I decided to color my very light gray hair with streaks of purple and blue. Steve was careful to use pastels and foil them into my hair and the result is just perfect! Subtle and gorgeous. The color he used is more of a stain then a dye, so there was no processing, no bleach. Healthy hair with great color. Steve told me to wash in cool water with gentle shampoo. Depending on the person and how the hair is cared for; the color can last from a few days to a couple months. I will be very careful with my gorgeous color! Thank you Steve!

I saw great reviews on her but after doing a very quick, normal haircut (she did not cut the curls individually) she rushed through a wash, quick condition, rinse and style. She seemed very rushed and distracted and had me out of there after about 40 minutes. I asked questions along the way and got quick, short answers. I've learned a LOT more about curly hair from internet research. I will not be back again. The extra star is for the very friendly and courteous receptionist and because the cut seems fine although I just got home so we'll see.

First problem, Sara set my appointment for 3pm but forgot what time she'd told me to come in;…read morethought she'd said 2pm. Text message was clear. 3pm. Second problem, Sara was in a hurry and it showed. She'd made plans to go to the state fair and that was where her focus was. I had really long hair when I walked into that salon, past my waist. I was ready to get some length cut off but wanted to start with cutting off maybe 6 inches. I even showed her how much. She appeared to understand. Then she proceeded to cut at approximately 12" off and because my hair has curl it's just below my shoulders when dry. I was traumatized by her cutting off so much of my hair. And what did she do to make my hair dark? It was a trim appointment not a foil. Afterwards SHE pointed out that it looked uneven in the back. Mam, YOU cut my hair. Why are you pushing me out the door with an uneven cut?? Third problem, I walked in as a blonde and left as a brunette. I have no idea what she put in my hair but my blonde is gone! I was so distraught by the dark color and how much hair she cut off but didn't want to cause a scene in front of the two people sitting in the lobby. So I smiled and made pleasant conversation while I paid my bill when in reality I wanted to scream and cry. In summary, she couldn't remember what time my appointment was, made plans causing her to rush through my appointment, didn't listen to what I asked for, paid no attention when I said my hair has natural curl, and she had no idea how to use a diffuser. I walked out of that salon and my hair looked like a rats nest. I had to go home and restyle it but that didn't change how short it was or how dark it was. In all good conscience I cannot recommend her or the salon.

I'm still very Impressed and love my hair cut and the whole experience! Scott worked with me to get it the right length, etc. totally stress free.... so glad I found him. Let's start with that I loath going to spas and beauticians. There are often terrible smells of carcinogenic chemicals (ammonia, acetone, etc). Add to that they are noisy and crowded. Scott Millers Studio is the opposite of most places. No bad smells, one chair and personal attention. Add to that hair artistry. I came in with long straggly hair.... ithad been 2-3 years since my last hair cut. My hair really needed to be styled and yet it needed to be something I could duplicate, and I needed a new look (no more earth mother braid). Scott got it right away, worked with me and gave me a cut I could manage and that was becoming. No more braid . I am grateful for his patience and artistry. Highly recommended.

But, customer service is lacking. First most of my 3 hour appointment was talking about god and he all but said my gay father is a freak of nature. If I hadn't had half of my hair in foils I would have walked out. This is extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Never talk about religion or politics, especially with a first time client. Didn't want to piss off the guy who was doing my hair. But, my hair looked so good I booked with him again and figured I'd tell him no god talk this time, My second appointment was to get my hair touched up for my daughter's wedding. I was pressed for time especially with guests coming in from out of town. I waited 15 minutes for Gregg. He never showed! When I was leaving the woman who was there asked me if I wanted to call Gregg. I said I thought you had done that. And she said she had talked with Gregg that morning and he would be in for his first appointment, which was me at 1:00. Wouldn't you think that when she saw he was five minutes late she would call him? And then no reaching out to me to apologize or trying to fit me in before the wedding. Radio silence.
