Accessibility: the store is wheelchair accessible and the door to enter is usually propped open. Experience: upon entering, it was like I stepped into a magic wonderland. The colors, glitter, and detail in everything was incredible. This store is run by a very nice woman who actually has different people come sell their things in sections of the store, like different booths, but everything is set up in a way that flows and blends fluidly. There are tons of handmade items here such as toys, baby clothing, Christmas ornaments, and natural soaps and lotions. There are big and small things, so you can really spend a good amount of time looking. I recommend checking this place out if you like trinkets and good energy, or if you want to get a small gift for someone else any time of the year. read more

Packed full of quality gift ideas for all ages. A couple of people we know have newborns, so we were drawn to the children's area of the boutique. Laurel Glen carries a stuffed animal company called "jellycat"... (back story: our daughter got a rabbit at birth and it's been through everything and survived). We picked up a couple and a book similar to the plush as well. Great store. I feel like I'll be back again for more gift ideas/purchases. read more

I've been Christmas shopping twice here and found great gifts both times. There are good, unique selection of handmade items and it's nice to support a local business. The lady who I assume is the owner is nice and willing to answer questions and clearly takes pride in her business. Some favorite gifts have been the fuzzy socks, headlamp, candles and diffusers. It's really like a bit of a treasure hunt. It's not cheap but not super expensive either, I usually spend between $30-50 per person. Minus one star cause my interaction with the other lady working there was a little off. read more

Laurel Glen is my go to for holiday, birthday and teacher gifts. They have such a beautiful assortment of merchandise- I always find something perfect for the person I'm shopping for. The reason I want to leave a review- however- is because they are by far the nicest, most gracious shop staff in Escondido. Every time I walk in, whether alone or with my kids, they are SO nice and helpful. Other local shops are a little stuck up and sometimes even seem annoyed when you ask questions - but that has never been the case at Laurel Glen. I come for the merchandise and purchase because of the service. I cannot recommend them highly enough! read more

I've shopped here many times for home decor, gifts, fun holiday stuff, and today for an outfit for an event which I happened upon and loved. I also have found some of my favorite hand made candles & soap there! The store has many vendors that display and sell their items through the store. The contents of the store change often, especially seasonally which I love, because that means I'll come in and find new items that weren't there before. However, because the items are sold by different vendors, and sometimes vendors change, the policy is "all sales final". I've never had an issue with this, but just be aware of that before buying. So if you see clothes you like, try them on in the dressing room 1st. As for me, I'll happily continue to shop here. read more

My boyfriend and I went in here to kill some time and we wandered to the back of the store to see what else was there. My boyfriend loved some of the patterned shirt and so he took some pictures. We did not see a single a sign saying "no photos", but sure enough, the shop manager can running to the back saying "no pictures!" We immediately left because we felt like we were being watched. I had encountered the same issue with this store in Escondido. Came across them during their recent Street Fair and made numerous purchases. Arrived the following week to return an item and was firmly told All Sales Are Final while owner Leah pointed to a portable sign behind her stating the same. Additionally she explained that if she accepted returns they would have to be approved by her vendors first. At this turn in the story I learned that her vendors rent sections of the store out for their products and customers technically buy from them. She is just the middle person that rings items up and packages them up. That said, I informed her of her obligation to place her sign visible to patrons and it should be stated on the receipt as well per Dept. Of Consumer Affairs. Now as a consumer I don't mind retailers having varied business practices but I do have a serious concern when you're expected to know of them as though you work there. Aside from this road bump the variety of products are Wonderful! From jewelry to interior decor to shoes and skin care. One of a kind store in the area! read more

Whenever I need to find a special gift for a friend or something beautiful for my home, I head here to Laurel Glen. The owner finds the most talented and eclectic vendors who sell unique and wonderful items, I always walk away with a purchase. I've found Hawaiian Shirts, holiday decorations, baby gifts, gorgeous picture frames, whimsical gardening items and fun-to-wear jewelry...it's all so fabulous. Leah and Sue, who are usually behind the counter, are also helpful. They showed me the 50% off room and what a great idea that is! Items that need to move on or some things that may have a little scratch are in that room for purchase. I've never had an issue with service in this store, but I have witnessed some poor behavior from customers who either allow their children to run amok or won't put items back where they got them. A lot of fun stuff to look at and gadgets from a brand named SUCK UK and Fred and Friends. Purchased pen holders, bottle opener and bookmarks that are quite unique. I spent over $800 at this place last Christmas.. I went in to purchase an expensive gift for my wife's birthday. They denied me access to a restroom, am I'm disabled.. not as in with a wheelchair.. but they judged me and told me to use the bar across the street.. I won't support them or shop there ever again.. I hope they close soon.. maybe a bar will get that location.. Had to give them one star because you cant post unless you do.. they do t deserve even that. read more

This store gets ZERO STARS as There are NOT enough negative stars to give this rat hole as an option!!! Customer Service was very rude and intolerant and quick to erroneously stereotype They watch the wrong people while others steal their stuff under their noses but they are so focused on you. We kept getting followed while store packed with people and repeatedly asked not to touch merchandise...while clearly everyone else was touching merchandise and it was OK for them. Very disappointing. As we had just left a few doors down where we were handling merchandise worth hundreds even thousands and here the stuff we were looking at here at this rat hole the store person was wigging out. We were even like...really...are you for real. Rude..discriminatory...biased preconceived notions run this place....I recommend the Rustic Sparrow instead. In comparison this place is overpriced and needs more sensitivity training when dealing with clientele. Horrible horrible horrible experience. I am sorry to say. Will not be shopping here and Will NOT recommend this store. read more
