It was an easy find. This place is big with a huge sign. It is located at a corner with some parking spaces on the side and more on the back. Laundry World has the big machines. The ones perfect for comforters. It has other smaller size machines also. They don't take quarters. They have a machine that u charge and it issues a payment card. The place has vending machines inside with snacks, drinks, and Laundry products. It is a one-stop place. I had an issue closing the washer. The door would not close. I then tried 3 dryers that did not work. I was actually having a hard time finding a working big dryer. Loading and unloading a big, wet, comforter from one machine to another was not fun. I thought it was just me but I heard others with the same issue. I wish they had a not working sign on them. The customer service is not so friendly here. She did do her job, however it was more like you are interrupting my work attitude. read more

I went there to get my comforter washed. The washers are kind of expensive that are large. They're $9.95 But to dry them is fairly cheap at $.55 per 12 minutes and it only took 36 minutes to dry. I put too much on my laundry card but no doubt I'll be back when I need to do a wash. The smaller washes are a lot less expensive at $3.65. It's a very efficient way to get all of your laundry done quickly. The thing I was so amazed about the place is that it's air-conditioned. I've been to other laundromats that are not air conditioned. Plus, it's extremely clean and located conveniently on Federal Highway. I know some people just take their comforter to dry cleaners but there's nothing like the smell of a freshly washed comforter. Plus, it was much cheaper than taking to the dry cleaner. read more

This is one nice air conditioned laundry mat, however you are going to pay for it. Pricing is between 5 bucks to 10 bucks per wash. Dryers appear more reasonable at around a dollar for 20-25 minutes of use. Place is clean, smells good, and has a couple vending machines. One challenge is that all machines use a business specific laundry card that must be prefilled with money. Challenging to address just how much will be needed. read more

I come here as I like this place. Cleaner than some in the area. My issue is that they went up on using the machines. The smaller one is said it was $5.35 to use but then stopped and asked for another $0.25. I put an extra $15.00 on my laundry card. How I put the money into the machine and it's now doubling what was owed. They are taking people's money here and that's not right. Only real reason as I said is because this is the cleanest laundromat in the area. They need to fix the machines as well. A lot of times they have "out of order" machines read more

I came here after my husband passed away I have a 15 month old and a nine-year-old and our washer machine broke. I dropped off clothes mostly baby clothes for wash dry and fold and they told me it would be a $1.25 per pound then charged me $83 for what I dropped off. $83 dollars?!??! STAY AWAY!!! Would give no stars if possible! This place seemed perfect; it's inside, has AC, & is close to my house. Unfortunately it's anything but convenient. The machines are constantly broken, Your always finding something gross or unsafe in your laundry, & they also steal the money off of your cards. When you ask the attendant for help she just yells at you, curses & calls you names in Spanish (I'm assuming she thought I didn't speak it) & acts like she doesn't know what's going on. The parking here is an absolute joke & if you park across the street they'll tow your car to which the attendant claims is not her fault & proceeds to ignore you. Very expensive place BUT it's the only laundromat in the area that takes cards instead of coins (I appreciate this very much as I rarely have coins or cash on me and live on credit cards). The machines (especially the small ones) also drank half of my detergent bottle before getting soapy. Not happy with that. I would advise only using this place to wash rugs and large bedding. read more

***Update: 11/29/18. I am so upset w/ the attendant here. She is beyond rude. I can't even put into words how disgusted I am with this person. The machines I was using ended their cycles & when all LED screens read "End" I opened them to remove the laundry. 1 of the 3 machines I was using was still soaking when when I pulled it out. I immediately walked over to her & asked for some towels so "I could clean it up". I didn't even ask for her to clean it as I felt it was my responsibility. She comes over with a mop & immediately begins berating me. She told me I must be "stupid" for opening the washing machine when it reads "END" & it was my fault the machine malfunctioned. I pointed to the instructions that are clearly written on the front of the machine (see pics) that state "End - cycle is finished & door is ready to be opened". She stated that's not what it means. That I should have waited for it to read "SEL". No where on the instructions says "SEL". She also said "how did only your machine break?? Out of all these machines ONLY this one breaks??!!". Mind you I had already paid $28.50 in washing & was prepared to pay more for drying. I simply asked how to run it to extract the water since I already paid $9.50 for that machine & it didn't extract. She asked for my laundry card & I handed it over thinking she was going to offer a partial refund. In reality she actually drained my card & then proceeded to call me stupid again & pointing to her head as if to say I'm retarded or something. I repeatedly asked for my money back that she took without asking. She literally just kept ignoring me & saying over & over again that "it's my problem, not hers that the machine malfunctioned. That no machine has malfunctioned on her watch. I explained there are Out of Service signs (see pics) on multiple machines so please stop lying. I asked for the owner/managements contact info. She said she was it & again "not her problem & It was my problem". I wasn't even asking for a refund of $9.50. I asked for assistance with getting all the water out of my clothes since I was already out the $$$ & didn't get the service I paid for. I had an appt I needed to leave for so I couldn't stay any longer trying to get this resolved with the ONLY person there whose job it is to assist customers. I had to leave without getting the money she STOLE from me when she leave with my card & returned it empty. I was tempted to call the non-911 number but I didn't have the time to wait for a deputy & it's apparent there wasn't going to be any resolution with her on my own in the time I had left. I can't believe the treatment I received & the lack of any assistance not to mention the THEFT of funds from my card. After doing some research online I plan on contacting GALAXY HOLDINGS OF ILLINOIS, INC. 1111 N. Plaza Drive, STE 200 SCHAUMBURG, IL 60173 847.891.1800 & Ron Shoffet of LHP (the registered agent) Regarding the actions/behavior of this employee. Also, the parking lot was already tiny but with active construction going on, they are literally down to 7 parking spots (2 of which are Handicapped) for the entire place. Or at the very least, video record your entire time here showing when you open the doors to the machine so you can have proof it was a machine malfunction as this attendant will not do anything for you & blame you. *** Largest washing machine I've ever seen, 75lb capacity for $9.50!!! My first time here I was very impressed with how clean it is. I was shocked to find the biggest washing machine I've ever seen. I was here to wash 3 Thick King comforters. To my surprise all 3 fit in one of these & there was still room without overfilling it. The card system concept is new to me & was confusing. I attempted to ask the attendant for assistance & she just gave me the stink eye & walked away in the middle of my question. She was wearing a smock that read "How may I help you?"...This employee is so rude. The card machine only accept bills, no coins which I brought thinking that's what laundromats accept. Don't bring coins as the attendant won't make change either. Bathroom access & vending machines also only accept the card for use. Parking lot seems small. I wish they had sign to tell you how much laundry soap to use in these VERY HE machines as I am not familiar. This laundromat doesn't seem to have regular hours of operation. Online it says 9am-10pm. On the door it says 6am-11pm. The door also says the last wash is at 10pm. But when I showed up at 9:30pm I was told by the attendant that she got "authorization to close." Needing to wash my clothes for the next day and being turned away was a major inconvenience. Don't rely on this laundromat to be open when they say they are. read more

People were still inside and Spanish lady listening to her music trying to tell me that it's 11 on her watch. Showed satellite time on phone as 10:57. I'm not one to use a laundromat. I find them dirty and unsanitary. Washing clothes in the same place as strangers just is gross to me. But we had to wash our clothes today so my husband brought me here to do so. I like the options for washer sizes. However the prices are higher than I'd have liked. The washing machines are dirty and gross and look like the staff never cleans them nor do the users have respect for the machines to not make a mess of them. I don't think I'll be coming back for the prices and the dirtiness of the machines. read more

This was my first visit to the location and I can't express my disappointment strongly enough. The attendant stained with black marks our brand new mattress cover that we had just taken out of the package. We had taken it in for drop off service because it was too large for our machine at home, and we wanted to wash it before we used it for the first time. The attendant denied that it was her fault or the fault of any of the machines, and said that someone must have written on the back of the mattress cover in black marker at the store where we purchased it. She didn't offer us a refund for the washing service, which had already been pre-paid, nor any other solution except that we should take it back to the store if we still had the receipt. After a prolonged conversation, she eventually offered to wash it with bleach again for free and "maybe" it would come out, but she did not apologize or admit fault at any time. I can't believe our purchase is ruined and we paid $15.00 for the service that wasn't reimbursed. Worst of all, a simple apology would have gone a long way in this situation. read more
