My PCP is Dr. Margaret Song. She has been my PCP for ~15 years. If you're looking for a doctor that will quickly prescribe medications for anything, she is not for you. Every time I come to her with an illness or problem, she takes her time diagnosing the problem and offers remedies that you can do at home for simple issues. However, if you're absolutely sick, she will delve into things and identify what prescription would really work for you. I have also been to RMC Urgent Care and indeed they operate the place like an ER. I saw Dr. Frickman and he did not make me feel like any other urgent care center I've been to. He took his time diagnosing me, getting radiology and bloodwork labs completed to diagnose me. Overall, the Urgent Care takes its time diagnosing you. They might take a while to get to you, but that is understandable considering they are providing you with thorough care. Ever since they went from physician-owned to privately owned, you can see many cracks coming down the line with changes in an effort from United Health Services (UHS) to save money. They got rid of all individual receptionists at each doctor's window that was the standard practice for decades. They now have a central check-in kiosk, that part is fine. The part that has failed catastrophically is calling to get an appointment. They decided to move to a call-center approach to capture all calls in one place. This is not working, nor has it been working for a while. Being on hold for +25 minutes each time is simply unacceptable.

This place always has issues with their phone system for years now or never wants to pick up the…read morephone. If you ever need to speak with them YOU MUST come in person to have the privilege of communication to make appts or ask questions. Leaving a message on their system goes into a black hole that gets no response. The quality of care is not something I would consider safe, many suggestions or advice for care end in hospitalization. It would be nice if they could improve with communication. The only way you can reach a live person right away is after 5pm because that rings directly to an answering service who will NOT reach out to anyone in the office (office closes at 5pm). The best they can do is an after care nurse after a long delay. You would actually have better luck reaching Tesla over the phone than you would at this place. Noticed the Business owner response below and I called 800-403-4160. Tried to navigate the IVR and finally got to a live person. Why are doctors not coming back until 2pm or after . That's insane . I will be changing my provider after this last visit. The doctors office seemed basically empty but 4 hours wait every time . You don't even hear any motion in the back for it to be that long of a wait . I would not come here to get any help.and this is worst than my last doctor that was MAX 3 hour wait and I though that was a long wait . But 4+ hours is disrespectful to patients time especially when it's super quiet in the back and can't even see one doctor walking around. When I arrived at 10 am I was told I won't be seen until 1pm after lunch I come back around 1pm I'm told now 2pm which is well over the 5th hour legally to take a lunch break in the state of California. I was pregnant, she had been my OBGYN for years prior- maybe because I was on state insurance she treated me less than? I'm honestly not sure. I went in for a 9 week appointment- it was my first visit while pregnant. I waited for hours, I finally got into a room and saw her for a total of 7 minutes. She saw there was no fetus in the womb... it was blank in the ultrasound. I advised of certain symptoms I was experiencing that I had been told were common with those experiencing Ectopic Pregnancy. She didn't do further scanning and instead referred me for bloodwork to test HCG levels. I reiterated my concern for ectopic. And she brushed me off, she literally "shushed" me. I went immediately for the bloodwork. After a week and a half of not hearing from her regarding results and calling with no response. I was rushed to the emergency room due to severe internal bleeding and emergency surgery due to ectopic pregnancy. I was on the verge of actual death. After multiple blood transfusions and the removal of one of my tubes, I survived. Because of her negligence and lack of care or due diligence I lost part of myself. I have not been able to become successfully pregnant since this experience. I also paid to get my medical records and I specifically asked for the records of the pregnancy and the ultrasound from my appointment when I came in and THEY REFUSED TO INCLUDE THEM. THEY SAID ID NEED A LAWYER TO GET THEM BECAUSE "THEY HAD NO RECORD" ID EVER BEEN IN FOR A PREGNANCY Disgusting. I don't recommend her to anyone. She should lose her practice and her license. Part of me wishes I died so lawyers would take my case and serve her with justice.
