    Hall and Oates!
    Deedee W.

We got tickets for Hall and Oates- last of my older bucket list musicians! It is an outdoor event center. We had seats in the upper section which was fine so when people stand up you can still see. I am writing about my experience but I listened to alot of the locals. It was super windy the night we were there and both Hall and Oates were struggling to play and be heard. Locals were saying it gets so windy that they they can close it at the last minute and cancel a concert. We were lucky they played. I really enjoyed the night we were there- but I would caution people on the potential to get cancelled if a good wind whips through the area.

This is a great venue, small, not a bad seat anywhere except it felt a bit unorganized. Several busses drop hundreds of people off at the same time and there is no clear lines to enter the metal detectors. People are cutting lines and the others are lost. Anyway, walk all the way up the hill past the first entrance and enter through the second set of metal detectors. Lines for the drinks are unbelievably long, a few men let me order with them, otherwise it would have taken me over 45 minutes for a few glasses of wine. Drinks are very reasonable here but variety is limited. There is no venue parking and it's best to walk from your hotel, it's about 15-20 minutes at most. All the hotels do offer a complimentary shuttle for their guests. I will definitely be back in a few months for another concert and highly recommended seeing an event here. Enjoy!

This place sucks! All 100s are floor seats with no elevation. Stage isn't very high and big screens are too low. You can't see anything. If you come here, choose the bleachers, in the 200s. Beer and bathroom lines are at least 30 people deep at all times. Beers are aluminum bottles for $10 each or get a bucket of 5 for $48. Water is $5. We took the shuttle from our hotel. They drop you off at a back entrance which is better than the front. After. We walked back to our hotel in the stampede. I recommend trying to see your favorite artist at any other venue than this one.

I just returned from my first experience at the Laughlin Event Center to view the 2014 Professional Bull Riders competition Desert Showdown and the 15/15 Bucking Battle, and have to disagree with the three previous reviewers. My mid-price range seats in Row D of Section 201 in the bleachers provided me and Diane with a very good view of the bull riding action not far from us, and the new metal rows were spacious and of much higher quality than what the former Laughlin Event Center a block away offered on a temporary basis. Instead of portable outhouses and a dirt surface, there are now well-equipped regular restrooms on both sides of the arena, and all seating and public walking areas are on an artificial turf and cement surface. The common windblown dust of years past is gone. And the bull riding event started on time. Prices for food and drink were reasonable, including $6.00 for a Pulled Pork Sandwich and $3.00 for a cold 16.9 oz. bottle of water. I have paid much more for less value at many other sporting events. Of course, it may well be that the view from some seats is better than from others. And, I was watching bull riding--not a lone singer on a stage. I will be able to judge how this new event center stacks up for viewing other types of entertainment when I see Tim McGraw perform here in less than two months at what is already almost a sold out show. While ticket prices to see him at the Laughlin Event Center begin in the $70.00 range for the worst seats, they are a fraction of what it costs to view his performances on Las Vegas stages. So, now that ample free parking is offered at the Preferred Outlets Mall parking lot next door, I am glad that the recently completed Laughlin Event Center is here, and I hope this multi-purpose arena has good staying power to delight locals and tourists alike with live musical entertainment and professional sports competition they would otherwise be much less able to see. As a big bonus, 14 strong bulls were ridden beyond the 8 second mark--the most I have ever observed in one day. And these were top-grade bulls. High-kicking "Wicked" was successfully ridden beyond the 8-second barrier for the first time ever by Eduardo Aparecido. And, we saw two-time champion bucking bull "Bushwacker," arguably the best bucking bull ever, fairly quickly buck off Guilherme Marchi, PBR's third ranked rider coming into this night's competition. On my last bull riding spectating experience, not one bull was ridden long enough for the ride to earn a score from judges.

Ask the Community - Laughlin Event Center

Anyone have pointers on PIT (GA) at the Laughlin Event Center and mid march night time weather? I'll be in PIT for ZBB in March. Thank you in advance. T

Are there ramps or just steps for seating?

There is floor seating which is great and they have areas on the floor for wheelchairs if needed. There is also grandstand seating but no idea if there are ramps.

She stocked wines not usually found in the local stores that were really bargains. The current owners have made further improvements, but continue to offer a fine selection of wines. It gets a louder with the music, but the table within the stacks is quieter as are the patio seats. Let's just say...where has this cover band been all my life?! The five of us got in line at 7:30pm, just to get a good spot on the floor right when the doors opened at 8:00pm. Admission to get in was free and we were allowed to bring in our own water and snacks. A small bar is also located inside. I drove here so I couldn't really drink any alcohol or cocktails, plus I left my water in the car, so I got myself a soda, which was only $3 plus tip. What a deal! Club Madrid is one of the coziest clubs I've been to so far. The surround sound was perfect (not too quiet or too loud) and the dance floor is very spacious. Seeing everybody dance along to their favorite classic rock songs was totally awesome, and I got to dance myself and get up close with the band at one point. As someone who has parents that listened to a bunch of classic rock when I was younger and being hooked onto it ever since, I knew and sang along to every song that they played. Some songs on their set list were Back in Black by AC/DC, Any Way You Want It by Journey, Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. They took the stage at 9:00pm, where they played for about two hours (no intermission) before closing their show with Hot For Teacher by Van Halen. Two people in our meetup group had to leave a little early, but myself and two others stayed for the entire duration of the show. Hint: if you want to see YBR perform, their next show will be at Boulder Station on 4/25/25. They are AMAZING and you will NOT be disappointed.

I enjoyed a Bloody Mary with extra olives. The bartender is fast, friendly, and makes a tasty drink. He keeps a clean and stocked bar. You can tell he enjoys his job. Everyone was singing along with the band and the seats were full. The only draw back on this particular visit was the smoking. I had to leave. I was getting a headache. The ventilation at this time is temporarily hindered due to the wall that is up right behind that area. The Casino is doing a wonderful job of renovating and unfortunately until that area is complete it's not as enjoyable. You must checkout The Sports book! It is amazing. So nice! I'm looking forward to 80's night when the construction is done.

The atmosphere immediately took my wife and me back to our early adult years in the best possible way. The dim lighting, mellow crowd, and music all worked together perfectly, and somehow the playlist felt like it matched the crafted cocktails and overall vibe of the room. One of the things we appreciated most was being able to actually sit together and have a conversation without having to yell over loud music or a packed crowd. It felt relaxed, mature, and genuinely enjoyable--a breath of fresh air compared with so many bars that seem focused more on being loud than creating a good atmosphere. The cocktails were excellent, the bartenders were top-notch, and the entire experience felt thoughtful from beginning to end. If you're looking for a place with a mature vibe, great drinks, good music, and an atmosphere where you can actually enjoy the person you're with, Velveteen Rabbit is a must-visit.

I feel like this place can be easily missed since the building is all black, but definitely worth stopping in for. Vibes are very dark and intimate, yet lively. I am not sure how to explain it, but I liked it. Lol Somehow you can make a reservation, but I haven't looked into it. There were a bunch of seating against the wall on the couches but they were all reserved. My friend and I ended up at the bar in the "standing room" which was fine! Their seasonal menu is Conspiracy Theory based. I from that menu and my drink was called the Moon Landing Hoax, which was recommended to me but pretty strong in my opinion. I will say that the aesthetic of the drink was super cool with the astronaut. My friend ordered from their regular menu. She enjoyed her Repo Espresso Martini and she would order that again! All in all, I still like this bar a lot! I would come back again.
