There's a very homely overweight elderly woman with artificially blonde hair who told me an empty duvet slip, sheets and pillow cases was too much for a medium washer. Fix your machines. I have wasted 40 minutes of my time several times. Dryer 13 does NOT heat. And if the attendant cannot handle my feedback and frustration then find someone new. Telling me that the sensor in 13 goes out is not an excuse. read more

I love this place because it's a block away from my neighborhood and machines are cheaper than other laundromats but service is so fucking terrible. The old Latina lady with glasses there thinks she knows everything as if she invented all of the machines. She'll basically tell you where to do your laundry and what machine to use-- no independence at all. ALSO, I left a dryer sheet BY ACCIDENT and I know she muttered a rude comment in Spanish. Lastly, when cleaning the place, she will not respect your space and move all of your stuff WITHOUT ASKING YOU she can clean a tiny bit where you are standing or sitting. The old gentleman (I think HE is the manager) is very helpful but barely around and I wish it's more of him that the old terrible lady. He should really hire someone better than her. Terribly rude staff. They close at 10:30 but at 10:10 pm a short heavy set man started berating me that I needed to take my clothes out the dryer and leave for him to clean. I had even apologized and said "sorry I thought you closed at 10:30" and he continued to raise his voice "I don't care, you need to get out". I only came to dry clothes. He continued berating me and I just stood there in silence because his yelling gave me so much anxiety. I've never been yelled at for abiding the rules in a facility. Definitely don't recommend. My washer and dryer went out, so while I was waiting for the repairman to fix them, I had to use a laundromat. I came this particular one, as it was closest to me at the time. This place is located in a shopping plaza in north Torrance. The plaza is clean and calm, so I figured this laundromat wouldn't be a problem. Indeed, it wasn't. The place is just old. You need quarters to wash and dry your items, but they have an on-site change machine, so this was no issue. Washing took a half-hour, and drying the same. I had two separate loads, which ate up about $6 total. Not too bad. The other patrons here were locals, and no shady characters were around. I just waited in my car most of the time, listening to music and coordinating my next stops. The place has everything one would need out of a laundromat. It's an oldie, but a goodie. read more

This place is located in a shopping plaza where Pizza Hut and The Loft are located. The Loft is just about in front of it across the parking lot. This laundromat is in need of some TLC. From what I saw, there must have been a leak in the roof. Not a big deal, but makes the place look a little unkempt. This place is not sparkling clean, but it also isn't terrible, it's just old. All the washing machines and dryers look like they are in working order. They could use a few more places for people to sit while their laundry is spinning. Needed to wash some stuff that was kind of large to wash in our own washing machine. We used the larger washing machine at $3.25. Not bad, it's about the same price as the one we had been going to. This place wasn't too bad. We stopped going to the one closer to our house because the owner watched us all like a hawk. When my washer barely stopped, the guy was ready to have the contents moved. That's another review waiting to be written. They have machines for ... coins, beverages, snacks, soap & softener, etc. There was an arcade game, but it was either not plugged in or out of order. I was surprised to see a Pay Phone in there... I didn't check it out to see if it was functional. There hours of operation are from 6AM to 10PM. So, if you need to do laundry at your pace, consider coming here. The machines will get the job done. read more

I put my load in before 8:50pm, then put the clothes into the dryer before 9:35pm. The worker comes out at 10pm saying I have 10 min to get my clothes out because he's closing at 10:15pm. I advised him that the sign says the business closes at 10:30pm & my clothes were in the washer before 9pm just like the sign says. He said he doesn't go off the sign, that the alarms go off at 10:20pm and if he's still inside he gets charged a fee for the police coming out on false alarm calls. He then proceeded to say everyone knows that... I replied this is my first time which is why I was going off the sign he posted. read more

i used to love this laundry mat and come here once a week but the past 3 times i've came i've had a bad experience. I came in today with quite a lot of things needed to be washed and i spread them across multiple washes and not over stuffing any of them. once i loaded them the lady that worked there was touching my machine and changing my setting (water temperature and etc) without even asking. then once the loads were done 3/5 of my washes made my clothes smell horrible. i decided to rewash all of them in a different machine and my clothes once again came out not clean. i told the lady that worked there that i had to rewash my clothes because the maschine didn't do a good job and she just shugged it off and recommended a new machine and didn't offer any anything for all the time and money i just lost on bad machines. this place has really gone downhill and please don't go here read more

This place is dirty, machines don't work or even dispense water properly We spent $20 to wash and dry and had to spend even more once we realized that one of the machines didn't even wash our clothes properly. The machines here should be inspected and tagged out if they don't work. Don't make it a guessing game for customers who took the time to come in here. The machines are pretty good and the cleanliness is decent...it is a bit of an older place and it is small but it feels safe and that's what matters to me. They have plenty of large load machines and big dryers. read more

My washer went out so I found this place. Hidden in the little shopping strip off of van ness & Artesia. Right behind the loft & Pizza Hut. The inside was very clean, and the staff friendly. The machines worked fine, and it costs $1.75 per load. My clothes came out clean. I didn't have to use the dryers because my dryer works but I liked how calm it was inside. It wasn't super packed, and the vending machines were filled with your washing needs. It's not a glamorous setting. But it's a laundry mat. It had the old fashion vending machines from the early 80's but honestly it wasn't bad. Plus I was able to order breadsticks from Pizza Hut while I waited for clothes. read more

This place has gotten better than what it used to be. I used to come a few years ago but stopped. I was told by a friend that they now take cards which is convenient if you don't have quarters. Machines have been upgraded and you can use your card for both washer and dryer machines. However beware that they will charge you $7 each load no matter which machine size you use. HORRIBLE PLACE. Worst laundry matt i've ever been to. When I got there, there were already machines that were out of order so I go to one that seems to be working fine. Not only did it not start, I paid the amount it said and it charged me 50 cents more to start. The water did not run at all, and the timer had "started." I was looking for someone but there was no one working on site so there is no one to help. The timer was not going, it was stuck on 30 mins and I was not able to get my clothes out. I pressed the cancel button, nothing was working. I called the regular number and no one answered. I called their "emergency" number multiple times and no one answered, just a recorded message to leave a voicemail. I was stuck there wondering how I was going to get my clothes out, thankfully it stopped after about 25min. I left with wet clothes and the dry ones that did not wash, I was not going to waste more of my money on this trash ass place. Would not recommend at all read more

Omg! Wow! The manager here just approached me today and awkwardly wanted his coins back. I understand there is a coin shortage so I made an offer of $5 back in coins. He continued to approach me outside and I told him do not think about touching me or getting close and we discussed this going in circles but ended up agreeing to the $5 in coins which I offered in the first place. Geez, people need to learn customer service even though it's tough times out there we need to respectfully talk to people. I'm never ever going to wash my clothes here. I used 3 of their $3.50 machines, even paid the extra $$ for heavy duty to get the extra wash time and it seems you get more of the rinse cycle than you do on the wash cycle. This laundry facility is local and inexpensive. I chose it for those reasons. If you're looking for a luxury place to wash clothes, you may have to venture out. My sole purpose was to have clean and dry clothes. The owner stopped by and made sure I was safe since I was one of the last customers to dry my clothes. I could appreciate that. I don't make it a practice to wash clothes in the midnight hour, but I got off work late and this was the only facility that could accommodate me. I was thankful they were open late. read more

All of the dryers work perfect and the machines are reasonably priced. Parking is ample.

This place has become a disappointing dump. Not many coin laundromats in the area, but this place has ran straight to the ground. I've frequented this place for over the last 8 years. To start, dirty, as in overflowing trash containers. Floors haven't been swept in who knows how long. The machines are $1.75 to wash, average. BUT they don't even fill all the way with water. So don't pack in an actual load. I hope the owners get it together. Soon. read more
