This place was great! I need an assortment of seafood for a "feast" we were having at a family event. I was able to get all that I needed quickly and it was very good. The seafood was tasty and fresh. The breading was not overpowering and was just enough. If in this area, I would definitely stop in for some more. read more

i ordered the fried flounder and shrimp were crispy, fresh, and really well seasoned--not greasy at all. The Korean chicken was the best part--so good it didn't even need sauce. Crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Place is clean and the everyone were so nice. Definitely would order again!!! read more

REGULAR CUSTOMER NEVER TO RETURN Okay, so here's the thing about Laurel Hill Seafood- their kinda a hot mess. I started going here about 4 or 5 years ago because i lived right around the corner and blue crab places are hard to come by ! Right away I noticed that the owner of the establishment ( we'll call him Mr. X ) was honestly the crotchety of all crotchety old men. He never smiled and he was always speaking gruffly to people BUT the rest of his staff was the sweetest . Like what in the Scrooge Christmas Carol was going on . In terms of seafood, Laurel has great fresh fish and every so often garlic crabs. BUT!! every so often their crabs would be mushy ( which means they cook them DEAD) AND THEIR PRICES ARE ASTRONOMICAL!! This last time I went in I called ahead by an hour was told to come in 40 minutes and arrived to find that Mr. X had never put my crab order in and was completely out of the side I ordered . He brushed me off saying " I forgot ." With NO APOLOGY AND MEAN AT THAT ! I asked him to rectify the situation and instead of giving me the crabs he did have at the price they were when i called he tried to give me a $3 discount and have me pay almost $100 for 2 DOZEN CRABS THAT HE FORGOT TO PUT IN AND COOK . Also let me take this moment to mention that this is the 2nd time Mr. X has acted like this and forgot an order i called in ahead of time . He proceed to walk away from me and I proceeded to tell him he should learn how to run a business. Whew Chile talk about a mess The LONG STORY SHORT: you're better off taking your business and MONEY somewhere else . Because Mr. X is doing the absolute most and we've all had enough of that in 2020 . read more

We've gotten take out from here 3 times now. Food was very fresh and prepared with care. They have a large menu and reasonable prices. The staff is kind and genuine, definitely will be returning. We highly recommend the salmon!! read more

I had visited them a couple years back and my experience wasn't the greatest. Last weekend, I was passing by and thought I might give it a try since it seemed like they were under new management. Surprisingly the food was 100% better than how I remembered from a couple years back. In fact, their fried fish and steamed snow crab platter were one of the best I had for years! Price was affordable compared to other seafood places in the area as well. They sold live crabs, all kinds of fresh fish, and other seafood. The owner couple was very kind and helpful. They also take food stamps! Great local seafood business all around! Will be returning 100% read more

Yes it is very good ! you will enjoy their food, no matter what you order ! Please try Oh and save me some read more

Updated review: I've bought "fresh" fish from them a few times since my last review and each time the fish was bad. You can tell it had been sitting for days. Very disappointing. Their crab platters are still decent but I won't be buying my fish there. Found this place today completely by accident. I was on the way to cap n cats in voorhees which is where I usually go when I'm craving some seafood. This was a good find, customer service was good. The young lady at the counter was pleasant and helpful. I had the number 3 on the steamed section of the menu. I'll be honest, I was expecting more crab legs for 15.99 but to be fair I can't say I know what these things should cost. I was happy to double up on fries instead of coleslaw- they were a bit salty but honestly I've never met a potato I didn't like. The fries were devoured. The crabs were super tasty I wish I had gotten more. I'll go back for sure. I noticed they have fresh fish for sale. Though there wasn't a huge variety I'll buy some at some point to cook at home. All in allI'm excited about this place. read more

I come frequently to get my blue crabs cooked. They have them mostly year around. You can also order fresh seafood or have your food cooked by the friendly staff. read more

There's a barricade of 10+ chairs preventing customers from getting more than 5 feet in the store and nowhere near the fish cases. How the hell is a customer supposed to shop like that?? Walked out empty handed and won't come back. read more

I always go here due to the fact that i don't really know any other seafood places in this area. Not terrible but not exactly great. I guess it depends on who they have in the back. ( I don't know names). If I go here I am definitely walking out with some crab legs. Sometimes they are perfect. Sometimes they are absolutely terrible. My main complain comes from the legs being basically empty. They don't use too much seasoning so you will most likely have to use your own. The butter is good. The service is okay. Prices and size aren't too bad. I've had crab legs from chickies and Pete's and they made me appreciate Laurel seafood. I would recommend but I would definitely say cross your fingers and hope that you get the good batch and it's made by the one who cooks them the best. Fish is good , Big pieces Doesn't use enough seasoning on shrimp Drinks are high as hell read more

Trash! Don't waste your time or money. Horrible customer service and food. My crabs had a resemblance of black mold on them. I'm not eating anything that looks unacceptable. They acted as if I was wrong for asking for my money back. I'm never eating here again. read more

I just have mixed reviews about the rebirth of Laurel Seafood. Maybe I am just impartial because I remember the original Laurel Seafood and how great it was. I stopped by and got the flouder sandwich and the shrimp and scallops platter. The flounder pieces were big. Had I known they were that big, I would have asked for two extra slices of bread and made two sandwiches of it. The platter came with three shrimp and three scallops and a lot of fries. The breading on everything was just bland. I used a lot of ketchup and cocktail sauce for taste. But the seafood underneath tasted fresh and delicious. However, I have had broiled platters from here, and they were excellent. However, the broiled flounder pieces didn't seem as big as they were in the fried sandwich. The service was friendly. The place looked clean. There are a couple of booths for eating in, but no fully fledged restaurant like the old place. With C.J. Bok Seafood's closing (at the corner of Gibbsboro Road and Blackwood-Clementon Road), there are very limited places in the Lindenwold/Clementon/Blackwood area to get fresh seafood. I will probably go back, because other than Shop Rite, there aren't any other seafood options. read more

I have been to many establishments where I have purchased fresh fish but in all my 40+ years of doing so, I have NEVER had the "fishmonger" wrap different kinds of fish together. I ordered bluefish and spots. The young lady who took my order was very polite and very professional. When I inquired about the one package of fish she told me they were wrapped together. She obviously saw the look on my face and asked if I wanted them packaged separately. I said, "yes please!" When she went to tell an Asian man, presumably the owner, he became clearly annoyed by the look on his face and the tone in voice. He looked at me and mumbled something angrily and immediately I became defensive. I said to him, "I have never had anybody wrap different kinds of fish in the same wrapper! What if a person is buying fish for somebody else? Would they then have to go home and re-wrap the fish?" He then said in a nasty tone, "Do you want fish wrap separate, I wrap fish separate?" I told him not to get a attitude with me and yes I want them wrapped separately! I also told him that this was my first and my last time coming to his store. When I got home, I saw that while the fish were separately wrapped they were not secure with tape like when he first wrapped the fish. I also called a couple of places over the weekend to ask if they wrap different kinds of fish together. ALL of the establishments said they have NEVER done that. One gentleman said that it probably wouldn't hurt the fish but "That's just not good safety practicing". The young lady behind the counter did apologize for my inconvenience and I said to her it was not her fault and that her assistance was really appreciated. My family loves fresh fish and seafood and I have a huge blended family. Unfortunately this establishment will not reap the benefits of our patronage. read more

Good service but overpriced for what you receive I purchased shrimp n scallop platter & crab cake platter $12 both came with fries ...shrimps were good can't say the same for the scallops kinda mushy and just tasted weird..you get 3 of each. the crabs cakes were so small and you only get 2 for $7.99 only thing that made it good tasting was the breading but would I go there again? I think not read more

Last night I purchased some seafood from this place, I was sitting there for approximately two hours not knowing they gave my food to the wrong person to add insult to injury, they never apologize to me instead they swore up and down that they gave me the food I had to call the cop. When the cop came he asked them to show him the camera since they insisted that they have me on camera receiving the food and they refused to show the cop the camera. He ordered them to give me my food because he knew that they were lying I would never ever purchase anything from them and the food wasn't that great. read more

Stinks in this place! The food isn't fresh and they don't season anything when they cook it for you. Rude service! Don't spend your money here folks! read more

the seafood is fresh and the will prepare it for you. I get the steamed crablegs cooked with garlic and butter with a little OBay seasoning if that's what you. The batter that they use for their fried seafood is very lite and flavorable. I have also tried their sauteed blue crabs in garlic and butter, very good read more
