Isnt that the point of annual maintenance? Avoid a failure when you really need it. She had been working with another certified Generac contractor in Marlboro annually and had a maintnence contract - which we now know was not being fulfilled properly. Oil was being changed, but nothing else. The batteryhad never been replaced on a Generac that was installed in 2015. We I found TK Lyden and was happy to speak to Kerri. She immeditely put me at ease. Throughout our conversation and emails, which included a welcome letter and complete pricing, it was obvious that they know their business. Long story short - we had complete Generac service with TK Lyden and couldn't be happier. We chose to install a heat kit, which seems to have helped the over all issue. Generac is back to it's Thursday cycle and we're happy to hear it evey week We terminated our service agreement with out former group and signed on with TK Lyden. We look forward to a long relationship with TK Lyden.

When I called them to come out and fix the problem they wanted to charge me time and a half for the service call even though I had a service contract. Their reasoning was that it was my fault that I didn't prevent snow from getting inside the air filter. They claimed to have sent out a mass email a month ago notifying all their customers of this possible issue, I never viewed it and no follow-up was ever sent. Not happy, now I'm looking for a new service company.

We spoke for a little bit and I liked what I heard. He just serviced my generator. He adjusted the valves, oil and filter change, cleaned the battery terminals that had NEVER been cleaned, replaced the air filter and other things. He took his time and was very thorough. Prior to finding Evan, I had a company out of Templeton that installed the unit do my annual maintenance. Evan said that the corrosion that was on the battery terminals wasn't the result of one year. It hadn't been cleaned/checked since it was installed! I wasn't happy with them and i was looking for someone else. I was fortunate to find Evan. I know who I'll be calling going forward. He did more and charged me less. I'd recommend Evan's Generator Service in a heart beat!!

I contacted Giroux Electric to investigate reported issues with bathroom exhaust fans and light…read morefixtures. Scheduling was easy, and everyone was friendly initially. The diagnostic visit cost $160, and I was told one of the bathroom fans needed to be replaced. I agreed to the replacement, which cost about $850. I assumed that for nearly $1,000 the installation would be complete and leave the area finished. Unfortunately, I was notified that the new fan was not vented outside, and because the replacement fan was a different size and shape than the original, it left a significant opening in the ceiling that required additional patching and repair work on my end. I understand that replacement fans don't always match the size of existing units, but I was surprised that the job was considered complete with such noticeable unfinished work remaining. When I asked the technician about it, the response felt frustrated and dismissive, which further reduced my confidence in the service. The staff was pleasant for the most part, and scheduling was straightforward, but I was not prepared for the extra work and expense required after what I thought would be a complete fan installation. For that reason, I don't think I'll be using Giroux Electric again.
