    Vanilla n Pineapple Dole Whip
    Brandon N.

I came across this little Lawson-style convenience store while I was on the way to Waikiki Beach and dam, thank god I did. It's a small shop, filled with with unique snacks and drinks that will be hard to find elsewhere in Hawaii. It felt like I was in Japan again. The best part was definitely the Dole Whip. I got the vanilla pineapple swirl, and it was perfect. Creamy, refreshing, and not too sweet. The pineapple flavor was so fresh and juicy, it honestly tasted better than the ones at the big touristy spots. I'd come back just for that only. Whether you're craving something different or just need a quick treat, this place is 100% worth a stop. Highly recommend!

Shaved Ice! Low-key, one of the best spots on the island for shaved ice. Right next to the Moana surf rider hotel, this is Jim gives you all your sweet tooth is looking for. My only problem here is there is no seating and you have to find somewhere to tuck away to eat or enjoy your food. We were staying at the Western next-door, so we're looking enough to be able to sit down in the lobby and enjoy on a sunny Hawaiian day.

Such a cute little convenience shop-meets-hidden gem spot! I grabbed some souvenirs here (because obviously I need snacks and trinkets), but what really made me stop and smile was the food. I tried their oden, which was both yum and affordable -- my friend was actually shocked to see it on the menu because she's only ever had it in Asia. Honestly, Hawaii feels like this magical fusion of Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan, and this place is a perfect example of that. Also had their pineapple and blue vanilla soft serve (around $8), and it was good. They've got a lot of interesting items on the menu -- I even spotted ice cream served in a hot dog bun?? Didn't try it but I respect. Great little stop before heading to the beach. Chill vibes, unique snacks, and definitely worth a quick detour.

Lawson is a chain of convenient stores, and they have drinks, beverages, snacks, and shave ice. We stopped by to see if they had any snacks that we could purchase to go, but their selection was slightly limited. Staff were friendly, and the place is nestled on a busy street near Waikiki Beach. +limited snack items +friendly service

A small market at the end of the Waikiki strip, just before reaching the beach, was the perfect spot for a quick snack. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a wider photo, but it's essentially a convenience store. I loved the variety of onigiri options and chose one for my beach snack. I'd definitely stop by again if I'm in the area!

My boyfriend and I were trying to look for a good Place to get Dole Whipp but it seemed like all the machines in the area were broken or we would have to wait an indefinite amount of hours. Luckily, we were able to find this Lawson store at Hawaii, across the International mall and to be honest, I was quite surprised with the quality of the whip as well as the toppings for the price! No seating area tho but I don't expect that from a convenient store. :)

Lawson Station in Waikiki Oahu is a convenient shop that also serves shaved ice. I went in knowing I wanted to try the Matcha shaved ice since I had never seen it offered anywhere else. The customer service was just okay and there really wasn't much of an ambience, but the Matcha shaved ice itself was delicious. My only complaint is that they were a little stingy with the flavoring because the whole center didn't have any Matcha.

Hands down one of the best shaved ice on the island. The ice is soft enough to eat with your lips. The flavors and rich and doesn't taste artificial. The lady's that work in the store are nice and every time I went in for shaved ice they were very nice and helpful. They hook the flavors up on the ice to were you are not just eating ice. It's enough to were it melts you still have flavoring in your cup. It's a nice little store sometimes it can get crowded in there. Yes you might get a small ice piece closer to the end of your shaved ice but it's still worth every penny. To me shaved ice is just the ice and NOTHING else. Like I said hands down one of the best shaved ice on the island.

if you're looking for huge portions, power punching flavor then this place is for you! it's definitely not your traditional natural flavoring hawaiian shaved ice because theirs is definitely more artificial tasting but if that's your thing then perfect! it's honestly more similar to your classic american styled shaved ice where you would find in the mainland but it wasn't bad at all! we got pineapple soft serve underneath and as good as it was, it was too much for our liking lol but overall not bad!

Love the ladies who work here...more than just cashiers they were friendly and informative. They asked me if I'd like to sample all the Frozen Flavors...not the usual just try one. I decided on the Pineapple Cup and ended up with a mountain I'll be back!

We decided to try out some shaved ice from here since my cousin recommended it for a quick bite. We went on 7/4 after walking around a bit after dinner. We decided to get the lilikoi & mango snow ice, ali'i mega soft serve, and a new item with melon ice cream (can't remember the name unfortunately). The snow ice and soft serve definitely satisfied our sweet cravings after dinner and were quickly finished off. The fruits were frozen rather than fresh, but not that big of a deal considering it's a convenience store after all. I only tried a bit of the melon but I didn't enjoy the artificial melon flavor as much so I ate the other two more. Can't go wrong if you're looking for a quick treat!

Wow so yummy!! Going into the store they have cold drinks and chips and other munchies for sale but - at the counter they have some friendly cashiers who eagerly wait to take your order. There are just a couple of choices of ice cream or icees. I highly recommend you getting the Dole whip. You can get the Dole whip in a cone or cup- I got mine in a cone but it was melting so fast she gave me a cup - no worries it was delicious!! Hard it explain but I will try- It had a wonderful pineapple flavor, Non dairy, it wasn't really cold (no brain freeze even though I tried to eat it so fast because it was so yummy) It was more like eating a salt water taffy. Cool and chewy but so much more flavor! Enjoy

During lunch she sets up an array of entrees ... I usually choose one chicken dish and a vegetable with fried rice or noodles. A co-worker always gets the Honey-Walnut shrimp. It's hard to find a better deal in a plate lunch in downtown Honolulu. The prices of their freshly sliced fruit are very reasonable and the portions are generous. The plastic containers are packed to the brim. Although there are bentos available & other goodies, I am mostly here for the delicious musubi. Why so good? My opinion, lets start with spam, perfectly cooked, with secret sauce, love the umami taste while I took my first bite, and the rice is hot & moist, not watery & not premium rice but it is still good, along with the nori. I loved everything about this musubi. Great spam to rice ratio. The only thing that I need is some of my chili spices! Mom & Pop is super friendly, I remember asking how many musubi's they sell a day and owner mentioned they make and sell over 100 a day. I usually park quick at the loading zone of Kukui Plaza, let the security know and walk over real quick to load up on my musubi(s). Don't forget cash only! Every time I walk inside, there's a strong, unpleasant odor that smells like sewage or fecal matter. It's consistent enough that it doesn't feel like a one-off issue--it's something you notice immediately when you enter the store. At times it seems stronger in certain areas, which makes me wonder if it's coming from plumbing, floor drains, or possibly even outside air getting pulled in. What's frustrating is that this location used to feel like one of the better-run stores on the island. Now, the overall impression is very different. Even if the shelves are stocked and the staff is doing their job, the environment itself really affects the experience of shopping there. What stands out is the comparison with nearby stores like Safeway, which don't seem to have the same issue, even though they serve the same general area. That contrast makes the problem at this location even more noticeable. I hope management takes a serious look at it, because this doesn't feel like a minor cleanliness issue--it feels like an infrastructure or maintenance problem that's been left unresolved for too long. It's a shame, because the store has a lot of potential and used to be a go-to spot.
