Attention my fellow Yelpers!!! Three words...Best.Seafood. Platter. Hands down and without question. Who holds this distinction you ask? Atlantic Fish and Seafood on Mt. Ephriam Ave in Camden, NJ. Heres my review...
Positives: Atlantic Fish and Seafood located in the heart of Camden, NJ on Mt. Ephriam Ave. My family and I frequent them quite often and will definitely pick up as we change to warmer weather. They prepare fried and steamed seafood platters as well as sell seafood (catfish, Whiting, red snapper, jumbo shrimp, large shrimp, porgie, et ). It is your regular seafood aquarium with fish and shrimp ready to bring home to cook. They are great with modifying and adding to your platter (extra butter, potatoes, shrimp etc) with extra towards any payment. Common fried platters are Whiting sandwhiches, crab cake, crab sticks, and catfish, are some of the fried platters they have available. Popular steam platters include crab legs, shrimp, and mussels to name a few. Platter portions are a reflection of price. You are not paying too much and your not paying to little in terms of prepared seafood. Waiting tome for prepared platters is between 15 to 25 minutes.
Negatives: Location may not be the best but as I have found living in the area there are many eateries that are jewels, which should not be disregarded or dismissed because of the location they are in. Phone ahead to place an order to pick up? Great idea right? After one occasion as we attempted to call several times to get our order in ahead of us arriving, there was no answer. Either they get tremendously busy with orders and they do not pick up or they stop picking up the phone altogether. Not something I am used to dealing with in regards to a business, but I just head directly there and plan to wait for freshly hot and steamed seafood. No complaints and I am not a complainer. But this is the reason for 4 out of 5 stars.
