The only reason they get 3 stars is because of Dr.Carlos Cardenas. I had my son in april of 2025 and before january i was seeing PA sahily. She was rude, unprofessional and judged my weight every time i went ( i wasnt gaining a lot of weight) i was put on high risk in january and switch to Dr.cardenas. He made me feel better about my situation, told me to eat and not worry about my weight until he says its an issue. I had a c section by Dr. Rey and follow ups through him which he handled things professionally and even sent me home with extra pain relief medicine. Wait times are insane ,waited 1 hour and half for an urine test and a 5 minutes appointment . The doctor just read your chart back to you and do an ultrasound on a old machine that never has paper or gets jammed and image is blurry. I only go there because of my insurance but if I could I will totally choose a different doctor/group . I have been a patient of Dr. Rey for two pregnancies now. He has been my OBGYN for both, so attentive with both of my high risk pregnancies. Any concern or question I have had he has been able to answer and to reassure me. I have put my health and my babies health in his practices hand and I couldn't be more happier. If I could give this clinic 0 stars I would due to the incompetence of the PA Mayra Silhy. I came to this clinic at 5 weeks pregnant (at the time I believed I was 8+ weeks pregnant.) It was my first pregnancy and I was desperate to find a clinic that had appointments available as I was extremely anxious as every first time mother is to make sure everything was okay and I unfortunately ended up here. She told me that she could not find my baby only a yolk sac and then proceeded to make me do bloodwork and scheduled me out for every week to make sure my baby was growing. My very last appointment was on January 25th when she told me that my baby was growing, however there was no heartbeat yet due to me being too early on in my pregnancy BUT confirmed that everything looked good in the ultrasound and scheduled me out for the following week on February 1st and told me we should be able to hear the heart beat and give me my due date. THAT SAME DAY of the 25th AFTER my appointment where she told me everything looked good I started bleeding and rushed to the emergency room where they told me they found a subchronic hematoma and told me that my baby DID have a heart beat and I was 7 weeks and 3 days along. They were able to give me my due date and put me on bed rest. Not only was she not able to give me an accurate timeline for my pregnancy she DID NOT find a heartbeat when my baby did have one and she did not see the hematoma !!!! The ER doctor explained that it's very unlikely that it would've formed after my appointment and he doesn't understand how she did not see it or find a heartbeat since the heartbeat can by found as soon as 5-6 weeks and my baby's heartbeat was strong. I unfortunately did end up miscarrying shortly after and it took me multiple days to actually get a hold of anyone to cancel my appointment. I wish I would've never came to this clinic as I spent my entire pregnancy crying, worrying, doing bloodwork and waiting for the next appointment to hopefully have good news. I also want to add that the bathroom we use to leave a urine sample was always disgusting. It did not seem like they kept up maintenance at all and the front desk staff in my experience was not friendly. PLEASE AVOID THIS CHAIN OF CLINICS!! read more

6 month update* i reallly wanted to like this place so much, but after leaving the magnolia office today in tears i wanted to share an updated version of my experience so far.. last month my appointment was made for a Tuesday 10am, im trying to check in and the lady cant find me, well come to find out apparently the day my appointment got made the system went down ? They already dont allow kids to come with you so parents move stuff around to make sure they come alone, so getting there and their like Yeah we made other peoples appointments on top of what was supposed to be your appointment day and didnt try contacting the people to try to reschedule again, nice... This time today, my appointment is for 9:35am , always arrive the 15 minutes early for courtesy. All goes well, get checked in. Do the weigh in then got seated to the next waiting room, it is now 10:30am and the receptionist calls me to the side to let me know the dr had an on call some time ago and if i could come back later.... i absolutely can not, i make my appointments early due to working on night shift, but why make me wait an hr long to tell me the dr left!!!! Ive only ever seen the delievery dr Once anyways! All other appointments i met with Dr Sihly? Youre telling me i couldnt see some other random dr there for the 2 minutes they see us anyways? They rescheduled me for tomorrow, but tears just fall immediately from my face in frustration once again from this place. Unfortunately while waiting for my insurance to go through, I had to come to this clinic. The ONLY good experience I had was my first few months with P.A Candace Valenzuela. Thank god I had her most of the time I had to attend this clinic. She was way too good for the place, which is why I'm sure she is no longer there. When I had to reschedule with a new doctor, Dr.Vada, is when it really went downhill. The difference between the two was astronomical. Valenzuela was extremely attentive, understanding, and always asked as soon as the appointment began if there were any concerns, cramping, changes in mental state or anything of the sort. She cared about the mother's health as much as the baby's. This was not at all the case with Vada. Vada came in, told me she read my chart, and began with the ultrasound. This ultrasound lasted all of 45second to about 1 minute. I know this because the person who came with me recorded the whole ultrasound. She did not tell me what she saw, she did not speak a word. After I sat up, she said she will see me in 3 weeks. To which I told her I have an RH- blood type and was due for my shot of rhogam before then because of how far along I was. Interesting I had to bring up an extremely important injection I need for my babies safety and LIFE, after she said she read my chart. She said it doesn't matter if it's administered a couple weeks after,which is opposite that I've been told by anyone prior. All the while she had a terrible attitude as if I was annoying her to ask questions, it's obvious the patients are just a name and allotted appointment time. I am having my first pregnancy and came here. They let me leave with blood pressure of 171/125. And didn't tell me to go to the emergency room, they said it's normal for high blood pressure with twins, told me to take Aspirin everyday but did not prescribe anything. I ended up in the emergency room three days later because I was very tired my stomach was hurting and had a headache. I got to the emergency room my BP was 175/125. The emergency room got my BP lowered and normal. They said I should've been told to go to the emergency room for 171 blood pressure for having twins it's a Risk of preeclampsia. And I was given wrong information from this clinic. The magnolia clinic doctor said I should lose weight because if I gain more I cannot have a c-section which was also wrong information. And they said to lose weight but I should also eat more for since I'm having twins? All information was given by the doctor. The young girl checking me in didn't know how to fill out my paperwork, another girl had to show her how to do it. I had the biggest scare because of this place. Also the dr said I was going to have lab work done that day and I don't need to fast and wait until he lobby- in the lobby the girls said I was done and had to go schedule my own blood test at an outside facility and I had to fast? They sent me home with a genetics testing kit (which no I know or other doctors have ever heard of) turns out it's $4,000 to send it in for results. This was the most mislead informational visit I've ever had at a doctors office. My first pregnancy - I will never return here again. read more

I used Magnolia for my prenatal care for my son 5 years ago. All the generic stuff, the doctors gave me good care, caught a thyroid problem that started during my pregnancy, wait time was okay. The reason I thought to pop on here tonight was the nursing staff. They were the only ones that have ever asked me about the birthmark on my arm. It definitely looks like the mark that could be left in a domestic abuse situation. If a man grabbed you by the arm it would leave a circular bruise right around there by his thumb.... just a birthmark, but I appreciate a health care staff that's aware and looking for signs of abuse read more

Don't waste your time here. Not only are the front desk staff incredibly rude, they will conduct a screening questionnaire that will include questions about your mental health. Don't bother mentioning if you've ever struggled with any sort of mental health related diagnosis because you will be deemed a "high risk pregnancy" and they will refuse to see you. It's crazy to think that 1 in 4 people struggle with mental health diagnoses such as anxiety and depression and this office will discriminate against you based on those. So please, steer clear of this office. You can see it in the other reviews that this office is extremely unprofessional with wait times and the front desk attitude. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I wish I had read the reviews on this place before getting referred here. I had my first prenatal appt with Mayra around 10 weeks into my pregnancy. I was a little upset because I was told my husband and kids were not allowed back with me and had to wear a mask, but other patients were bringing their children and husbands into the back with them and half the people weren't even wearing masks. My husband has to take off work to watch our kids for these appts so it was very frustrating. The wait time was ridiculous. Most of the staff were nice to me during my first visit. I was told I was high risk due to my previous pregnancy and preeclampsia history. Fast forward a few weeks, I get a call from the office telling me they couldn't take my insurance because molina was my secondary and Kaiser was my primary. Even though I had cancelled my Kaiser insurance over a year ago. So they sent me a bill for my previous appt and expected me to pay out of pocket for my next one. Which I could not afford. I got the situation with my insurance handled 3 weeks later after having to call them daily to get the situation fixed. As soon as it was updated I called the office to schedule another appt. I finally had that appt today. I was there for 2 hours just for them to tell me they are terminating me as a patient and can no longer help with my prenatal care because I missed too many appts. I've never heard of a patient being terminated for missing one appt. It was 10 weeks of not being seen because they had scheduled my appt around my 18 week check up and didn't tell me my insurance was having issues until about a week before my appt. I cried to the manager and my doctor Mayra. It was not my fault. My insurance had even called their office letting them know about the ordeal. They told me they could do nothing for me except help me find other care after I had explained to them how long it takes to make an appt with my primary dr to get another referral to somewhere else. I am 21 weeks pregnant and am being forced to find other care. Never have I been treated so poorly or had people be so unsympathetic. After reading reviews I see they don't like handling high risk patients. Even though so far my whole pregnancy has been normal. I hate to leave bad reviews but I really felt like other moms needed to be warned away from this place. They don't care for you here. You're just another name on a chart. read more

I really wanted to like this clinic after seeing the reviews but they are so unprofessional and I felt stressed out. First it took them 2 months just to fill out forms for my work leave due to me having hyperemesis gravidarum during my 1st trimester of my pregnancy. I had told them so many times of when the due date was to turn in the forms as my work gave them a month and a half and they would tell me they'll have it done by this date then postpone it to another date and they still went passed the due date. Then also my insurance had expired on me so I had to pay out of pocket for a while I situated with that. I had missed 1 appointment just because it was getting too expensive to be paying out of pocket. Charging $350 per appointment. Once it was active again they proceed to tell me that it was showing inactive when I had called my insurance two times and they told me it was active. Eventually it showed it was active on their system and told me they couldn't schedule me an appointment because they have to ask the doctor approval on seeing me again.
