They have disconnected from distractions and connected to the true meaning of family. This cabin is fully equipped for our family of five. Our son has the entire downstairs to himself, complete with a movie theater, a double queen-size bunk bed (yes, queen!), a refrigerator, games, and plenty of privacy--everything a teenager could want! The main floor features a spectacular kitchen, loaded with amenities and easily accessible kitchen utensils. My only complaint is that there is only one pot. Pray you don't need to boil two items, its not happening. They did a really good job decorating, be careful, there are bears here and they roam around at night. Do not take trash out after dark, you will see Yogi and boo-boo outside. I encountered several issues that made my stay uncomfortable, including: * Smell - Mold/Mildew/Smoke - very stale and irritating allergens - it was hard to even stay inside the smell was so offensive * Jacuzzi tub - black grit/dirt coming out of faucet with water; loud squealing noise in pipes? * Hot Tub - green slime in tub, odd chemical smell - not related to chlorine products * Tub/Shower - brown water coming out of faucet for extended period of time * TV remote would not work * Yellow stained sheets, smelling of smoke All of these were discovered upon check-in. It appeared that the cabin may not have been used for some time and wasn't updated for guest arrival. We attempted to eliminate the odor with sprays/disinfectants that we had to go and purchase. We then attempted to use the hot tub, jets would not stay on and there appeared to be some sort of slime in the tub. Upon exiting the hot tub, we tried the jacuzzi tub to rinse the slime off; that water was just as bad, then attempted to shower only to find it much worse. We gave the cabin a chance even though we weren't happy upon arrival. Things just progressively got worse. This was such a disappointment for our Anniversary stay. We travel often and have rented cabins in a variety of areas across the country. Older/aged cabins are common to us; this was well below expectations and description. We unfortunately did not trust that we would be able to seek resolution at 10pm and chose to check into a cabin owned by a different company. We did not get settled until well after midnight somewhere else and lost so much time.

I thought that once we had a code NO ONE else could get in but I was told that maintenance has their own code for entry!!! I was surprised by that and am now missing my iPods? Spent the night sweating, today the indoor temperature climbed to 85 and they expected us to sit and wait "hoping" the A/C would start working with a small child and dog. We had to find another rental last minute for the safety of the puppy and child. They refuse to refund or provide an alternate rental as a good company or owner should do. And provided an insulting refund offer for one night while system is still not cooling. Other than the A/C issue during a heat advisory, the bathroom sinks filled up and drained very slowly there is mold growing on and around the HVAC unit itself, we wouldn't have mentioned or complained about anything if they would've actually done something about how hot it was.

Usually this is not an issue but last season some hunters did not adhere to their designated area and there were conflicts with homeowners in the Norton Creek area . This was documented with authorities. Dogs were hunting as well as hunters on residential land. If you are going to vacation here with children or pets please keep a watchful eye. Hopefully the hunters will be more responsible and respectful from now on.

We rented the property with the primary and secondary treehouses. The primary treehouse was acceptable. The counters hadn't been properly wiped down, and the bedroom had a musty, locker-room smell. I cleaned the counters and used some air freshener, so it was manageable. Unfortunately, the secondary treehouse, where our kids were staying, was a completely different story. There was a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom. At first it was noticeable but tolerable because the cleaners had left the bedroom windows open. Once it got hot and we closed the windows, the odor became overwhelming. Every time someone flushed the toilet, turned on the sink, or took a shower, the smell became nauseating. It was so bad that all of us were forced to use the bathroom in the primary treehouse instead. We reported the issue, but after eight hours with no response, we reached out again and were simply told they were sorry for the inconvenience. After spending a long, hot day hiking, we returned to find that the sewage smell had spread throughout the entire treehouse. Since no one had addressed the problem or offered a solution, we packed up and drove home that evening rather than stay another night. The following day, we were told that maintenance couldn't find anything wrong. That response was frustrating because the odor was impossible to ignore. It leaves me concerned that the issue may not be fixed before future guests stay there. The smell was so severe that we were genuinely worried about the health and safety of anyone sleeping in that treehouse. The company refunded us only half of one night's stay, even though we reported the issue much earlier in the day and ultimately had to cut our trip short. It's disappointing because the property itself is beautiful and has so much potential. Unfortunately, our experience with the condition of the secondary treehouse and the company's response means I would think twice before booking here again.

If you live in a flat state like I do and are not used to driving on mountain roads, you may want to ensure you arrive before dark. We needed a place for family from both Chicago and Tampa, FL to meet and this was the perfect spot. Once we arrived, it was a nice surprise to find this spacious, clean and comfortable home on the side of a cliff. From the front driveway, the home appears smaller. But once you enter, you are greeted by a beautiful vaulted ceiling, well kept hardwood floors and inviting, open spaces. The 3 bathrooms were all very nicely decorated and we love the large, updated showers. The bear decor throughout the house we stayed in is so charming and the kitchen is very well stocked. It was a treat having a hot tub to sit in after a long day of hiking. We also appreciated the pet friendly accommodations. We've rented VRBO houses before and always end up bringing our own hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. But the host provided plenty of these items for our entire 3 night stay. We had a gracious host and he was a great communicator. Sadly, we did not see any bears during our stay but witnessed amazing views of the city lights, moon, stars and sunrise from the decks. The swing on the porch, pool table, ice maker and washer dryer are added bonuses too. We highly recommend this area, if you can drive on the challenging mountain curves, Great Gatlinburg getaway!

My family and I were in town from Lousiville for my daughters cheer competition and was looking to stay an extra day and enjoy the nearby Sevierville/Gatlinburg/pigeon forge areas. I found this company by using Yelp actually. They had a very reasonably priced cabin called the honey bear hollow that sleeps 8-12 people. Me having a family of 7 made it a perfect fit. So you book through the site. Place a credit card on file and pay half up and they will take the second half a week or so before your arrival date. The day of check in You will receive a text notification with an address and pass code for the cabin and the trash cans outside. The day before check out they will text you checking out info and cleanup rules. Our honey bear hollow cabin was beautiful and very nice. You have a covered porch with two rocking chairs and you walk into a nice spacious living room and a kitchen. Off that main floor to the immediate right of the kitchen is a king sized master bedroom and full bathroom with a dual shower head walk in shower. Off the backside of the kitchen is a locked door with a covered patio area with your own personal hot tub. As soon as you walk in where the living room area is a spiral staircase. You get to the top and immediately in front of you is another bathroom with a walk in shower. To the left is a loft area with a pool table and another king sized bed. To the right is another room that features a queen sized bed, a fun retro arcade machine with several classic arcade games and another full sized bed. On our trip here in March of 2022 we got to experience both warm weather cabin life and snowfall cabin life. On our first day here we had beautiful sunny weather up in the high 70's. The next morning we woke up to about 4 inches of snow. I'll give the grounds crew credit. The roads were salted the day before when it was sunny and when we woke up the next morning to a mountain winter wonderland the roads and Drive ways were completely cleared. The surrounding area of the cabin site has a few neighbors. Some closer than others but you still have a ton of privacy. The grounds in the very back has a cute small log cabin chapel and playground. Throughout the site is cool little decor of equipment and even a fake "general" or "thrift" store to give it that southern Sevierville feel to the place. The kids and us loved our cabin. Very spacious and comfortable beds. Nice place to play pr relax and has TVs in each room and in a beautiful area. They really enjoyed the personal hot tub as well. Outside we did have our own grill so if you want to cook out that is an option as well. If I had to critique anything it would be that the pool table in the loft is in a small and tight area. The pool sticks are too long to get off any shot you want without bumping a wall. The TVs all had directv so you had cable but it would be nice if they had a smart tv for streaming services. Overall this was a fantastic and well priced experience and visit. In most of our out of town cheer comps we have to stay in specific hotels near the competition sights. On this trip we was able to book what we wanted to and this massive and fun cabin was actually cheaper per night for a family of 7 like Mine. So we were thrilled with everything!

You don't actually interact with any of the staff, but from my discussions on the phone with them, they seem like nice folks. Would definitely rent from them again if we take a trip to the area again. A couple tips: This cabin is actually in Pigeon Forge, not Gatlinburg. If you're not familiar with the area, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are neighboring towns and you can get to all the Gatlinburg attractions in less than 10 minutes. Pigeon Forge has a lot of great things to do as well if you want to stay closer to the cabin. You're close enough to everything, but just far enough from the main drag that it feels a lot more peaceful when you're at the cabin. Also, you absolutely MUST eat breakfast at Mama's Farmhouse while you are there!

I was especially impressed by how clean everything was upon arrival. One feature that wasn't mentioned in the listing, but turned out to be a huge bonus, was the half bathroom on the main floor. The cabin actually has 1.5 bathrooms, which added extra convenience during our stay. The mountain views were stunning, and we enjoyed our morning coffee overlooking the mountains every day. Everything in the cabin was well maintained and worked perfectly, including the hot tub, shower, fire pit, and grill. We would absolutely stay here again. There is also a quieter entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park nearby, where you can purchase parking tags and access excellent hiking trails, including Porter's Creek Trail. If you're staying in the area, Trish's Diner is a must-visit and is located just a short drive from the cabin. Overall, this was an excellent stay, and we highly recommend The Ever After Cabin to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and relaxing mountain getaway.

Stay away from using this company for a real estate transaction. They were negligent in their…read moreresponsibilities, unprofessional, untruthful, uncommunicative and not knowledgeable of the area. Cherise, our agent, undervalued our property according to other real estate agents. She was negligent in her responsibilities throughout the process. She did not follow up on whether the escrow money was in place within the time limit. We had to ask the title company. At that point the contract had been breached and the property should have reverted back to us, but Cherise only cared about her commission rather than her customer notifying the buyer who then wired the funds. As time went on, we felt she was not adequately representing us, but rather the buyer. We requested to speak with the broker Mr. Reece. Our request was ignored. I literally had to remind her of what she needed to do with respect to amendments to the agreement. We had issues with the buyer who for a second time breached he contract and asked Cherise what our options were. This request was also ignored as was a request for the written requests for extension from the buyer. Cherise did not follow the agreement, in fact seemed clueless to what it said. She accepted an unacceptable method of notification for a written extension and was clueless about the closing date requirements, as well as, when she needed to initiate and amendment to the Agreement. Mr. Reece was on copy to all the email communication. We requested a reduction in fee from Mr. Reece, the broker, based on inadequate representation and the fact we had to lead Cherise by the hand. That request was ignored. The title company stepped in at the end and took over assisting us. I have been through several real estate closings and I have never seen such incompetence in my life. This isn't sour grapes. I spent 26 years writing, negotiating, modifying and administering contractual agreements.

Stayed in the Whimsical Treehouse. Getting to this cabin was a nightmare. We had to go down the…read moreroad and turn around as there is no way to make a right hand turn into the driveway. The directions did say an inclined driveway but no where did it mention you need 4WD or that there are massive pot holes. The cabin itself looked very nice. Inside was definitely smaller than expected, the pictures made it look bigger. The hvac system made a constant whine while on, both split units were a pain and we couldn't get the heat to work on either one until our last day, thankfully there was a space heater to take the chill off. There was a ceramic trim piece that came off a stair and was just sitting on the stair below where it belonged. The shower door does NOT close all the way as the door doesn't line up. The "barn door" on the bathroom has nails sticking out that both of us got cut on. The hot tub is no bigger than a bathtub, pictures show an open 4 person hot tub but it's only a 2 person. There was no outdoor hammock but the listing says there is. The French doors leading to the deck: the door on the left is messed up and is very hard to open and close. The linens on the bed felt like sand paper, they were so rough we had to go buy sheets to use. The bathroom sink is nice looking but doesn't drain well and there was black mold around the drain(I had to clean it) and the water coming out of the faucet well it barely comes out and tastes horrible, had to brush our teeth in the kitchenette sink. Not to mention the garbage can lid was missing. I did try to call in to voice my concerns but after sitting on hold for 30 minutes and no one picking up I gave up and hung up. Lastly the free and discounted tickets offered with every rental are a joke, you have maybe 5 to choose from that are free but only the first ticket is free and the discounted ones are not discounted at all I compared prices and some I could get cheaper directly from the attractions website. Way over priced for what we got, not at all worth $1200 for 4 nights.
