu is now bigger too. It also has a great buffet. There's many choices even if you are picky. Getting the buffet is probably the best value you can get. It's about $12 for the weekend buffet. There's a large amount of food. It has the typical appetizers like the pakoras, which go good with the coconut or mint chutney. They also have a samosa chaat table. It's where you can get flattened samosas and top it with lots of stuff. There's also a regular menu if you go at dinner time. This is a nice location. It's better than the old one. Much better buffet than at Sirens.

I went to Layla's kitchen for a private party. The have a room in the back where you can set up the cake and decorate. However, it is quite small, so you cannot sit your guests there. The food was delicious. I loved the naan, has to be my favorite, very soft and not burnt like some other places. The tandoori chicken was tender and moist. The goat curry was tasty, seasoned nicely and did not find a smell to the goat meat, which some places have if not prepared properly. A nice place to hold smaller parties due to the food. All the items are halal/zabeeha, so a great place for those who have restrictions. Definitely will go back to try other items as I attended a party and options were pre-chosen. Will take my parents as well, as I think they will enjoy the spice level and seasoning of the food.

This is our go-to restaurant while visiting Columbus. The service was great & the food was delicious! Also a great place to order takeout from.

Ok we were starving and didn't want to cook anything so I decided takeout. I love Indian food and haven't had any since the ban. I ordered a ton of food just to get the vibe of this place. Curry chicken, shrimp tikka masala, palic paneer and chicken sambusa all with rice and naan and roti. All was very good. I like mine a little more spicy but I was happy with the takeout. Again I never had Indian take out because I like to sit and enjoy the meal with friends. Happy people make good food. I was happy with every choice. Great curry spice nice soft rice. The curry flavor was deep in the chicken. The spinach was perfect. The only knock would be the naan was dry and they forgot my desserts but I'm willing to give them a second chance. At the end I was stuffed lol couldn't finish all of it but I was glad to support them during this ban. I will go back to sit in and eat with friends.

The quality of food you get for the price here is insane. 10/10. The same dishes cost easily double, if not triple, at other Indian restaurants in Columbus and Layla's is just as good if not better. Good service, a huge menu, and amazing food. Would highly recommend. My partner was born in India and he agrees with me!

Vegetable chow mein, paneer Manchurian, chili gobhi

Came across this spot on DoorDash because it was one of the few restaurants delivering on Christmas! Extensive menu with several options. They have a dedicated vegetarian and nonvegetarian Indo Chinese menu which I appreciated (and was craving!). Delivery took about 45 minutes or so with door Dash which is totally acceptable on Christmas night! Food was tasty but could've done with a little more spice. Normally the Manchurian dishes that I've ordered in the past from elsewhere typically have a gravy. The paneer Manchurian was pretty dry (but still tasty). Star of the meal was the vegetable chow mein super delicious!! They were out of the baby corn which I really wanted to order so had a chili cauliflower dish instead.

Haven't had Indian food in soooo long and Layla's Kitchen has been on my radar since I moved to the north side. I called my order in over the phone. They offer online ordering but the online ordering menu didn't seem to match the menu on their site. My order was pretty much ready to go once I arrived. I wanted to go with something a little different order wise (I typically get saag paneer). I ordered my fave Chicken 65 and went with two things I've never had: Kadai Paneer & Samosa Chaat. All three were delicious! The chicken 65 definitely hit the spot and the samosa chaat was different from probably anything I've ever tasted but I loved it. The Kadai Paneer was a great departure from my typical saag order. Overall I would definitely want to order from here again.

Easily the worst Indian food I have ever had. Just awful. Lamb was so dried out it had to have been sitting around for weeks.

I needed some cupcakes for a gathering, and I saw the reviews so I thought I'd give them a try. I got up early to be there when they opened so I could have a good selection. I was pretty disappointed when I got there and there weren't that many options. I was also surprised at how small they were. The decorative topping is very simple. Then, when they said they were $4 a cupcake, I was even more surprised. If I hadn't made all the trouble to get here and if I didn't really need the cupcakes, I would have gone someplace else. I thought to myself, these better taste amazing. I bought a dozen cupcakes and made sure I got at least one of each flavor. Once I got home, I dug into one, just to see how they were. Once again, I'm disappointed. They don't even taste fresh. WTH?! Now I'm regretting serving the rest of them, because what if they aren't good as well? So disappointed. I got feedback from those at my event and the consensus is these aren't good. All of the cupcakes were dry, crumbled and fell apart when you tried to eat them. What makes matters worse, the owners don't care.

The display of chocolates was completely mesmerizing and contained a wide variety of truffles and handmade candy bars. The shop owner was very friendly and also gave recommendations on what to try. I tried only two truffles because I was so full from all the foods I tried before: Lavender Hand Rolled Truffle: The truffle itself was very dense and rich with a strong presence of cocoa. Every bite melted in my mouth just like any good quality chocolate. What ruined this one was the lavender flavoring which was so overpowering that all I could taste was cocoa and lavender. Vietnamese Cinnamon Hand Rolled Truffle: I really enjoyed this one. The cinnamon and honey in the truffle paired perfectly with the strong cocoa flavor and the chocolate itself was very rich.
