LOVED my CST session!!! I've been looking for a Cranial Sacral Therapy practitioner for a while and hadn't found any on our beautiful Truckee area until I found Lauri Glenn. So glad I found her and this work. CST is AMAZING for nervous system care. And giving attention to our nervous systems is amazing for just about everything else!! The session was SO GENTLE, and Lauri creates a very safe comforting space with her very demeanor and her lovely explanations as she does what she does. I wished I had gone for a full 90-minute session to soak up more of the relaxation. I did have the infra-oral points worked on, which was the only part that was any bit uncomfortable. Not painful, just an unfamiliar feeling having points in your mouth worked on (Lauri wears gloves for this portion!). However THE BENEFIT was and still is amazing. I'm a jaw clencher and a tooth grinder, and having Lauri work on releasing my chronic jaw tightness from inside the mouth while simultaneously integrating the jaw into its new movement capabilities was so cool. My jaw felt so much more spacious - sounds weird but try it! You'll totally understand what I'm saying! Since then I've woken up from sleep or meditating (napping? ) with my jaw open and completely relaxed - but not due to congested sinuses or needed mouth breathing. In fact my whole head and sinus area felt super clear after the treatment. Highly recommend Lauri. In late 2017 I did an intro to yoga with Lauri. Interested in new ways to calm my crazy life with 4 boys and a husband whom is always working away. I loved the course and was amazed at how much energy was needed in basic poses... also learnt a lot about my body - what it was capable of and what it was not. Highly recommend Intro to Yoga at the Rec Center, Truckee. Lauri is a great teacher, calm and approachable. After the course was finished I was not confident enough to enroll in a "mainstream" yoga class and reached out to Lauri about doing a few mindful meditation sessions and poses one to one.
