Great laundromat! Clean, lots of machines (very rarely broken, if ever), and really nice staff.

I've used this place several times. The service is friendly, good, and fast, and the staff are friendly. Inexpensive, too.

Just before leaving Brooklyn, we decided to drop off some laundry. Our son used it, living in…read moreapartment with no washer-dryer. We got around 10 pounds and as per suggestion of the laundromat attendant we agreed on 2 separate washes. It cost us $16.50, but at the promised time the whole laundry was done, nicely separated and compactly packed. One thing we didn't like is attendant's attitude, being very rude.

People need to avoid coming in to this place on the weekends! Lady at the counter always gives me…read morean attitude and I don't understand why...could it be my race?! Today I used their washer as usual and after putting the right amount plus 1 extra quart the machine didn't work. So, I've ask the lady nicely to check and she said "why didn't you check to see if the light is on or not?!" Oh I got ticked off once she said that! 1. I don't work there and 2. I wouldn't know if it's working or not. I got a little loud and asked why she's giving me an attitude. Also, asked her why she didn't put up a sign. MORE attitude "because I'm busy and if you keep screaming then go to another place. I can't help you!" If this is the treatment we get then I'm not coming on the weekend any more! 11/16/2024 Here's an update to this post: I went back yesterday doing my laundry as usual. A white male next to me was having problems with his washer. He asked for the same lady for help and guess what? She was all smiles and very happy to help and even gave him full refunds to help him start the wash. Usually she would give other customers and including myself the same answer: "you need to call the number there up there for refund." Moral of the story is, if you're white then you're good. This is personal experience. 12/12024

I would definitely come back here again to do laundry. As far as I could tell, this laundromat is…read moreonly for do-it-yourself laundry (not wash & fold or dry-cleaning). I arrived at 7:15 p.m. on a Tuesday night, and there were plenty of machines open (and a couple others doing laundry). The quarter machine accepts $1 & $5 bills, and there were a ton of rolling baskets and two tables for folding clean clothes. Washing costs $2.50 for the smaller machines (it looked like $4 for the larger ones?!). Drying is $.25 per 7 minutes. I had one load of whites and one load of colors, so I put them in two separate machines. These dryers are HUGE--the whites load dried in 28 minutes ($1) and the colors load which was a little larger required 35 minutes ($1.25). When I return, I will probably use two small washers for the sorted loads and then cram everything into one of the huge dryers and dry it for a little longer. :P The place was very well-lit and looked clean. On the down-side, there were only 3 chairs so I sat in one of them but I'm not sure where everyone else is supposed to wait when it gets crowded haha. I guess you could head across the street to the Starbucks if you really wanted to. As it got closer to closing time, an employee came in and swept the floor.

I'm sure everyone in this area of the neighborhood can agree. We have limited laundromats around…read more1st street. It is time please to upgrade to card machines. Enough with the quarter machines. Half the machines are always "out of order." You have to wait to get a machine because there are not enough. Every machine has mold in the area where you add detergent. There are mice and roach traps everywhere. Machines out of order. Customers complaining. In the summer there is no AC. In the winter the heat barely works. I feel bad for the woman who works there. It is time. There are laundromats further away that are brand new. This place needs to change.

Yung Laundromat - Just received this message in response to my review. Wow. There's no need for the threat. I will never return to the establishment.

I don't write many reviews but this place deserves a shout-out! Most NYC laundromats are mediocre…read moreat best, but Yung is actually great. Note that I have only used the self-service washing/drying. I found Yung Laundromat shortly after moving to the neighborhood. My first laundry attempt after the move was on a rainy weekday evening. After trudging to two other laundromats closest to home and finding that they close unexpected early, I found this place on Yelp and gave them a call. The person who answered happily informed me that they are open daily until 8pm daily (as of April/May 2021 - COVID hours). I walked my heavy laundry 10 minutes down the road in the rain and found that this place was not only open, but clean, uncrowded, and well-maintained. I especially love that signage has been thoughtfully posted on nice printed decals unlike most other places that tend to hastily tape up paper print-outs. They also pay attention to other details, like diligently keeping all detergent tray covers flipped open when not in use to prevent mildew buildup. And so far, the change machine has always worked fine. I continue to do my laundry here regularly even though there are at least 3 other laundromats closer to home. Prices are very reasonable, too - $5.25 for a very large load (technically 4x size I think), and $0.25 per 7 minutes of drying.

I've been going here for years to do my wash and fold. I've known for years to deal with the main…read moreguy, mainly because the woman is really nasty. Over the years I've put up with the occasional lost sock here and there. The guy was nice enough to pick up and deliver when my daughter was sick and I couldnt leave the house. I even put up with the fact that I told them repeatedly - t-shirts need to be folded so you can see the front - not the back (most t-shirts have writing on the front not the back)... They kept messing that up - and then I kept having to re-do it when I got home. So what is the point of paying for wash and fold (two services) - when I had to do one of them over after coming home??? HAVING SAID THAT... Recently, not only did they raise their prices but they actually couldn't explain the ticket! Turns out they were charging me a dollar more. Then the nasty lady had the audacity to give ME attitude for questioning why the math didn't add up. (27 x 0.90 = $24.30 not $25.30) Now if this is some kind of nonsense one dollar charge for doing business there - then they should say "$0.90/lb, $10 min plus $1 charge for our smile" or whatever - it was total nonsense. Nasty lady, wrong work, AND untrustworthy?? I am done with this place.
