Our first day in Sydney- we are Starving! Since we saw a couple of options on the way to our hotel we decide to walk up Blues Point Rd. Despite the urge to go for a familiar burger, we decide to go to Lavana based on their menus variety.
One friend ordered the lobster ravioli. Another friend ordered...i can't remember, BUT, I ordered the lamb ribs. It was going to be tapas..since we weren't too sure about how it all would taste. Both of their dishes were good. The raviolis were a tad light on the lobster...I'd give them a 4 out of ten. My lamb ribs were super fatty, no meat at all. I almost cried. We told our nice waitress and she took it off the bill. I opted not to order anything else..and opted to walk to the next restaurant and just get a burger.
A couple of days later,we went back for breakfast. SCORE!! Their brioche French toast is AMAZING!! AMAZING. FANTASTICALLY AMAZING!!! Beautifully plated, the bananas, strawberries and blueberries were perfectly placed, the sauce was just theright amount of sweetness, and the caramel cream- Oh My Gawd! I was not up for sharing this morning!
My friends had the omelette plate and a Benedict plate. They were ok with their choices, but the Benedict plate only had a few measly slices of sausage. It could of had more. But again- the French toast! Yum.dilly.o.cious!
We meet the manager who was super sweet, she came and checked on us and chatted for a bit.
So glad we gave it another try! Check them out! read more
