Just before leaving Brooklyn, we decided to drop off some laundry. Our son used it, living in apartment with no washer-dryer. We got around 10 pounds and as per suggestion of the laundromat attendant we agreed on 2 separate washes. It cost us $16.50, but at the promised time the whole laundry was done, nicely separated and compactly packed. One thing we didn't like is attendant's attitude, being very rude. read more

People need to avoid coming in to this place on the weekends! Lady at the counter always gives me an attitude and I don't understand why...could it be my race?! Today I used their washer as usual and after putting the right amount plus 1 extra quart the machine didn't work. So, I've ask the lady nicely to check and she said "why didn't you check to see if the light is on or not?!" Oh I got ticked off once she said that! 1. I don't work there and 2. I wouldn't know if it's working or not. I got a little loud and asked why she's giving me an attitude. Also, asked her why she didn't put up a sign. MORE attitude "because I'm busy and if you keep screaming then go to another place. I can't help you!" If this is the treatment we get then I'm not coming on the weekend any more! 11/16/2024 Here's an update to this post: I went back yesterday doing my laundry as usual. A white male next to me was having problems with his washer. He asked for the same lady for help and guess what? She was all smiles and very happy to help and even gave him full refunds to help him start the wash. Usually she would give other customers and including myself the same answer: "you need to call the number there up there for refund." Moral of the story is, if you're white then you're good. This is personal experience. 12/12024 read more

I just went here for the first time today! Even though it's a few steps from my place, I kept putting off going because of all the reviews. I had a great experience and can't speak to any negative comments I've seen. I washed my sheets in the large washing machine and regular dryer. No soapy residue to be seen, and plenty of water in the cycle. I paid for a little over 30 minutes on the dryer and didn't even need that much - they were very hot (and very dry) when it was finished. I used the change machine twice and got all of the quarters due. I waited on an available chair and watched several regulars come in and chat with the woman working, so I can't be the only one with no issues. I will definitely be returning! read more

If I had a quarter for every quarter I lost here, it would be as if I was in a decent, well-run laundromat. Sadly that's not the case at all. The staff here are spectacularly rude (ask them to break a $20, I dare you), and so fiercely defend the integrity of their perpetually breaking machines that you will never be reimbursed for your lost coins. They also seem to love bleach, as it ends up on most of your clothes while in the wash. An out of order sign here means that a group of patrons collectively lost over $200 over the course of 1 week. After losing what equates to half of my rent over the span of 2 years, I decided to move on. I know, I know, I should have moved on sooner, but I kept wanting to give this business a chance (it's even a bit out of my way). Fifth Ave. can only house so many nail salons and sports bars. Well, can't say I didn't try. read more

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! This is the closest laundromat to my apartment, and for that reason alone I've given it sooo many tries during the past 5 years. The water levels during the wash cycles are super-low to nonexistent, which means you must wash every load TWICE just to rinse the soap out of it. Mind you, these are the same machines they use when you drop off your laundry for them to do it, so your clothes are sure to be full of dried-in soap when you pick them up. The weekend staff during Saturday & Sunday are notoriously rude. Avoid this place if you can. It's just awful! read more

Customer service is the number one thing I look at when I'm rating, so mainly I am giving this laundromat 2 stars because every single time I am here, the workers tend to be rude, negative, short and frustrated when I ask a question. It's a clean laundromat, but to me, service is errrrrythang! In another review I read that the workers here will break change for you, however the past two times I have been here, that was not the case. I asked the worker if she could break my $10 bill, because I did not want to put that in the bill changer machine because I did not need many quarters, I only needed enough quarters to dry two loads of my laundry (clearly I didn't need ten dollars worth of quarters). The worker looked at me in the eye, said no, and went back to work. Her demeanor was rude, curt and unapologetic. She could have pointed me in the direction of where I could get change, however, she stared at me as if it were preposterous that I asked her for change. En serio? It's a laundromat! Ain't that a part of keeping your business straight? Keep the money flowing?! Anyways, I don't appreciate businesses that support people being rude to customers, so I definitely will not be coming back! MARCY'S on 4th Ave. between Douglas and Degraw is a further walk for me, but I appreciate their customer service, and it's owned by native New Yorker's, so I encourage all you unhappy customers to support a different laundromat. Laundromat - Won't be coming here anymore. Even though it's closer than other options, like Marcy's, I don't like to give rudeness the time of day. - Laundromat Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Only reason I go here is because it's the closest laundry mat to my apartment. During the week, it's very quiet and I don't mind doing my laundry here. But during the weekends, just avoid. It's crowded and gets messy very fast with people socializing with the workers. Also the man who works there does not wear a mask even though there are signs letting customers know they must wear a mask. read more

Don't use the dryers if you like your clothes dry. 56 minutes of waiting and my clothes were still very damp, and the early closing time meant that I had to take them home like that. And you're out of luck if you think the staff will care. read more

Laundromat at 204 Fifth ave on the corner of Union just reopened July 1st. Owner is incredibly friendly and all the washing machines are brand new. They dont open full time until monday, when they start the wash and fold service. Starting monday hours are 730 -9pm I will update this review next week when I have a little more experience with the place. read more

Great laundry option in the heart of the slope. It's open much later than other options and has at least fifteen washers and quite a few dryers. I especially appreciate that they do not close their doors an hour before closing. It's on 5th Ave so there's a constant stream of folks that walk by - I wouldn't necessarily leave my laundry in for too long. read more

Shrunk all my cloths with drop off service! Shirts, boxers, pants are all tight now. Very disappointed.

Some of the women that work here are plain rude and incredibly disrespectful. For starters, they aren't that good at what they do. The clothes feel stiff and there is no nice scent. Plus, they lose socks. Worst of all, they close whenever they feel. I dropped my laundry off this morning and the woman (who was nice) said they close around 10 or 11. I went to pick up my laundry at 9:50 and another woman was in there by herself with the door locked. I knocked on the door and the woman looked at me then went back to folding clothes. I knocked again, in case she didn't hear me/didn't process that I wanted my clothes. But she just looked up at me again, then continued to ignore me. This happened at least 2 more times. I'm furious. I hate that it's the laundromat closest to us.. read more

Drop off your laundry before work, and pick it up on your way home. It opens early and closes late, so even the over-acheiving over-timers can be kept in clean socks. If, horror of horrors, you need to do a load yourself, there are plenty of machines, and a will set you back $2.25 a load. The laundry ladies are friendly and appreciate when you pay with small bills. read more

If, like me, you like to do your laundry with a little bachata playing in the background, this is a good spot. The machines can be a bit temperamental accepting quarters, so just use the button and try again or tap the coin loader. It's inexpensive ($2.25 to wash and $.25 for 7 minutes of drying) and clean. I wish there were more comfortable places to sit (it's narrow, so you generally feel like you're in the way), but it's a laundromat, not a cafe. And the staff are fine, just be polite. read more

Beware of fraud here. This place uses only cold water, even if you select warm or hot. The two times over the last two months that I remembered to put my finger in the detergent hole, the water was ice-cold. I had noticed that the stains from my clothes (I work in construction) had not been coming out, which is why I tried to remember to check the temperature. When I notified the attendant there, she told me it would eventually get warmer. This did not happen. When I respectfully requested a refund, she got very aggressive and told me to contact the owner. Regardless, I will not be going back, which is a HUGE pain, because the next closest laundromat is on 5th Ave and 3rd street. That being said, cold water is a deal-breaker for clothes that are saturated in dirt and motor oil. For any person, regardless of job, I would think that the prospect of washing towels or sheets in cold water also would be uncomfortable. read more

folding is a little inconsistent, last night i picked up my clothes and they were folded perfectly. another time i picked up my clothes and i couldn't help but notice they were more wrinkled than when they were dirty... i won't complain too much since this laundromat was much needed in the location but a word of advice....don't leave your clothes here for too many days, they really don't like that. read more

LOVE this place - they are so sweet and so efficient. It is spacious and clean. Hard to come by in Brooklyn! Five stars! read more

Been going here for a year, started off by using the machines myself and haven't run into many issues. Started doing drop off services in the last couple of months. The people who work there seem cordial enough, and the laundry was clean for the most part. However, my last pick up, some of my clothes were ruined. They never addressed it when I picked it up and when I came home, my whites were pink and several of my jeans had dried white stains all over them. I went back to them and showed them the clothes. The woman working that night, took the clothes/sheets and then called her coworker that washed the clothes on the weekend. She told me to come back on the weekend. So I went back on the weekend, and they were still washing my clothes when I got there. (I redropped the ruined clothes on Tuesday and I came by Sunday) The whites and the dark jeans were being washed together and now the whites had a blue tint to them. The stains on the jeans were still there and from what I can understand they washed it 4-5 times. At that point, some one in the laundromat had to translate for me. I knew I wouldn't be compensated for the ruined clothes/sheets but I asked if I can be compensated for the laundry itself but they said no because they washed the clothes 4-5 times. So I just took the wet clothes and brought it home to clean myself. I won't go there for drop off but if I need to use the machines, I most likely will go there since it's closest. The staff weren't malicious or mean, but it was a little bit shady and they weren't taking responsibility over the ruined clothes. Their theories about what happened also was pretty ridiculous and made me doubt their overall knowledge on how laundry is done (ie washing dark denim with the whites 4, 5 times, not a good idea). read more

This place is okay, not great. My clothes come back not smelling like they used any sort of fabric softener. The folding job is usually pretty decent though. Also, the turnaround time is usually just a few hours. read more

This is my local laundromat. I've been going here at least once a week for about 8 months to drop off and pick up my laundry. This morning at about 7:30am I went in to pick up my laundry and was accosted by the guy working there. He called me a thief and was belligerent. All for taking my laundry bag down off shelf, as is normal procedure at this laundromat every week that I go in to pick up my laundry. There are about 10 other places to drop off my laundry within a 3 block radius of this place. Needless to say, I won't be bringing my laundry back here. read more

The thing that makes this place so terrible is the staff. The people that work here are incredibly rude to their customers. They never smile no matter how nice you are and offer zero service. I came in here and politely smiled at one of the staff and expressed how no water was coming out of my machine. She shrugged and said "I can't do nothing" and walked away. When smiled and I asked if, "I could please have my money back?" She just turned her back and walk away. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. I wish there was another laundromat close by!! read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars - IT'S ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. We have been coming here for years, and within the past 6 months, we have had issues when both dropping off AND doing our own laundry. The staff is incompetent, rude and do not take any responsibility for their mistakes. Luckily, I am fluent in Spanish and can communicate/argue with them. If not, GOOD LUCK TO YOU! They have lost our clothes (when dropping off), and even mixed our loads with someone else's and made US personally sort thru everything in order to find our missing things (which is gross for us and the other person who is completely unaware of the situation). Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that most people are not keen on having strangers go through their personal items. The staff never even apologized for the inconvenience. Important to also note that this did NOT happen when we dropped off clothes -- we were washing our own clothes and they just took it upon themselves to remove them from a machine and mix it up with someone else's. Suppose it helped make our Sunday afternoon a bit more interesting.... We have asked to speak to a manager multiple times, and the employees claim they do not have a manager or boss...which also seems beyond unlikely. MANAGEMENT --- if you're reading this, please note that you're in dire need of new, capable employees. :) read more

Extremely rude service attendant here. Asked for change of a $20 so I can make quarters of a $10 and she just kept saying no. Would not recommend anyone to come here. Much better laundromats in the area. read more
