I wasn't sure what to expect based on the reviews and a lower rating. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The Creekstone is located at the tail end of the strip going towards Gatlinburg but it's not on the mainstrip part of it is one street away and the other building is across the creek and down a little more. Which means it's in a great location for both places without all the noise of the street. When traveling with kids that's a very nice thing. When I checked in the person at the front desk was super helpful and nice. My husband and son were coming later and my 7 month old daughter and I were checking in early. He explained that we were in the second building the one across the creek and down a little and how to get there. So we checked in grabbed our keys and headed out. Found the other building super easy and started to unload. This was where we had the only problem the whole stay. We got to the room, she was cranky due to nap time and I couldn't open the door. The light turned green but the door wouldn't budge. Luckily, I had seen some housekeeping personnel on the first floor, so I went down for help. The person, who I assumed to be the manager came up with me and it was a simple issue. The handles on some of the doors were opposite. The handle needed to be lifted up instead of pushed down. Quirky yes, but not bad. The room was clean and spacious with a separate area for when my son came. It was nice we weren't on top of each other. Each room had a balcony facing the creek and you can watch the ducks and geese and little critters from your balcony. My son was super happy to spot what we thought to be a little muskrat hanging out down below. Breakfast is offered daily from 7-10. They have a variety of things from hot to cold items, such as eggs sausages and waffles along with cereal, yogurt and fruit. Plus other things too. Between all of us we probably sampled the mass majority of it. It was all good. It was hot and fresh and honestly a lot better than I expected. For me this place was an unexpected gem. Everyone who I met with, or asked for help from was super kind and helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and quiet. Yes, if you are in the second building you have to drive for the breakfast that's included, but, that second building is gold. It's quiet with no street noise, just the creek if you opened the door. I would definitely come and stay here again.

In three minutes we saw two separate police officers patrolling down our street slowly. Parking is under the hotel in a small parking garage. Our room was gorgeous and so, so clean! Albeit, a little dated, this was a great room for a girls trip. We had just enough room, excellent view of the river with plenty of birds to watch, and were close to area attractions; located in south Pigeon Forge, towards Gatlinburg. Drury Plaza Hotel in Pigeon Forge is brand new and was opened to the public on July 30, 2025. It's a 10 minute drive to Dollywood, 2 minutes from The Island in Pigeon Forge, and a few minutes from the strip (or Parkway). It's incredibly convenient to local attractions without all of the noise and traffic. We visited Pigeon Forge for my birthday weekend and my husband spent a little extra for the top floor so that we could have a better view of the mountains. Parking is easy but there aren't a ton of options to park in the shade, so do be aware that you may have to park on the second floor with no shade or the gated parking lot that isn't shaded. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean, and inviting. The staff are all very kind and hardworking. Whether it's the reception greeting us as we came and went, the staff in the dining area cleaning up, or the housekeepers, everyone was respectful and pleasant. Our room (810) was clean and very well stocked. The bed and pillows were comfortable and overall, the floor/room was pretty quiet. Our view was okay, mainly overlooking the parking lot but the mountains behind it were beautiful. Drury Hotel is very pet friendly and the rate is $50/night. There's grass surrounding the hotel and is right next to a river trail. There are also pet cleanup stations as well. When we checked out, the receptionist gave my dog a treat bag and a strawberry dog toy. It felt so special! Breakfast was always hot and well stocked with choices like home fries, yogurt, cereal, biscuits and gravy, breads, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, and tortillas. There is a beverage station with fruit juice, coffee, and a soda fountain. 5:30 Kickback starts at 5:00 at this location and it's such an amazing perk to staying at Drury! There are snack options that changes daily and each adult over 21 receive three free alcoholic beverages each night of their stay. We truly enjoyed our stay at Drury Plaza and will definitely start looking to stay with this particular chain from now on.

I knew nothing of the area but the bare minimum. Upon arriving here, it appears to be a bit sketch. But no need to fret on that part, just know that there is multiple layers of renovations going on for this lot and two adjacent lots. If you go back through Google Maps you can see that this wasn't always the hotel it now is. I'm not sure if this parcel was part of the tower hotel in front that is now a Days Inn, part of the parcel behind it that has been torn down, or a combination of them all. By the maps, they only go back to about 2014, it looks as if this may have been a long term residence type of place, as in apartments. With those maps you can tell the massive amounts of renovations they have made to this parcel. It looks like they gutted the building and started with an empty slate, I'm just guessing here. This calls back to the time when motels were king and direct access to the outside from your room was the norm. For me, however, I felt a bit uneasy with this, more on that later. Checking in was a bit of a task. When I showed up and walked into the lobby area there was no one around and a sign was on the desk saying that they will be back in a few minutes. I took that as a chance to stretch my legs and take in the outside. You can tell that the building was freshly remodeled with bright paint, newer looking doors for each unit, new windows, and a few other things. However, the one thing that feels neglected here is the parking lot. They spent all this time and money on redoing the building, but the parking lot just felt like an afterthought. Finally able to check in, I got my key to my room and went to move my vehicle so that it would be right outside my door. What was odd here was that there weren't so many people checked in, but of those of us that were, we were all clustered in one area, all towards the back of the property. I will say, that with the rooms opening up to the outside it is convenient for easy in and out, but it just doesn't feel safe. Even though there has been a refresh here, I feel like some more time could have been taken with the doors. Once I was in the room and settled, I noticed that there wasn't a tight seal around the door. I could actually see daylight coming in under the door and towards the top. I'm sure when winter rolls around, that won't make it very comfortable in the room. The room felt cavernous. Bigger than I expected floorplan that allowed for two queen beds, dresser and desk. Then there was the offshoot that served as a kitchen type area. I didn't notice anything in here, it was a bare kitchen, but you had your fridge in this area, as well as a microwave and sink. There is a cooktop, but nothing to cook with. I guess you have to bring that on your own. The bathroom was of a decent size as well. Shower was quite big, but there already looked like there was some water damage happening. I'm not sure how recent this place was remodeled, but that left something to be desired to see. AC worked nicely and kept the room cool in the middle of the hot days of summer. I'm sure this place will go through some growing pains in the coming months, but it's not a bad place to stay in the least. They do offer breakfast if that's your thing and it is really close to a lot of other eateries and sights in the area. Go cart track right across the street.

They give you a sheet and a shabby tan blanket with some kind of decorative (I use decorative loosely) cover to hide the shabby, rough blanket beneath. There is a hairdryer in the room, a small refrigerator that was almost cool enough. There was little shower pressure. There is no breakfast of any sort. There was a small outdoor pool, but I didn't use it. There are no views of anything and the location is not good for shopping or activities in walking distance. The room was clean enough, but smelled like smoke. I won't be back. I've stayed in Pigeon Forge a few times and this place is just not where I want to spend my time or money.
