During our recent trip to Australia, our round trip RNO-LAX flights landed and flew out of here, and we left Terminal 7 towards Sydney. The flight back landed at the International Terminal, which required a moderate walk (with Luggage) over to T7 and a fresh trip through Security. At the time we were here, TSA agents weren't being paid, but there were no line consequences as far as we could tell. Gayle and I found T7 to be functional, albeit a bit dated and disjointed. But it did get us from A to B and back. Personally, I'd rather do international connections through SFO. read more

I'm not a regular United flyer, so I was unprepared for how bad this terminal experience is. Nothing opens until 3:45 or 4 AM. That's sort of worrisome if you have a 5 AM flight and boarding starts at 4:15. Security lines are a mess, not well-staffed and the equipment is ancient. Even flying first class United, you will be rushed and sweaty trying to board your 5 am flight. No time to grab water. Worst setup ever. I didn't realize that some terminals just shut down. This means also that the lounge will be closed of course. Unpleasant and stressful situation that is pretty much reason enough for not flying United again. read more

My husband and I had applied to TSA pre-check online earlier this week, hoping to finalize it for this trip. The confirmation text message told us to go to Terminal 7 to finalize things. Shayna was super kind, professional, and patient, taking us through all the steps including getting our photos taken, taking our fingerprints, and filling in all the details. This was the terminal I landed in when I came back from Denver. Terminal 7 and 8 is mostly for United Airline. It was pretty simple for me after I exited the plane. I just walked straight to baggage claim to get my luggage and took the LAX IT bus to the ride share pickup area. If you landed later in the day then the bus to take you to the LAX IT might be full since you're at the last terminal. You can also walk to the LAX IT area too if you don't mind walking. read more

It's the airport and LAX too so what are y'all expecting ??? This terminal gets the job done and at a decent enough pace. I had a United flight from here and there's plenty of check in space and the workers are nice and try to be helpful when they can. If it's your first time traveling or you're unfamiliar with flying, sure it's a lot and a big learning curve with all the little things you have to keep track of. But for someone familiar this terminal does the job. It's nothing super amazing here, at least for where I walked since I mostly arrived just in time for boarding and didn't have time to loiter around too much. read more

Terminal 7 at LAX is a perfectly tuned machine. Terminal 7 is very large and super busy. I am unsure whether it belongs solely to United Airlines. Still, employees are very efficient and reliable, allowing guests to move in and out of the airport promptly. Our entire wait time upon arriving at Terminal 7 was 4 minutes. Using United Airlines' outdoor Bag Drop Shortcut and CLEAR Plus, I made it from the sidewalk to my gate in literally under 10 minutes. One of the smoothest airport experiences I've had. The earthbar was out of acai, so you could not get some smoothies or an acai bowl, so that'a why a 4/5, but the other smoothies also had protein and were very yummy! Swiss airlines is located in Tom Bradly international airport terminal B. Departure area is a bit chaotic with cars often blocking each other in. Arrivals was a bit easier but still chaotic. In any event, its best to be careful if loved ones are trying to pick you up. Better yet, schedule a point at the end for arrivals to pick up where its not soo crazy. 3/5 or use a shuttle. read more

This is probably one of the worst terminals at LAX. First of all this is the last terminal so you may have to circle the whole airport which takes a long time or take the shortcut after terminal one which can be backed up due to the light. Aldo this terminal does not original a a lot of good choices: what's provided is overpriced, unhealthy and poor quality goods. Plus long lines are usually at food stands due to limited choices. Lastly bathrooms are usually dirty and smelly. Unfortunately this is my predominant terminal for me as I fly United normally. read more

Of all the airports I have traveled to and from, this is perhaps the one that gives me a slight twitch each time. Expect delays. Expect long lines. There are so many moving components from airline to TSA, so I can't blame one thing in particular. The place is just ok. You can finally breathe once you arrive at the gate or once you exit the airport. I will say their parking is actually quite easy to navigate, with tram going from all the lots to the airport, however, because there are so many, it does take some time to get to the parking if you are leaving your car overnight. read more

Ever since I got TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, moving through airports that offer this service has been notably faster than regular TSA PreCheck. LAX Terminal 7 has this new service, and it's gotten me through Security in probably the fastest I've ever been through ANY TSA checkpoint in the country. However, the last time I went through, apparently there was some kind of TSA audit or something because nearly every bag (mine included) was pulled to the side for inspection. This slowed things waaaaaaay down and lots of people waiting for their bags told me they would miss their flights because of this. The TSA hit-or-miss processing aside, Terminal 7 is pretty much your classic big-city airline terminal. The signage to get to your gate is pretty self-explanatory, and you'll almost assuredly pass shops, bars, and restaurants along the way if you have time to spare. Terminal 7, minus TSA's inconsistency, is actually pretty good for ultimately getting to your gate. read more

First time flying United, so first time in Terminal 7, and I don't have any complaints. Seems as though this one was more organized than the previous terminals I've used here. Security went smoothly, the lines were actually quick, and thankfully, my gate wasn't too far. There seemed to be some fairly decent food offerings; I went to Coffee Bean and spent way too much on a hot cocoa, but you can't escape the up-cost here at LAX no matter where you are. Finally saw the B Grill by BOA Steak here, but I didn't go since it was around 6am and way too early (and judging by reviews, best I missed out). I would definitely consider flying United again, and wouldn't mind coming back to this terminal! read more

I'm currently sitting on the floor at gate 73 as I type this because all of the seats in the waiting area are already full (there's like 50 max for a regular-sized flight) and it's over an hour before our scheduled departure! UA terminal has lost a step or two. Not enough seating near the 73-77 gates, and the seats are not very comfortable. Bathrooms are okay, food has gotten way too expensive so if you can bring your own, I highly suggest to do it, as well as bringing an empty water bottle, unless you wanna pay $10 for a water. The airline itself is fine, never too many issues at LAX outside the occasional delay, but most of the time, it's been because the inbound plane was already delayed. Unfortunately, United is my preferred airline so I often have to come to T7. Not so bad when travelling on business cuz I'm alone but when I'm with all my girls, it's not the best. read more

This is probably the worst terminal at LAX. It is not the oldest, but it barely has any seating area! It is the most common one to see people sitting or lying on the floor because the gates have less seating areas compared to other terminals. The United lounge is close to the entrance with an extremely long line that you need to wait to get in. There are some restaurants/bars you can go, but you will need to consume vs just chilling in a seat while you wait. I was there 3 hrs before my flight and there was already 0 spots left in my gate for me to sit down. I tried looking at nearby gates and had no success. read more

We needed to drive our aunts and mom to LAX for their early flight to Chicago. United has the most number of direct flights (and best prices), so this meant dealing with Terminal 7, but this time having to park and see them off to Security. This time, everything turned out well. LAX is a big one-way counter clockwise traffic horseshoe, with Terminal 7 on the lowest left side. It does have two short-cuts on the far left side that allows you to cut across from Terminal 2 to Terminal 6....not really sure how much time it saves, but this time it was required since we needed to park and the entrance to the parking garages are in these short-cuts. Because we had gone up to the Departure level, the entrance was on the third floor where we parked in the open air. One must then take stairs/elevators to the arrivals level, then cross the busy streets to make it to the terminal, and then take an elevator back up to the ticketing/departure level. Once we got the luggage checked (lines were not too long on an early Friday morning), we went to the far end of the terminal to get in line for accessibility assistance. This is done by each individual airline, and United did a really nice job here. After receiving the request, it took no more than 15 minutes before attendants came to take our aunts and mom to security. It did help that everyone had Pre-Check, and the attendants took advantage of that. After we said our good-byes, we reversed the way we came (down, across, and then up). We paid our ticket ($7) at a kiosk near the elevators (thereby locking in the duration)...we didn't even need the ticket...our license plate had been scanned and as we approached the gate, it just opened up, allowing us to leave. read more

Terminal 7 for United flights - -always crowded, although having TSA Pre-check helps -not enough seating for passengers waiting to board -not many food options -the absolute worst if you need car service pickup. They only allow Uber Black/Lyft Black premium to pickup curbside from the terminal. Otherwise, you have to take a shuttle to get regular, less expensive options. When getting in late night, exhausted, we paid almost DOUBLE the rate to avoid the hassle of a shuttle. read more

This is my favorite terminal at LAX. You are able to cut all the traffic and get in and out. It is an absolute dream in the hell that is LAX. Somehow the entrance to terminal 1 and 7 are the first ones you can access. Don't drive too fast or you'll miss the left turn to terminal 7 and you'll have to go all the away around the airport to get back to it. Daily parking at terminal 7 is $60. There are much cheaper options if you want to park at a long term parking down the street. The shuttle services will take you up to the airport. read more

On June 28, 2025, I flew with United Airlines. My mother and I checked in at Terminal 7. After checking in, we initially planned to go to Terminal 7, but when the staff gave me my boarding pass, I noticed the gate number hadn't been updated. I checked my phone and saw that the departure gate had changed from Terminal 7 to Terminal 6, which caused me 30 minutes of trouble resolving the gate change issue. Ultimately, it took me another 30 minutes, a total of one hour, to get to the correct gate, arriving exactly one hour before departure time. On flight UA 32 from LAX International Airport to Narita International Airport, I was extremely disappointed. Two flight attendants, one male and one female, were very unprofessional. The male flight attendant seemed annoyed when I requested more water and did not treat customers respectfully. The female flight attendant used her foot to push pillows onto the seats, which was very unsanitary, instead of using gloves. Afterward, I had a 6-hour layover in Narita before boarding ANA flight NH 833 on June 29, 2025. I found the Japanese flight attendants very polite and friendly when my mother and I requested drinks. That's why my mother and I always choose ANA airlines from LAX to Saigon; the Japanese flight attendants are always courteous. I have flown with ANA four times: from LAX to Saigon in the fall of 2023 (twice) and twice in 2025. ANA airlines has never disappointed me. This is the first and last time I will fly with United Airlines from LAX International Airport to Narita, Japan. The male flight attendant's behavior was not only unprofessional but also completely unacceptable to the customer; it showed an absolute lack of respect. Such behavior reveals a serious deficiency in basic training and discipline in customer service. If United Airlines retains him, his disrespectful treatment of passengers on flight UA 32, when I requested water a second time, the male flight attendant became angry with me and my mother and treated us contemptuously because we were from Asia, from Vietnam. I urge United Airlines to review the employment status of this male flight attendant and dismiss him from his job on flight UA 32 from Los Angeles to Narita International Airport, Tokyo, in order to maintain service standards and retain customers. For future flights from Los Angeles to Vietnam, I will choose ANA Airlines starting in 2026. Goodbye United Airlines, I will choose ANA Airlines for my flights from Los Angeles to Vietnam. I will fly ANA Airlines to Vietnam until I'm old. That said it moved quickly, the signage was big and with clear communication to keep everyone moving in the right direction. TSA was surprisingly patient and polite despite people failing to follow directions. Plenty of food and drink options once you're past TSA. I've been sitting in the terminal a couple hours now. I got through boarding passes and baggage checks pretty fast. And now I just have time to kill. There's a few places to eat; a Panda Express, a Carls jr and a coffee bean. There's a restroom right next too gate 80 also. There are places to sit and wait for flights. There are places to plug in your phone to charge. So that is nice. Being able to go on your phone helps pass the time. And the charging stations help a lot. read more

Worst experience I have EVER had checking my luggage. We asked for help with our stickers and the employee literally said, "That ain't my job. If you knew how to read, you would have seen tagging your luggage is step 2." I calmly asked, " We are clearly having trouble, can you please help us?" Her response was, "That ain't my job. Either tag them or get to the back of the line." I asked, "Excuse me? It 'aint' your job to help you paying customers?" Thankfully my wife, 8 year old child, and my 63 year old mother were able to get our luggage tagged. The employe the disrespectfully, violently, and aggressively threw our luggage ( full of breakable souvenirs) on to the conveyor. I found a "manager" to report the issue. She asked who was it. My extremely frustrated wife said, "I'll show you, it's that black bitch over there." Yes, that was not the proper verbiage, however that woman CLEARLY does not understand customer service and my wife was simply trying to describe the employee. The "manager" Then started shouting at my wife and my family that we are racists infront of about 100 strangers who then starter recording (who knows what social media platforms this was posted to) that we are racists for using a word to describe a horrible employee that had ZERO respectfor paying customers or or valuable items in our luggage. The "manager" Then got her "manager" who rolled her eyes when we were trying to explain the situation and our frustration. She then said, "Are you going to act this way at your gate? I will have the police escorte you out now and you won't fly anywhere today." Obviously this airline has ZERO respect for thier PAYING CUSTOMERS. AVOID THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COSTS. read more

I arrived at United Airlines Terminal 7 near Gates 80-86 at 5:30am and there was nothing open for breakfast except Carl's Jr. As a business traveler I do not want to eat fast food on the go and try to seek out more healthier options.
