Sure, the grass still goes dormant and turns brown in the middle of winter... and it starts to green a little on its own... then Lawn Masters applies the first, then the second application, and the green explodes, and the grass grows so thick and tall. So nice. The grass is growing so wonderfully well that we're filling our dumpster with clippings each week. Lawn Masters also offers spray for ticks and chiggers... and also lawn cutting services. They did a good job, but the quote they gave me was wildly off. They showed up, unannounced when I was out of town to do the work and only called me once they were already at my house. They originally quoted me $2,300 for the service and the final invoice was $3,500. Several services were hourly but not accounted for in original quote and this was not explained. Definitely had sticker shock when I received the invoice. All in all, while their landscapers did a good job, their business practices could be better. read more

Would not recommend. Hired for landscape job and was told would return the next day to finish the job. Never returned but sent a bill for 2x amount agreed upon. After meeting with owner was promised to finish the job for additional payment and have not returned. We are left with unfinished job ! read more

Double treated my yard with fertilizer and pre-emergent, even after we canceled a year ago. Ruining any seeds I put down and hampering my flower seeds germination. These people just care about profit and not the people they serve. No lawn care service is trust worthy as many people I know have had similar experiences with a variety of companies. read more

Two people came out. They didn't speak English, so we had difficulty communicating with them. They were very friendly and polite, but in the three days that they were here, they spent most of the time standing around talking to each other and looking at their phones. They did a hack job on our property and and as a result killed several of our landscape plants. The project manager was unhelpful and refused to address our concerns. I shared my concerns with the COO and he was equally unhelpful. He seemed offended that I had even contacted them about customer service. If you work with this company, be sure to get every small detail in writing and then keep an eye on the workers (or video tape them like we did) because Lawn Masters will say say one thing and deliver another. read more

I used this company in the past for landscaping and quarterly yard aerating and fertilizing. I had to cancel the quarterly service because I could not get home to let them on my property before 3:30pm. I get that. They don't work after 4 and on Saturday. However I called and left 3 messages in the last 3 weeks to get a bid on landscaping and each time told someone will call me back. I have heard from no one. Unfortunate! We first used Lawn Masters to redo some landscaping and were satisfied with the results. The next year, we had them do our fertilizing program and were satisfied with that as well. This past season, we also had them do our weekly mowing. They were reasonably priced and did okay for the price we paid. Every company has some issues, but the minor ones we experienced have not been worth switching companies. After 2 seasons of their fertilizing program, I feel like our lawn looks better than it had with the previous service we used. We have paid our invoice in full; but allow me a few moments to discuss the service we received. First, the lawn was poorly aerated. In the time of ring and other security cameras, it is very easy to go back and watch video of the quality of work performed in the yard. Many portions of the yard were skipped with respect to aeration and overseeding. The portions of the yard that were overseeded were barely covered. The aeration quality was extremely poor as well. However, the biggest issue was that one of the workers collided with the siding on the house, putting several large gashes in the siding. The entire piece of siding was moved and slid away from the house. It will require repair to fix the siding. When the office was called, they dismissed the damage, the poor quality in overseeding and aeration. When the supervisor came out, he was equally as unprofessional and dismissive, upsetting my wife to the point where she left and went inside. We will not be using your service again. We will also encourage friends and neighbors not to use your service. read more

I have used Lawn Masters for 3 years and was happy with them until this year. I put in a request for fall service back in August and followed up with emails to the owner twice, but they never came out to do it. CAUTION! Signed up for their lawn mowing service. I talked to Jay who was really nice and they seemed to do a good job mowing. After 2 weeks I asked if we could go to bi-weekly because weekly wasn't necessary. They charge $35 per mow. They said they ONLY offer the WEEKLY mow; which makes this seem like a money trap. Pretty disappointed with that customer service. read more

Not sure why my experience was different than other reviewers below, but Lawn Masters was the worst I've ever hired-- in just the three weeks I employed them before I fired them, I had missed appointments, failures to respond to calls (for multiple days), services requested that went unfulfilled, rude phone receptionists, and damage to my yard. We finally terminated our contract after 2+ years of less than adequate performance. I am so glad Lawn Masters was referred to me by a coworker. There isn't a plant, rock wall etc on my property they don't know how to maintain and care for. I have used these guys for a number of years, after my previous lawn service's quality just got too shoddy. It also helped that Lawn Masters is very affordable. I don't know how they make money off me, but they keep me as a customer and don't raise my rates every year. Anyway, the lawn is also cut well, and they do a nice job of making sure that grass clippings are mulched up. If there are too many clippings to mulch with the mower, like when the grass is growing so quickly in the spring, then they will rake them onto a tarp and take the clippings away. Whenever I've had a question or request, I just leave a message and get a call back pretty quickly. Over the years, I have added more services from Lawn Masters. First it was having them mulch my landscaping in the spring. Again, for a very reasonable price. And you can request brown or black mulch - maybe other colors, but I go with brown. I like my mulch to get put out a little earlier than most, so when I call to schedule it, I always ask them to put it out by a certain date, and they do that for me. Then a few years later, I started having Lawn Masters aerate my lawn each fall. Yet again, they do a fine job with the aerating, and again it is quite cheap. read more

LawnMasters has completed two major projects for us at two different homes. The first included extensive landscape design with many different areas of unique plants as well as front/back/side yard and flower box irrigation. Christa took the time to learn our unique design aesthetic and presented an expert drawing with several budget options. She assisted us with plant selection at several nurseries where we got just the right pieces, and coordinated all aspects of the project including wrangling other companies. Most recently LawnMasters came to our new residence and solved a serious drainage problem along the entire back of our house. Christa not only designed the complex multi-strategy and component drainage system, but also helped us pick a beautiful option for rock, grass line, etc. The previous owners had a mess of retaining wall, patio, concrete pads and railroad ties which Christa completely redesigned on budget: To finish off the project they excavated an entire hill while preserving our tree roots, custom cut amazing huge stones Christa found into hardscaping, built a multi-tier retaining wall planting box system with hidden drains, matched and extended our old retaining wall, got grass to grow where we never could, jack hammed up concrete ... There is nothing these guys couldn't get done to make the end result perfect. Again we were guided through plant selection at several nurseries to find just the right plants to complete the look. This project was completed on time and on budget, and the final product was even better than we had imagined. Use LawnMasters and take Christa's expert advice! read more

They were so nice and respectful and cared very much the job was done right! Jay the salesman was great and arrange my job and another neighbor's job at the same time so I could let them into his house also! The price was also very fair. The only snafu was that they had to go get a longer tree trimmer so it took a bit longer that we had planned. Overall, I would use them again!! read more

We did the usual. Got three bids. Three different prices. Three different approaches. Chose Lawnmasters because they seemed the most invested in OUR project. It was not just another job to them, it was OUR job. Jay was attentive, concerned, and professional. The work crew were conscientious. We could not have had our project done any better. They also were responsive to minor changes since things can seem different on paper than when the plants arrive. Great choice now and will be our choice in the future. read more

We had the worst experience using LawnMasters. After we had concrete poured, they came to start grading our yard. In the process, they scratched and chipped our new concrete in several places. When the work was done and the grass mat was put down, I walked around the yard. There were large rocks, wood pieces, and large ditches making it very hard to walk. I complained about this. Once LawnMasters came out to really see the work, they agreed it was bad and said they would redo it. They hired out another company to grade the yard. This company took out all the drains we had put in. They made the yard bigger by digging into a hill, but this made the gradual hill we had very steep-not even walkable. The hill is filled with rock and debris including left over straw mat. LawnMasters took no claim to this hill and refuse to fix it. LawnMasters did come back and replace the drains. The yard still holds water which freezes in the cold. This is the same problem we had when we started. I do not recommend this company for any work. There is a much cheaper company that would do a much better job. read more
