I took a before photo and after photo. I spilled Windex on my boots that left an ugly stain. When I brought them in, I was told two weeks and he asked if I wanted anything else done besides taking care of the stain. I asked his recommendations and he pointed the heels (under) were worn down and that he could take care of some of the scratches on the front near the toes. Two weeks would be tomorrow but I figured I'd see if they were ready. The phone number went to voicemail and it gave clear instructions to contact by text for questions and that hours on Google Maps is accurate. I didn't receive a response by text so I decided to head to the store. He was actually putting the finishing touches on my boots at that moment. Brother felt alive again! Old time shoe repair place in the next town. The lady at the counter started digging through some old leather scraps and found a great match - then started sifting through some old parts drawers and came up with three similar "D" rings. UPDATE: Brought a pair of older Sorel boots in that had suffered some leather damage - the found an almost perfect leather scrap, an almost perfect "D-Ring" and made an AFFORDABLE repair in a timely fashion.
