Absolutely disgusting care. I have attempted to sue and filed a complaint with the medical board for this woman's negligence to no avail. I was pregnant, she had been my OBGYN for years prior- maybe because I was on state insurance she treated me less than? I'm honestly not sure. I went in for a 9 week appointment- it was my first visit while pregnant. I waited for hours, I finally got into a room and saw her for a total of 7 minutes. She saw there was no fetus in the womb... it was blank in the ultrasound. I advised of certain symptoms I was experiencing that I had been told were common with those experiencing Ectopic Pregnancy. She didn't do further scanning and instead referred me for bloodwork to test HCG levels. I reiterated my concern for ectopic. And she brushed me off, she literally "shushed" me. I went immediately for the bloodwork. After a week and a half of not hearing from her regarding results and calling with no response. I was rushed to the emergency room due to severe internal bleeding and emergency surgery due to ectopic pregnancy. I was on the verge of actual death. After multiple blood transfusions and the removal of one of my tubes, I survived. Because of her negligence and lack of care or due diligence I lost part of myself. I have not been able to become successfully pregnant since this experience. I also paid to get my medical records and I specifically asked for the records of the pregnancy and the ultrasound from my appointment when I came in and THEY REFUSED TO INCLUDE THEM. THEY SAID ID NEED A LAWYER TO GET THEM BECAUSE "THEY HAD NO RECORD" ID EVER BEEN IN FOR A PREGNANCY Disgusting. I don't recommend her to anyone. She should lose her practice and her license. Just found out i've had anemia throughout my whole pregnancy and she never told me anything or prescribed me anything. Every appointment she told me everything was good and i'm now finding out at 31 weeks pregnant (my first pregnancy) that my babys 20 week anatomy scan wasn't even clear on such critical details like my baby's heart! As well as intimate care i was having bad symptoms for weeks and she said to just "drink water" My new dr now has prescribed me to 4 different medications to take care of Dr Mba's negligence. read more

If I can give zero stars to this doctor I would . I just had a baby 2 months ago . I am struggling with postpartum depression; have been since the baby was born . I told her about it and she said it must be baby blues she offered to provide me with depression pills but because I have never took depression pills I asked to hold off thinking these "baby blues" were going to go away she scheduled me in 10 days and I was still feeling the same way . It was mentioned to her . It was also written in the postpartum document that we sign at 6 weeks . She did not care. I asked for an extension on my disability since I'm not ok and she said she wasn't able to provide an extension that I would need to go see a mental health specialist. I went to go see a mental health specialist advised how I was feeling and she mentioned that the PROVIDER (HELENA MBA) would need to do the extension because she is my PCP & My OBGYN . I went ahead and let her know what my Mental health specialist told me and Dr. MBA said she wouldn't do it because she doesn't think postpartum depression exists because she never got it with her 2 pregnancy. She said if I was feeling depressed that I'm able to take my baby bonding. WHAT!? When you have depression how are you able to BOND with your baby. Clearly this doctor doesn't care about her patients but only her pay checks . Nonetheless I hope her daughter doesn't ever have postpartum depression because Karma will get her for treating her patients a certain way. Besides that she makes you wait 1hr or more to be seen. Her employees and her need customer service classes . She hangs up the phone on you when she gets upset and you tell her truths. If I could rate no stars I would. I waited more than two hours past my appointment to be seen. I could hear her screaming at her staff from the waiting room. I came in needing a new primary care physician because of insurance changes. I wanted a primary that would also be my OB and also help me navigate multiple health issues that have been ongoing for years. The primary reason for my visit was a lump on my foot causing nerve pain and numbness in addition to joint issues. When I finally got to see the dr she asked me zero questions about family or previous medical history and told me it was impossible for me to have bone density issues due to weight. I explained an extensive family history of bone, joint, and autoimmune issues and that my weight was due to increasingly worsening mobility issues and in particular the lump that was preventing me from walking without pain. She insisted I just needed to lose weight but ordered labs and X-rays anyway. She never discussed with me what labs she was ordering, next steps, or what we could do regarding the lump. I left feeling like this doctor took one look at me and decided I wasn't important enough or deserving of being heard. There were other issues and past medical history that is extremely important and that I wanted to discuss, but the doctor was ready to move on to the next patient. It took almost a month to get my lab results back. I called multiple times the last couple weeks, leaving messages and requesting a call back. THIS OFFICE WILL NEVER RETURN YOUR PHONE CALL. Even if you manage to speak with someone, they do not call you back even if they say they will. You can also never directly speak with the doctor. Bottom line, this is a doctor that has over extended herself and her patients to the point that the notes she took during my exam were wayyyyy inaccurate (she said I stated my foot was "hit with a car," had paternal medical history listed as maternal history, and failed to note the primary reason for the visit. It has caused so many delays in getting proper treatment. read more

Dr Mba was recommended to me by a younger mother from a mommy's group that I am a member of. I should have listened when a few of the more seasoned mothers warned me that she does not listen to her patients. I have been experiencing severe incontinence and reached out to her office a couple of times about it. The first time I was told it was normal. The second time I was given an appointment in October, the 3rd time I pushed for a sooner appointment because it was becoming a problem. I was told by Dr Mba to use my bonding time to continue to recover. I called EDD to ask about bonding time, as I am new to all of this and the rep was kind enough to inform me that bonding time is not for recovery and I should talk to my care provider about extending my medical leave as this sounded medical. I reached back out to Dr Mba and came to speak with her and she did not even want to talk about it. She cut me off stating she was not extending anything for anyone because she had received 2 letters from EDD in the past so she does not extend for anyone. I have never felt so diminished by my own care provider. I am starting to feel super self conscious about this incontinence issue and to add insult to injury, the urologist that she referred me out to cannot see me until November 6, and Dr Mba could care less.i asked for my file so i could seek treatment elsewhere and made it a poiu t to let me know that she has 14 days by law to get it to me so she will within 14 days, prolonging my ability to seek care by another physician, which seems almost unethical and morally corrupt. I just basically have to urinate on myself until November. If you are a new expecting mom, I urge you to keep looking for a care provider, as Dr Mba does not care. I am trying to care for a 1 month old all while dealing with a severe incontinence issue and a care provider that does not care at all. Don't be like me. read more

I initially met Dr. Mba Helena doing a medical marketing run promoting an orthopedic client to her. I have visited at least 120-140 clinics in Inland Empire for work purposes & in this process I have met a significant amount of primary care physicians, however, Dr. Mba Helena really made an impression on me during one of these visits. She asked the right questions to see if this ortho would be a good fit for her patients! I was so impressed that she asked so many questions. At that moment, I knew I wanted HER to be my doctor. I made the switch with my insurance and made it happen. I was seen by her today & WOW what an experience! Although I waited an hour & a half to be seen, it was worth the wait. Waited 6 months for an appointment. No, they don't keep a list to call people when they have a cancellation. They said they she is behind because of Covid. Um, what? Is this gynecologist taking shifts in the Covid ward? Are people having babies at some new high rate due to Covid? Today they called me to reschedule, a month out. This is the worst place I have been to. You call to make an appointment, the closest one they have is at least a month a way. Okay, you wait the month, arrive EARLY to your appointment and wait an hour (not counting the 20 minutes earlier you arrived) just to be seen for the basics. Then you wait another hour to be taken to the room. They charge an extra $20 to fill out forms like a HEALH SCREENING that most jobs are mandated to have filled out; even if your insurance covers your visit and you have no copay. At least after the long wait you would be able to have a doctor who listens to you, takes extra care to make sure they don't miss anything, listens to your concerns and works with you to put you at ease or at least follows through with sending a referral to get more blood testing done.... I have not actually seen Dr. Mba. This review is based on the fact that I picked her as my PCP, but getting a new patient appointment was nearly impossible. I called in January and the next new patient appointment they had wasn't until late February. Okay, I made the appointment--I didn't have any pressing need to see a doctor. Then I needed to reschedule the February appointment. I left a message with the office to that effect and no one returned my call. I called the office, again, to reschedule and the next available new patient appt wasn't until JUNE (it's currently the end of February). On top of that, I needed a physical done for a new job and they wouldn't see me to complete the physical until the new patient appointment was done. The women I spoke with were polite, so I have no qualms there. But I hardly think the office is accepting new patients if you can't see someone within a couple of weeks. I called my insurance and found another doctor who can see me in a more timely fashion. read more

I've got to give doctor helena one star for the simple face I can't rate her at no stars. Doctor helena was my girlfriends firs ob and when it came to her first prenatal appointment it was rushed due to the fact that helena wanted to close early. My girlfriend was told multiple time let's hurry up and get this over with each time she was seen, we had a miscarriage under her supervision and was told Just pray to god, long story short we miscarried in January of 2021. My girlfriend was seen again this July and doctor helena once again rushed her visit and told my girlfriend she couldn't see the baby so my girlfriend asked her to look just a little more and she said ok and then found a baby after doing a Transvaginal. The next day my girlfriend woke up with sharp pains in her stomach and vagina area and was bleeding heavily so we went to the hospital where they told her that they found "Twins" and that they both seemed healthy. We followed up with helena and this time I was able to go in with my girlfriend I was told to wait outside the office where 3 other men were sitting on the floor so I helped myself to a seat, I was called to the back 30 minutes after arriving to then sit in a room with my girlfriend. Dr. Helena came in not once did she sanitize her hands or use gloves She grabbed a napkin and put it under my girlfriend's hands and started rubbing Jelly on her so she could start the ultrasound after she did that she spent no longer than 3 minutes searching for a baby she found one baby and stopped looked AT ALL she refused to search any more and told us " to her knowledge there is still only one baby and if there was another baby it might have been absorbed" she She's been rushed out of the room into another room in the Middle of us talking and put another woman in the same room we were in before even sanitizing. After that she sat us in a room for about 40 minutes and I had to leave the room and tell them we have things to do and we can't sit in there all day they then told us oh we've already mad your appointment and handed us a paper pretty much forgot about us in the room the stashed us in, Dr. Helena referred us to a specialist for twins she called a guru who's reviews were worse than hers reviews like if you want to see your babies live and your life not to be ruined don't go to him and things like I miscarried at 35 weeks with this doctor. Long story short don't go to this OB/GYN her equipment is just as bad as her work ethic. read more

Bittersweet appointment with her. I waited for over an hr first if all then she came in making assumptions about me cause i just wanted to see if she could sign a note for court and she had this attitude right when she came in like she knew me. I understand that my condition is not her expertise but she didnt have to have that attitude that she knew me. Another thing in that I noticed was that she didnt want to write a note because she didnt know me as a patient but she was willing to consider blood pressure meds cause I had high blood pressure and I normally dont. I'm a nurse and with everything work has been more stressful which I told her. I felt that she judged me right away like they always do yet you consider meds for a completely new patient you know nothing about. She was okay. She did refer me to the right specialist and checked me out but overall shes not the right primary for me. If she had just said okay what's going on and and let me talk instead of walking in saying why dont you wanna go to court and I'm not writing it cause that's not a medical reason then I would have had a better experience. I paid money out of pocket for that visit and it was a waste to me. If you are young and need her to sign anything dont bother going and asking cause she is judgemental. I looked at reviews before calling for an appt. 2 hour long waits in the lobby after appt. time is an issue that hasn't been addressed. I called anyway for an appt. I can see what they mean, I spent over 40 minutes just trying to get the appt. First they told me it was a two month wait, then they kept placing me on hold to help other patients and phone calls. I ended up hanging up without one just because I'm at work trying to do this and they have the same hours I do, so I cannot call during my lunch hour either. She seems very wanted, too bad they don't know how to control the flow of patients. However, the appt. maker was very friendly over the phone. She gets the one star I gave. read more

I switched over to Doctor Mba for my pregnancy but, unfortunately, my 8-week pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I meet Doctor MBA a few days after the miscarriage took place. The office was very clean and the wait time wasn't too bad. When i meet Doctor MBA in person she was professional and offered a lot of statistics. Although she was very informative on the rates of miscarriage, she didn't take the time to address the questions and concerns that I had. I felt that she came in with a practiced speech and assumed that she knew what I was going to ask and treated my situation as if it was the same as everyone's. I left feeling that she just went through the motions with me instead of hearing me or catering my care to my medical background and needs. I had to bother the office for information, and I had to request lab work and lab work results. Calling and bugging was not always easy because more than half of the time they didn't pick up the phone or call me back. I had complications for almost 8 weeks after my miscarriage and I tried to explain my situation to the ladies on the phone but I wasn't given any follow-up visits or check-ups. I was told to just go to the hospital if I felt something was off. They at least allowed me to get labwork when I called and bugged them about it. I'm sure that Doctor MBA and her staff are a great medical team. I've heard that she was a great doctor from other doctors, but I felt her office did the minimum and sort of overlooked and blew me off when I really needed someone to help me and guide me through a major health episode. read more

Let me start off with saying Rosa, the referral coordinator, is so great! Along with Dr.Mba, she'll hear you out and gives you her most honest advice for your care. I chose her as my PCP because I've always felt more comfortable having a female provider and she didn't fail to give me the care I needed. Not to mention she's a OB/GYN so you'll be able to get your women testing done in office during a routine exam. The wait in the lobby is reasonable I'd say for being extensive about your medical history and to ensure they have your proper information. I don't really have issues with getting a hold of someone when I call and always have an answer for the questions I ask, if they don't, then they get back to me with reasonable time. Definitely planning on keeping her as my PCP as long as I can. read more

I was induced to have my twins and my twins were in position to deliver vaginally but Dr. Helena said she wanted to do c-section because she had never delivered twins vaginally and she wasnt comftrouble doing it! I have been coming to see Dr. Mba for the past 4 years. She specializes in OB/GYN and remembers all her patients no matter how often they come to see her. This is a small women's clinic with a small waiting room that was recently redecorated with more comfortable chairs. The wait is long to get an appointment because Dr. Mba sees her patients personally and will give them as much time as they need. There are times when she has had to rush out to an emergency at the hospital, which pushes her appointments even further behind. She does have a large clientele so this clinic is not for those who are constantly in a hurry. One can expect at least an hour wait. I usually come prepared to wait and my patience is always worth it. She is a one-of-a-kind doctor that I have been searching for all my life. I just recently selected Dr. Mba as my primary care physician and I have to say I am glad I did. She is very sweet and pleasant to be around. I loved how easy it was to talk to her and how she truly took time for patient education, she didn't just assume I knew. I didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable at all! She also took the time to personally E-prescribe my medication refills and showed me the confirmation on her laptop even though I never asked her to. Personally, I really appreciated this, because every doctor I have worked for just has their staff take care of e-scripts. Great doctor but very rude staff. Dr. Mba is over booked so she's forced to rush through each appointment. The office is always running an hour or more behind and the front office staff is extremely rude. It's hard to get anyone on the phone and when you do you're placed on hold for 10+ minutes. I made an appointment a month in advanced. I went for my appointment, and the doctor Helena had to rush to the hospital. I don't mind, I would LOVE her doing the same for me for my pregnancy... Therefore, I have nothing negative to say about doctor Helena. My problem was the girl who sent me to the back room to wait for the doctor. She kept rushing me, very rude, and when it was time to reschedule she would not even make an effort to work with my schedule. I waited a whole month for this appointment. Im supposed to be 10 weeks pregnant, I have not got any test done, nothing to at least put me at ease that everything is okay. I would have loved to return to see the doctor, but her assistant, or whatever she was, was just very rude. I was so upset and angry my fiancee said my eyes were twitching. I wil not be returning due to her staff. These are people you will be with for a 9 month journey, and I was not made to feel comfortable or even welcome. I recently had a procedure and the whole time she was discussing with her asst about another patient who was driving her crazy . Not once did she ask how was I doing. She does not care about your well being. She rushes you out of there leaving you with unanswered questions, just so she can get to her next patient. She took an oath as a doctor to treat and help people. She is fooling you. She discussed my condition in the waiting room. I was humilated by her manners. I will not ever go back their again. When making the appt. originally they were short with me on the phone. And I couldn't get an appt. for about 30 days even though IEHP's policy is within 3 days. I showed up to the office 3 mins. early. I'm not kidding, I waited in the waiting room over 2 hrs. Then I was placed in a room, told to undress for a pap. The room was out-of-control freezing. So I'm there mostly naked in a freezing room for 45 mins until the Dr. finally came in (which was like a form of torture)! From the time I walked in, to the time I got to my car I spent 4 HOURS there. It consumed my whole day, she only took care of some of the reasons I was there, because they "didn't have time" even though I waited 3 hrs. to see her. She was relatively nice, but it doesn't make up for spending an abundance of time at a place that should be on time. I've been in and out of ER faster, it was VERY irritating, and frankly wrong for someone like myself who is on multiple medications for depression and anxiety. It was sooo hard for me to endure and I had to lay down at home after the Dr. visit and cry. I felt so unimportant and frustrated. I asked a nurse while there if it was normal to wait this long here, and she said yes. That's when I immediately knew I would never be back there. I literally have no time for that or the patience to endure that again. It was really awful. My recommendation: Do not be a victim of this same experience.
