My dad died last week and I have been helping my mom get everything sorted…read more If you've never gone through this experience it is quite grueling, on top of being emotional, since there are just so many things to do you are completely at the mercy of each vendor to close everything out, it can be very very stressful. The rep we spoke to earlier in the week instructed we stop into a store as soon as we got dad's death certificate. So we did. However, this was apparently not the process we were supposed to follow. After helping us get customer service on the line again, Heather, the store manager, hearing how our conversation was going with this second service rep, sat with us and helped walk us through everything. When we hung up for the second time we still didn't have the issue resolved, so she called them again with us. After an hour + in the store, my mom was finally good to go. Now, I've been a Verizon customer since I was 16 years old and I stay with them for their customer service, but don't think I have ever had someone so invested in making sure we had the help we needed. I seriously cannot say thank you enough. The kindness and compassion she showed my mom and I, especially sitting with us through two (in store) calls to customer service, after they told us that they couldn't help, was unparalleled. My wife walked over and picked out a phone case that she really wanted...and we stood and watched people for ten minutes. Couldn't figure out if we were supposed to check in or how to check out. There is no register or customer service...just a few folks with a Verizon polo engaged in pleasantries with random folks strewn around the store. How do I get myself into these things? Don't get me wrong--I LOVE brick and mortar. I won't be back here again unless I have no choice, though. They have lost the art of interacting with people, and their accessory inventory is very limited.

It…read moretook me weeks of negotiating with Comcast over the phone to finally get them to give me an RMA so that I could return THEIR equipment. All the time, they were trying to upsell me to not only keep their service, but to upgrade it. FFS, how hard is it to understand that I am CLOSING this office and don't need their internet service or equipment? +++2 months after I finally got the account closed and equipment returned....I got a call from Comcast regarding them having a serice order to MOVE our internet service to another location. NO! It took me like an hour on the phone with them to convince them that we were no longer even a Comcast customer! There was a time, long, long ago, that Comcast used to be an exceptional company. Now, their call centers are staffed out of the U.S., and they have COMPLETELY lost their focus on any sort of customer service or satisfaction.

BEWARE of XFinity / Comcast! Signed up for Internet service @ $60 per month. Several months later,…read morethey DOUBLED my monthly bill from $60 to $124. Never received prior notice of this insane increase. Called multiple times regarding the matter. Each time, I was "referred" to someone else. Finally talked with a rep who said a mention of the increase was on page 3 of statement. Never received statement. Then I was told that I should look up my account online "every" month to verify my monthly bill. I was told that bc I was an existing customer, they could sign me up for SAME svc I was receiving at $60 for only $105. No, thank u.... BOTTOM LINE: If u use XFinity/Comcast, read ur paper bill thru page 3 snd/our check ur bill monthly online so u will know if ur bill will also double. Bye XFinity!

This is not about this particular store, but rather Verizon Wireless as a company…read more Verizon wireless is totally inept. I have an issue with a final bill, I left because of terrible service, and these folks cannot even manage to get this straight. On the first call I was transferred 8 times and wound up being connected to a credit agency and the second time I was transferred 10 times with the same result. Verizon used to be a great company and I was with them for over 15 years, but then they lost sight of their most valuable asset - their customers. I left them and paid all I owed, with a customer service rep taking care of the business. Then all of the sudden I get hit with the $80 charge that was already dealt with. Even though disputed, they have put this on my credit history. That is a bush league move, especially when the customer has ALWAYS paid his bill in a timely manner. Verizon has turned into a predatory company with NO respect for customers. They do not care about the issue and they just say they are right no matter what. Do yourself a big favor and DO NOT ever be associated with this company. There is much better out there at much better rates. They have destroyed 15 years of my loyalty to the point I will never use them for anything ever again. Maybe if someone at Verizon does care they can contact me at mjm7577@gmail.com. I throw that out there but expect no results seeing the way these folks operate. Let's see other firms keep doing better and better - maybe the giant will fall and decay, just like other arrogant firms who thought they were too big to fail.
