She was warm and welcoming, helping me to gather all of the needed props for her sequence. I was lucky to be the only student in the class, as it meant I received hands-on assists (she asked first if I welcomed them) and additional attention. Jacqueline offer enough guidance without being overbearing, and she offered additional practice options including mudras, which was a nice touch. Her supportive and nurturing demeanor were well suited to the yin style of practice and I left feeling very restored. The studio itself has an eclectic appeal, with practice rooms on multiple floors of a building shared with other businesses. The lobby area was on the third floor and required following signs in the building to locate where to go. There appeared to be two practice rooms and a room for massage, from what I could see. The studio is fairly small and definitely has that independent/community-based vibe, which is nice. The biggest challenge is the location, which is not the easiest to find on the 6th Avenue frontage road. For those willing to seek this place out, they offer affordable classes in a laid back environment and it's definitely worth visiting.

I have been loving the 11:30 class time because not a lot of people go, so I am usually in a 6-person group for sculpt! So far, the instructors I have taken have been stellar. The studio is also kept really cleaned, and they maintain it well. For instance, the water fountain filter needed to be changed, and they changed it within minutes of the filter color light changing. All in all, I am really pleased so far, and I look forward to working out here more!

The experience with the classes themselves has also been great. There is a diverse mix of class options and times, whether you want early morning, midday, or late after work. The instructors are all knowledgeable and friendly. Update: the teachers may be going on strike in Feb for better pay and better cleaning, both of which I support. Don't cross the picket line if it happens. The request is for deep cleans to happen quarterly and it's insane to me that isn't already happening. That does make me a little concerned. This is a national strike, not specific to Tennyson.

Iyengar yoga focuses on just this, and I have learned so much from Leslie, Diane and Mandy. Initially, I used lots of supports, but as I've gained strength, flexibility, and body memory, I can do many poses with little to no support. The teachers at Blue Spruce are also great at working with folks who, like me, get sports injuries, or have other limitations, as they know countless ways to modify poses to work with any limitations. Along the way, I just happened to learn mindfulness and found a bit of inner peace in my practice of yoga.

I entered though the backdoor and you have to hike upstairs and go down a hallway to find the studio. Tai Chi (Tai Ji) is translated to many definitions it could mean great limit, duality, polar, with polarity revealing opposing features such as hot/cold, up/down, dry/wet, day/night related to Yin and Yang. We could go down the rabbit hole and spend an entire semester reading about Chinese folklore and Tai Chi Quan 太极拳 sometimes refer to as Shadow boxing. But the review is here at PranaTonic. John the instructor was very approachable and welcomed me and introduced all the class members. We had about 6 students in our hour long class. The class is very slow and meditative, Tai Chi focuses on the internal spirit of Qi "energy". This is not an Martial Arts class, it's more about balancing the body and mind. Couple students said they come to Tai Chi to help with arthritis, which supports my belief that energy movement jumpstarts our lymphatic system and promotes blood flow. This studio is a multi use space offering yoga, meditation, and even BJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The office also offers acupuncture. PranaTonic is a great find right in the heart of downtown Golden. Will be back to try more classes!

This has become my third place, a safe haven for testing my limits and challenging myself to grow. Yoga changed my life, and Michelle (the same teacher from 4 years ago) is a deep contribution to that change. The dedication she has to the practice and her students is nothing short of magical. She lights up the room with her energy and has the immaculate ability to push you just to the ideal edge every class. Her ability to web life advice, yogic teachings, and be authentic, all while leading a challenging flow is absolutely out of this world! As for Rise, this studio has wonderful classes, teachers, events, and a fantastic teacher training program.
