It's quiet, walkable, and has a surprising amount of hotel, shopping, dining and wine tasting options within a just a few blocks. We stayed nearby and were able to walk to this event space from our hotel. The building has a brick exterior and interior with polished concrete floors and natural wood accents. The event space features large indoor and outdoor spaces. And the outdoor space had several seating options, both covered and uncovered with lots of lush landscape and greenery throughout. For this particular event, food vendors were stationed in the outdoor space with covered tents while the wine tasting vendors were stationed inside. Both low and high top tables were setup throughout to allow for a variety of seating and mingling options. The bathrooms are individual stalls with two access points from the interior and exterior which allows for ease of access and flow. I think the layout of the space is great for a variety of functions and I would definitely attend another event at this space. Despite this, they refused to return any portion of our deposit or apply it toward a future event. While I understand contracts exist for a reason, I was shocked at the complete lack of flexibility given how far in advance we canceled -- especially since the venue admitted September is one of their busiest months. To make matters worse, they later booked another event on the same date. That means they not only kept our deposit but also collected full payment from another client -- essentially double dipping on the same date. On top of this, attempts to communicate with Sarah Tynan were very disappointing. After emailing her directly multiple times to appeal for even partial consideration, I was simply ignored. Future clients should be aware: if anything unexpected happens in your life, don't expect compassion, flexibility, or even basic communication. Be absolutely certain before you sign, because once they have your deposit, you will not see it again -- even if they rebook your date and profit twice. The day before my wedding, we were told that a beer was unavailable for them to provide.. the ONE beer the groom wanted most. There was no chance of a keg being provided. Lovely right?? I figured maybe a discount would have been provided or some kind of accommodation.. nope! Then at the wedding, one of the two ciders ran out within the first hour. Which seemed a little difficult to believe considering not many were drinking it, and it had only been maybe 45 minutes of the taphouse being opened. So it seems as though they brought a small remainder of an already opened keg. Again, no additional ciders brought as a backup option. Towards the end of the drink service/wedding, the bartenders made a comment to another vendor employee, "we need to hurry and get out of here because we over served these guests" and packed up and left. For the money we paid.. I am very very disappointed!!

We have been traveling through the area for the last week and this was, by far, our most…read moredisappointing experience. On our way here we visited multiple gardens and flower farms in Salem and the surrounding area that were completely free and FAR superior. They charge $14 per person to visit the garden and in my opinion it's not worth it. The employees we interacted with were unhelpful, unknowledgeable and apathetic but beyond the poor service, the grounds themselves were disappointing. There are dead and dying plants everywhere, shade and seating are scarce and there is very little of interest to see. If you enjoy paths and trees, visit any local park and the sites will be as good. If you love roses, visit Owen Rose Garden or if you like peonys, irises, etc there are multiple farms in the area to visit for free. Unless you love the smell of hot fertilizer and throwing your money away, this is not it. Their "Amazing" water garden consists of a few algae topped ponds. They also claim to be dog friendly but they are as dog friendly as a sidewalk. They have a tram tour that literally stopped in the walkway blocking all the walking guests from proceeding while robotically reading a speech and leaving everyone to stand there in the sun until they were done. This whole experience was just so unenjoyable. I rarely leave bad reviews and I Yelp to help others avoid my mistakes so if you are reading this, please don't waste your time or money here. There are so many other great options. Oh, and to the "Business Manager" who obligatorily responds all the unflattering reviews in an effort to appear as though customer service is important, but is ultimately condescending, it's not helping your cause, so feel free to spare us all.

Even though the plants' condition in March leaves a lot to be desired, as not very much is coming into season yet, there was plenty to take in. The variety of landscaping/hardscaping is impressive, the views incredible, the plant collection inspiring (even my very non-aggie partner took notes on what we could possibly incorporate into our own yard). It's obvious that plenty of care and planning went into the garden spaces. Highlights for me included the conifer forest and the wetlands areas. The Lewis and Clark pathway with its stonehenge-like pillars was neat too. Each section has its own hidden treasures and spaces for reflection. Would love to come back in spring or summer to see what's changed.

We dropped by here today and tasted some wine…read more Summer was on staff there and she was able to give us the story of the winery's origin. Which was very interesting but I'll let her tell you about it when you visit. On my way up there I discovered there was a Groupon for $20 you could get a tasting of eight wines for two people. So, I purchased that which was a great deal. It turns out it's a misprint there is actually only six wines but still a great deal. This was a weekday visit and they had some prepackaged food for purchase and also soft drinks. We purchased a couple meat and cheese trays and went outside to enjoy the wine. It was nice outside finally under 80 and air quality not terrible for a pleasant change. They have a great many tables and chairs and umbrellas outdoors making it a nice stop for spring and summer. The wine club sounded intriguing and I'll definitely ponder that as everything tasted great. I'll definitely be back to try it again.

Attended the 25th Anniversary of the Frank Lloyd Wright "Gordon House" at its current location. It…read morewas built in 1963, (a few years after Frank Lloyd Wright's death) for Conrad and Evelyn Gordon of Wilsonville, OR. The House was saved from being torn down in 2001 by being deconstructed. Then moved 40 miles over to Silverton. We were able to tour the yard, and the 1st and second floors. Each space was unique with angular wood work, colored concrete and light pouring in through wide panes of glass. All typical of FLW architecture, which he referred to as "Usonian". Simple, beautiful and functional. There were cupcakes, coloring activities and a pianist along with specialists answering questions throughout the home. My favorite part was the red kitchen and skylight. Afterwards we went over to the Oregon Garden right next door. It was two great properties to explore on a beautiful day. Highly recommend both!
