Dishonest company. I had signed up for lawn service as well as tree/shrub service. It went Ok for a while, then early this summer the technician burned my grass with the fertilizer and equipment. I called the service line and emailed pictures of the lines of dead grass in my lawn. The representative apologized and offered the next service for free. Then they came back out in July and burned my grass again. I literally swept away piles of fertilizer from the burning areas of my lawn with a broom to try to mitigate. I called and emailed pictures again. They sent out someone to investigate and he said it was being caused by an insect infestation. AND they charged me for the service that was supposed to be free. NO THANKS. Service cancelled immediately and charges disputed with the credit card company. Now they are wanting to discuss why I am disputing the charges. read more

This company was sold to a new owner and is now located in Plano. Their product and service significantly decreased. After months of expressing dissatisfaction. I discontinued service partially due to a representative by the name of "Nathan" continuously hounding me for payment for services unrendered. At $125-$140 per treatment given the lack of results. Also, when we first started services with them, their marketing gimmick was that their competitors treat the lawn 8 or more times per yr, while they only treat 6 times per year and get better results. I've not personally used lawn care but I did come in contact with two of their employees while at a traffic light. I looked down to pick up my drink and the light happen to change and I guess I didn't start moving fast enough the their driver/employee or owners liking so they honked the horn. I then started through the light and the drive pulls up to my car in the lane beside me and the passenger in the truck continues to flip me off. Wow... not very professional!! We used Lawn Tech for many years across two homes so I feel I am qualified to write this review. This company was sold to a national company in 2021 and it shows. This spring our entire St. Augustine lawn died and has not come back. They came out multiple times since the start of the year and never once mentioned that the lawn had a disease (service reports in November, Feb, March mentioned nothing). Then we called them in April when all of our neighbors lawns had turned green. Miles the district manager came out and told us that we had a fungus infestation and our entire lawn needed new sod in it. Later on a call, not only did he refused to admit that they had anything to do with this or work with me on the plan ahead. When I requested to cancel service, he rudely hung up the phone - while screaming on his associate Cooper to "Cancel the account right now". So if you want to have rude customer service where you might be yelled at, dead lawn or generally pay for nothing this is your place. If not, there are many better local and national providers with better reviews. read more

Honestly I thought they had been doing good with the weed treatment but my yard after the last treatment was a disaster. Both of my neighbors yards look way better than mine even thou one has no treatment and one has from different vendor. One neighbor uses another company and they are so much better. My other neighbor was like me and had no help but their yard is awesome. Both neighbors asked me what was happening with my yard and I said I made a bad decision with lawn care. Now I have to manage to recover what is left of my front and backyard. In all the years of taking care of my own yard by myself I have not seen such destruction. I have a green thumb since I grew up in an agriculture environment and I am sad to say my decision with LT was wrong. They didn't even ask me how they could help or fix the problem. They only said a manager would drop by to see/review the yard and I didn't hear back afterwards. Never again :( bad customer service. You can see the impact of LT service by the mailbox where all the overspray occurred. I can't say how their lawn person kept settings throughout my yard but it was not AT ANYWAY GOOD. read more

I switched over to Lawn Tech for my trees/shrubs at the beginning of the year . I loved their knowledge, process and results so I switched over my lawn treatments as well. I have always taken pride in my lawn and it has always looked good. That said, they are 3 applications in on my lawn and have done an aeration. Today they applied two different fungicides as all the rain has caused Gray leaf spot in my new St Aug sod and red thread in my zoysia. Other services I've used may have ignored that. I was impressed and I was told that each fungicide was more effective for both issues. I know the importance of proper watering and mowing because if you don't do that right then the treatments aren't as effective. Whelp, I was over-watering and my technician took the time to show me what to look for and give very specific instruction. Mark was vastly knowledgeable, helpful and again, took more time with me than he had to. It felt like he was treating his lawn to me. I saw a few poor reviews on here and I wanted to share that my experience has been all-world. I've had 4 other services over the years and this is a keeper! 5 Stars! Thanks Lawn Tech! Lawn Tech called me after I stopped my service a year later and questioned where I moved to and who bought my house. Specifically asked if I know the name of the people that bought my house. I've never had a company ask me these questions. These people are intrusive and unprofessional. It's no one business where I move if I moved or who bought my house. This is harassment. read more

I used Lawn Tech for their aeration services on my lawn. Tech was nice and seemed to do a good job. I ran my sprinklers after and noticed two areas where my sprinklers had been punctured. I contacted the company and sent them pictures of the damage. They stated they are only responsible to repair sprinkler heads. This company does not stand behind their work. After a year of using LawnTech I cancelled today. There is usually a kind gentleman who comes and looks like he genuinely cares about what he does but on this last occasion a different guy came and spent 15 minutes and left. I called and asked why he only did the front of my house and they apologised and said someone would be right back. No one returned. I called again the next day and spoke to Miles we agreed I would send him video from my ring showing that his guy only did the front. I did. The ring camera picked up every minute he was here and shows him in each clipped until he left. You can see him working in the front, he never leaves. I called Miles after I sent the email only to be told that the guy did my back garden because he knows what it looks like & it's just that my camera wasn't working that day. I explained that I had video from that day as the same time he was here my back fence was being replaced and it went off constantly. He as good as called me liar. Said it was my word against their employee. What baffles me is why on earth would I lie after a year of service and never complaining, I know nothing about maintaining my lawn which is extremely large, this is why I hired them in the first place. I'm soo disheartened and disgusted by the customer service I received today that I've written a review and that's not something I normally do. If they had said something along the lines of we had a quick look at the back and decided it needed no work, I could understand that but to make out that I was somehow being disingenuous / lying or my camera just stopped working is beyond the pale. read more

Lost the yard... Lawn Tech got it back quickly I tried to keep up with the weeds by going all in and battling. I thought I had a good strategy and the right products. I was losing the yard and could not get the weeds out and they had reinforcements coming in daily. I finally called for help and Lawn Tech did an amazing job that knocked the weeds out and yard was looking great after only one or two treatments. It has been worth every penny and I'm very happy so far. I used another big name company in the past at a different location and they were useless. Not the case with Lawn Tech. If you want to record a conversation you MUST tell the customer that you are recording, Therefore, you can not use said recording in a court of law as you told me. I never mention a court of law. As far as your cancellation fee, the cancellation is on you when you said Freddy will squeeze me in next Monday or Tuesday. Why don't you put your real business pants on and work past 5 pm like most company's when your running behind and not make the customer suffer because you want to go home. I guess the bottom line is I get a lot of compliments on how good my yard looks. I also really like the way they send a summary via email after they're done. They send an email prior to coming telling you they will show up the next day. It just seems to be a well run company. read more

We have used Lawn Tech for many years as our lawn maintenance company didn't do weed control. Now then do but there was no reason to switch. They always call ahead to let one know they are coming the next day. No weeds to speak of and much better control then when I attempted to do it myself. read more

They are great at communication and try to send the same tech out so he knows the lawn and where the trouble spots are. Lawn Tech has been my choice of my lawn weed and feed company for a few years. Last year there were some weeds about my lawn even treating didn't get rid of. This year I can count on one hand the number of weeds I found on my lawn. Their service is working. I always receive an e-mail a day or two prior to their visit so I may unlock my back gate. The technician leaves notes on the service receipt letting me know of any problems and what I may do to keep my lawn healthy. I find all Lawn Tech employees, field and office, are very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. read more

This did happen, but as I say at the end - they called me back and are fixing it... Been using them for years and do appreciate that they only come out 5 times a year to save a bit of money. Have somewhat gotten disenchanted with their attitudes though. Not the first time for rudeness but may be the last. I called when I received my message that they would be out the next day to ask if they could put down chemicals for insects (flea-tick) and grubs on the yard. After I heard a giggle Stephen (I think that name is correct) informed me that "First of all those are two treatments - one is a spray and one granular and second there is a 48.95 charge for each" I said, well that's a bit high but since your coming tomorrow lets go ahead and do. Was a bit put off though - I am aware two different treatments but I'm not a lawn technician nor do I care what type of treatments they are - just want them done but didn't appreciate his arrogance. I also asked that they would look at the bushes for insects, etc. I was quickly charged the additional treatments. So in it for about $150 at this point. The next day I received a call from their technician at my home - unfortunately at work and it was a Florida number so I did not pick up. It was Miles to let me know that he had been asked to quote me for bugs on shrubs and that he did see some on one bush and also that there was some disease on the front bushes. $40 should take care of it. But he didn't have one of the chemicals he needed on his truck. He also informed me that they would not be in my side yard for "any service of any kind" as my dog door was open. I loved the tone on that... They have treated out there before - but I sometimes I have gotten a note saying dogs were out so they couldn't. But not when I've asked for 3 services and that is the main point for the flea and ticks... Probably a bit upset already anyway. I've left a message back - so what did he do for the $150? I'd like the $40 treatment as well as the other treatments completed. I will need to know before or after 12 so I can shut the dog door for him. Hmmm, seems like a hassle that the yard mowing company has offered to take over. We shall see. They called back and we have arrangements for it to be fixed up... this is the first year living in the Dallas area. Our backyard had a lot of weeds. I contacted LawnTech to set up a program for treating the weeds. They did an excellent job at killing the weeds and the grass looks great. They always notify me in advance when they are coming for the next treatment. Lawn tech has done a great job with my lawn ... My ground is very uneven but you can't tell because my grass is so thick that its like walking on a high quality carpet .. They fertilized for fleas ( have none) fire ants ( none ) and my very sick looking trees are growing nicely .. all new landscape in 2016 - so this is year later . Also , they aireated the lawn so the chemicals get to the roots of the grass. And , we do not have any weeds ! read more

I hired them because of their supposed expertise in lawn care. After numerous treatments under their guidance, my yard is now disease ridden and dead looking. I paid them an additional $127 less than two weeks ago for their "disease" treatment and now they want to charge me again because it didn't help. The tech who was onsite today was rude and basically told me that it wasn't their responsibility to ensure my yard remains healthy. They are just here to apply chemicals. Zero accountability and zero stake in the health of your yard. I fired them on the spot. This is an update on a prior review. I have a voicemail recording of lawn tech leaving me a message that the treatment they would be putting on my lawn would cause yellow patches in the areas where I had weed issues. After the treatment a very large area in my back yard (that had no weeds) began to die. Long story short Lawntech said I had not watered enough in the area....refused to accept any responsibility for their error and now continue to send me bills for their poor service. I have never seen a company so unconcerned with the happiness of clients. In the very beginning all they had to do was tell me how to fix the yellow patch and possibly offer me a free treatment. They NEVER told me how to fix the area the only thing they would tell me was it was not their fault.Please read other bad reviews below! Not the first complaint of dead areas! read more

This company is TERRIBLE!!! I am NOT a customer; however, they treated my lawn anyway as apparently they did not bother to check the house number before treating the lawn.... lawn care 101 - first be sure you have the correct property!!! Extra treatments (Lawn Tech Corporation's treatment of my lawn on top of the treatment of my lawn by my own lawn care company - the one I actually hired) can do damage and harm my lawn. When I called Lawn Tech to speak with a manager and notify him of the situation, he basically couldn't care less. He was extremely defensive and RUDE!!!!!!!! I'm all about customer service.
