Beautiful new terminal. Too bad everything else feels like it was designed by people who've never actually flown. Baggage check was a mess, security was even worse, Touchless ID was down, and the baggage scanner line took longer than check-in. At least the architecture is nice while you stand in line. The Olympics should be... interesting. read more

LAX is really busy!! This time my plane landed further from the terminal than usual. We had to go down a series of ramps to get off. It seems like there's always construction going on. It's very clean, but noisy. All the employees I have interacted with have been helpful and kind. There's a lot to look at here too, public art and all kinds of people. read more

Hopped off the plane at LAX and was happy with my experience overall. A big airport for sure, but the process of grabbing my bags and getting where I needed to go was pretty seamless. I was happy with the amount of food options this airport had as well, though prices are what you'd expect them to be. The Delta lounge here is a little hard to find, you'll need to go up an elevator. This airport is clean and well laid out in my opinion. There are plenty of outlets around to charge devices, and ample sitting room at the gates, which I really appreciated. I was traveling to Hawaii and LAX was one of my only options, typically try to fly out of Burbank. But I have to say, LAX has really made huge improvements, I was surprised. I had not flown in or out of LAX for years. Inside was very clean, lots of new shopping experiences, food, etc. the line to check in to our gate was short and moved fast, the security line was also very quick. Could have been we were there at 6am, but either way a much better experience than my previous ones. Traffic getting too and leaving LAX is still a bear and why I am leaving this as 4 stars. It is such a pain driving there and driving back, the round about can be difficult as well, but it is mainly the freeways that are the headache. Overall, very happy with my recent experience at LAX and I would consider traveling through there again when I have to, but the traffic still does not make it my first choice, although they have made tons of great improvements to LAX overall. I used to work for TWA airlines back in the 90's and this was our terminal, how times have changed. Delta spent a ton of money on these major upgrades at this terminal and it shows. Going through security is quick and there are more restaurants and shops to choose from compared to decades ago. LAX still needs to wake up and provide a non stop train or express bus lane to DTLA. read more

Review of the security process at Terminal 3, home of Delta Airlines: Both terminal 2 and 3 share the same security area in terminal 3, with the standard security line beginning near terminal 2 and pre-check line starting near terminal 4. It's important to walk towards the right end after checking your bags, otherwise one would have to fight through people already in line to make it to where you want. My wife and I had an early flight to Boston, and arrived at the airport intentionally early to take advantage of the Delta One lounge access. The Delta check area was operational before 04:00. Both standard and pre-check opens at 04:00. Around 3:55, they opened the barriers and directed us based on our boarding pass. We had 'touchless', which was a different starting line but later realized it all ended up in the same spot (same agent) this early in the morning. As promised, we didn't need show our boarding pass or picture ID...a taken photo was all that was needed. We were through in less than 5 minutes, and ended up waiting 10 minutes to wait for the lounge to open up. read more

We were in our way to Hi and TSA was taking their job way too serious! My bf and I both have TSA pre and I have global entry. We were both "randomly" selected to go through the scanner thing as was about every 3 out of 4 people. On top of that, I was asked to remove my jacket, watch and take my iPad out! My bf was asked to take his shoes off and place his laptop outside and his iPad on a separate bin. From there, his bag also got flagged. There were so many "flagged" bags that the conveyor had stopped. We sat them making an older lady open a tin of cookies that was sealed and was supposed to be a gift only to find out there was nothing wrong with it. My bf got flagged because he had a vape in his bag. They have never flagged his vape before and he travels often. Overall we were there about 30 mins just because of them being a pain. read more

Screening is vastly improved along with the gate hold rooms, waiting areas, shops and restaurants. 4/21/2015 - Boarding The Westin Los Angeles Airport Shuttle leaving at 7:55 AM and arrived at the Delta Terminal 2 at 8:03 AM. Thereafter, 1) went through a self-checking kiosk to get a boarding pass; 2) went through a security checkpoint via my Global Entrance ID, which cut down the time by an estimated 30 minutes; 3) exiting the checkpoint at 8:30 AM after my carry-on bag was sorted out for an additional inspection, which took about 8 minutes due to Men's Disposable Cotton Boxer 20pk - No issue at all. Started to walk and enjoy the hallway scene beginning at 8:30 AM. Took a few photos for sharing. Tip: Enjoy the WESTIN CLUB LOUNGE at EVENING APPITISERS last night and BREAKFAS this morning, which is better than DELTA SKY CLUB in my opinion. Watch the video of the Club Lounge at this site for comparison with the SKY CLUB - See the fresh juice I had this morning at the WESTIN CLUB LOUNGE. In summary, boarding the Delta International flight at the Terminal 3 this morning is so smoothly - a 5-atar rating is warrantted! We made it to lax airport headed home and there was not a long line but the checkout process was horrible we went through tsa with an hour to spare but by the scanning process was long, slow, and ridiculously unorganized. My grand baby had a simple stroller and it took them 20 minutes to pass it to us. There was 23 of us and they searched each one of our carry one items, by the time we got to plane we had less than 15 minutes to board. Saturday morning flight - the weekend day might be the reason it only took 15 minutes to get to my gate, after stepping out of my Uber. The ride share drops you off right at the door of Delta bag drop. Tag your bag, drop it without showing id or boarding pass (seamless if you have Delta Digital ID - if you don't, you need to opt in for it. It's free, you just need a passport). Security was a breeze (Clear + Precheck). Sometimes is hard to find these services, but not at LAX. Plenty of food and drink options at the gates. Very wide open and spacious, it has been thoughtfully redone recently, and it works. It is worth noting that I have never given an airport 5 stars. read more

It's LAX, what I can say... the traffic is always bad no matter what they have done for the last two decades. Starbucks is much more expensive inside--$8 for a grande vanilla bean frap. The good thing is that Jersey Mike's price seems not too high compared to the outside world. The dining area is kind of dirty. Nobody comes to clean it. Arrived here around 10am local time for a short layover from RDU, headed to Japan! The walk from where I arrived to my departure terminal wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The terminal map on deltas app was helpful! From what I observed, it was very clean. The gate agents I interacted with were helpful! I did notice limited food options. Although I was hungry, I didn't have time to stop. Hopefully my airplane food is tasty as I have a long flight ahead of me! read more

We flew into and out of Terminal 3 during our last trip through LAX. Since my last time flying the Delta ATL-LAX nonstop route, I think several of the Delta/domestic terminals at LAX have been upgraded including this one. In general, the airport looks better and more up-to-date now. Aesthetics aside, inside security on Level 3 (Departures), Terminal 3 was a bit bare when it came to vendors. There were only four food and beverage options. However, the terminal was functional, clean, and had essential features, so overall, I thought it was OK. We had lunch at Native by Nyesha next to Gate 33. Native by Nyesha is a New American and Asian fusion restaurant and bar by California native and TV celebrity chef Nyesha Joyce Arrington. At the time of our visit, this was the only restaurant with sit-down service in Terminal 3. I liked the pork belly tacos, but seating was tight. I used the men's restroom and water fountains both near Gate 35 and in between Gates 31A and 33. The restrooms were modern, spacious, and reasonably clean. I liked the contactless sinks with touch-free soap, water, and hand dryers plus motion-sensing paper towel dispensers. The back of the larger men's room, between Gates 31A and 33, had a counter with mirrors, lights, and power outlets for shaving which I thought was nice. There was a full-length mirror or two too. I ended up brushing my teeth here. I also filled up my water bottle outside at one of the two Elkay filling stations. Those water bottle filling stations are always convenient. There wasn't adequate seating for everyone on our outbound flight at Gate 31A. We ended up sitting with a bunch of other passengers on our flight across the way near Gates 30A and 30B. Not a big deal, but it was harder to hear the gate announcements. There were enough power and USB outlets at the seats, and LAX offers free Wi-Fi. When I used it, the connection was strong and decently fast. I had to watch a short ad before connecting. My wife and I and another couple were amused by the Gameway located next to Gate 30B. Gameway "is the world's first premium video game lounge located in airports." As a gamer, I thought it looked cool, but I had no interest in using it. Maybe if I was wide awake, bored, and had a really long layover. We had a great experience with the TSA checkpoint for this terminal. We used PreCheck. Terminals 2 and 3 use the same checkpoint for regular security, TSA PreCheck, and CLEAR. After going through security, Terminal 3 is left and Terminal 2 is right. Terminal 3 has the gate numbers in the 30s and Terminal 2 has the gate numbers in the 20s. If you travel with any sort of regularity, I recommend signing up for TSA PreCheck. It's currently $85 for five years. The convenience (e.g., you don't have to remove anything from your bags or anything off yourself) and time savings are worth it. If you travel internationally, even just once in five years, get Global Entry. It's $100 for five years and includes PreCheck. The prices haven't gone up for many years so these programs are a better value now more than ever. Some credit cards cover both Global Entry and TSA PreCheck enrollment fees. Examples include the Bank of America Premium Rewards Card, the Capital One Venture Rewards Card, and the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card. While we had no line and no wait at security, it did take us almost half an hour to check one bag with Delta downstairs on Level 2 (Ticketing / Check-In). Delta's check-in counters moved from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3. Oh my gosh. For sure h a busy airport hub, I guess LAX isn't too bad. There is construction going on because they're preparing for the 2028 Olympics. There's lots of traffic and crazy drivers trying to get to the terminals. Just have a little patience and be careful of those crazy drivers weaving in and out of the lanes. The airport itself is a wonder. Every airline imaginable is here. Some of the terminals are a hike, meaning you've got a long walk to get there. I don't get anxiety every time I hear I've got to drop off or pick someone up at LAX or as a passenger. But I'm glad they're kinda revamping it... we need it! read more

When we arrived at Delta Terminal 3 at LAX, everything went smoothly, including the TSA process, for our red-eye flight to FLL. We arrived at 6:30 pm, didn't need to check a bag, and had our tickets on our phone. There was a gate change, but it didn't cause any issues. From the skycap to the gate, it took us a maximum of 10-15 minutes. The airport is opening new restaurants, where we bought a Caesar wrap and a bottle of water for $30. I would recommend bringing your own food and drinks from home, which is what we usually do, but unfortunately, I left my food bag near the curb and when I went back for it, it was gone.=( read more

01/25/24 I obviously don't pay attention to the changes that LAX has made to their terminals but when I tell you that this was the best day I've ever had at this airport ...ugh so good. First off, my hubby misunderstood my schedule. He thought we were leaving the house at 5:45pm but my flight leaves at 5:25pm. He couldn't take me because of work, so I ubered over here. From Long Beach to LAX, 25 minutes at 3pm on a Thursday. Amazement #1. Next, I was worried about security check-in being too long. It took less than 10 minutes from standing in line to getting through. Amazement #2. Now I am sitting at my terminal 2 hours early (as standard) but I really thought I'd barely be making it in time to board. Amazement #3. The new structure of this airport is so good now. I remember it always to be chaos. Maybe it's just a great day today? I don't know but I'm a happy traveler. Terminal 3 Delta is beautiful (yes I said beautiful) and there are so many good places to eat. It makes me want to stay a while lol read more

OK... in my opinion any review written earlier than 2024 can basically be thrown out because T3 is a total transformation literally from the ground up! Seriously, no more circular shape, this terminal was squared off offering much more room to move about. The seating area is also quite nice, especially if you can snag a seat next to the windows while you wait on your flight. There are ample eat/drink venues and more importantly, much better restroom facilities! Good news to boot, there is now a post security walk thru to TBT and T2 for your flight connections, so no need to exit and re-enter. The only thing that I miss is the small outside seating area that used to be up near the front of the building. I mean, its LA, the weather is perfect for some passenger outdoor space. Terminal 3 is were you will find Delta Airlines. There are several staff members in the lobby to assist with directions and kiosk check-in. Unfortunately for me iI had to speak with a ramp agent to correct my name on my boarding ticket. When I arrived at 6:30am there was only one ramp agent Belinda. She was doing a great job at keeping the line down. By 7 am the line was long and more ramp agents were opening their windows. Belinda assisted me with correcting the spelling of my name on my ticket. The process was long but she got it done. Her demeanor is bar none one of the best. The gate area was clean and plenty of seats available. Great eaters and shops at this terminal. The crew aboard DL1875 were great. read more

Aeromexico is located in Terminal 3 (alongside Delta) so I had to use it recently. It is big, clean, but not super impressed. Food selection is poor (Jamba, Homeboy), so I was glad to bring my own food from home because I was so not impressed. I could use more options to purchase foods, better restaurants and stores overall. Also, a tad noisy for me at the gate area. Otherwise, clean gate areas, lots of seating. Could have more charm, but LAX is lacking that! read more

Wow Terminal 3 at LAX has gotten really nice! I haven't flown out of this terminal in a while, but it seems like everything is super new and renovated. The TSA pre check line was fast and everyone working there was actually SO FRIENDLY. I walked around the terminal and there's plenty of seating, lots of areas with outlets, and plenty of stands selling snacks + and good amount of restaurants. The general area is pretty new looking and everything is spotless and clean. The restrooms too were super spacious, clean, and very nice! I have priority pass, and there's a Game room where you can get a free snack and drink (+ 1 hour of gaming lol). Even my Uber drop off at Terminal 3 was super smooth and seamless. read more

DISGUSTING. As a citizen, I watched desk 30 physically assault a visiting guest in my country today 11/16 at 11:20am. The agent wasn't even the one to help me but I watched enough of his interactions in line to be shocked. He shoved a guys hand away and yanked it enough to classify as assault if he was in public. Because you can't record, I don't think people have been caught. The guy helping me threw my passport back at me. Where is the decency? I've never been treated this way in any other country I've visited. I'm embarrassed our tourists have to experience this first thing they visit . read more

I'm impressed by the newly renovated Terminal 3 LAX of Delta Airlines. It's clean and the restroom is spacious and well kept. There's even a gaming lounge and of course decent food and restaurant selection. The terminal gates are equipped with chairs with electrical outlets and chargers. The restaurant Native had nice servers. It's refreshing to be in airport terminal that's clean and not falling apart. If only every terminal in LAX can be as well kept as this :) read more
