Since my first purchase - I have become a frequent visitor to Strey Designs studio at Northrup King Building. I worked with Strey on designing a custom bag (picking out my specific leathers/fabric/strap combos) and it was so fun to visit the studio. Through visiting the studio Sarah explained her design and manufacturing process, helped me understand how the various leathers will age, leather care, how to use all of the adaptable straps many of her bags offer and I was able to really witness the immense passion she has for her product. My Strey Designs collection is constantly growing - as I've now purchased 3 backpacks, a wallet and a few other accessories. This is the exact type of jacket that Macy's or Nordstrom's would be selling right now for $100+. Back when they first opened this temporary (?) outlet store I also nabbed a handful of Calvin Klein work/cocktail dresses for the $9 range. Some needed slight alterations, but for $9 you can justify the extra cost. The dress selection has since vanished, but this is still the place to find a handbag, wallet, gloves, leather jackets and a pretty big selection of men's and women's wool coats from Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Guess and other designers. It's hit or miss and come prepared to dig, but you may find some steals.
