This review is only based on their amazing
beer selection
wonderful customer service
and great ambiance.
I and my boyfriend came here late on Friday night when we were in search for a draft and ideally wheat bear. In Lawrence, we found both. They have super tasty Krombacher on their tap. So start with that if you are a beer fan.
Unfortunately, we had a dinner before coming here but they still gave us some tasty legumes with spices to snack on with our beers. Frankly, I'm not sure if that's common and typical Arabic food as I have sadly never tried any (yet!) but it definitely got my curiosity started and I will be on a lookout for Arabic restaurant in my city.
The whole place has lots of beautiful photographs, big windows that I'm sure must provide lots of great natural light during a day. Also, white and bright colors make the place look very neat, clean and cosy. Simply, an awesome ambiance!
Beside the cool energy of the place and delicious beers, my favorite part of Lawrence is their excellent customer service. Both of our bartenders - Derek and Anisa were incredibly friendly and so nice to chat with. So feel free to come here alone and just hang out in the bar area. It's fun to watch them making cocktails and practice your languages here.
All staff seem to know several languages which is awesome if you are Spanish, English or many other language speaker as you will not have any language barriers issues here. The staff are a great combination of international folks.
When I asked our wonderful bartenders - Anisa and Derek what is the number one dish they would recommend us to try - they said Mekklube (rice with lamb meat and plants). Unfortunately, we didn't have time to come back here for the meal and try this dish during our stay in Berlin, but when I come back - this place is first on my list. If you get a chance, try Mekklube and let me know how it was. I have no doubt it is going to be fantastic.
I would totally recommend the visit. read more
