Blue Heron Bed & Breakfast - The red car is the Inn employee car that hit my Mercedes Benz. The police deemed her at fault.

Home was very cozy, it was obvious that it is maintained with love. In the morning we had nice time at deck on swing. We had breakfast (tea, coffee, oatmeals, fruits, boiled eggs, cookies, waffles). Along with great food, we had nice conversation with owner. He gave us valuable advices regarding islands, what to visit and generally about the life on the island. Definitely would stay here again!

Second, an Inn employee hit my brand new car (Mercedes Benz with 100 miles on it) while I was getting a treatment. As I was leaving, the Innkeeper or Manager laughingly told me my car was hit. I thought it was a joke because he kept laughing and telling jokes. He had not called to report the accident and didn't notify me until I was walking out the door to catch a ferry to go back home (live on island). I finally told the manager (or whoever he was) that thanks, but I wasn't in the mood for humor given the circumstances. I had to call the Police to make a report. The report clearly showed the employee was at fault. Given that we live on an Island, this is going to cost us thousands - not even to mention the huge depreciation on a brand new car. After some consideration, it seemed reasonable that perhaps the Inn would credit my stay given the circumstances. My wife called the Inn and spoke with the manager and owner. At first, they immediately hung up on her saying "we don't have time for this" - she was being very polite. Flabbergasted, she called back, and they said we don't care about your situation or that our employee hit your car. Call the insurance company. They were exceptionally rude about it as well. Finally, there are other accommodation options in La Conner. I highly recommend them over Blue Heron. People like this don't deserve our business.

Our visit started off with having trouble finding the entrance to the restaurant. We finally found…read moresomeone to ask and made our way in.... I think I offended the hostess and waitress after having trouble with their "ring bell for service" bell. We waited a short time in the small entrance and noticed the bell.... Several light taps produced no sound and a more unreserved tap sounded like a fire alarm. The hostess and waitress arrived wide-eyed and I apologized and tried to make light of the awkward meeting... they weren't having it. We were there to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We stated that in our reservation and were given a half hearted "happy anniversary" after being seated in the middle of the dining room, without any view. Several couples after us were seated with views to the water. It was our first time there and we didn't know to ask... In any case, we loved the food when we finally got it - but it took over an hour and a half after ordering to receive our meal. The waitress, Countnee (name on receipt), couldn't have been less interested in serving us. I guess she never got over the bell incident??? She seemed overly nice to others... even comping a bottle of wine for the couple next to us. We didn't even get the short spiel about how the strawberries in the sorbet were grown in their garden.... she told other people, we heard her- but she couldn't be bothered to take the time with us. We spent a lot of money on what could have been an amazing celebratory dinner for our anniversary had the service been even a little better. Get over yourself and have a little fun. The hostess was wearing jeans, this shouldn't have had such a pretentious, snooty vibe. We had friends recommend dinner here and we were disappointed, will never be back. It's the next morning and I'm still wishing we had gone somewhere else. It was our 20th anniversary after all!!!

The bar menu is the same and the wine offerings are fun and not the usual you see at other places. Because they are so amazing they're often very busy, would highly recommend a reservation, however small parties can often be seated in the bar after a short wait, but there's never a guarantee as it is a loc favorite spot.

Large man made drainage waterfall around the back. Breakfasts we're delicious. Nicole was very nice and welcoming. The place is cute, clean, cozy, easy to park. Private entry to room without having to walk through the house. Quiet. I could only give 3 stars tho because the bed was so uncomfortable we both woke up with back/neck aches the first day and the 2nd day at about 4:30 in the morning and just stopped even trying to sleep. Mattress is hard and you always roll towards the middle. Pillows are too thin to tuck between us to keep us from rolling. Lol. I'd love to stay there again but only if there's a new mattress and pillows.

We had the most decadent, flavorful, 5-star French dinner and breakfast that was prepared by chef Nicole using fresh herbs straight from their beautiful garden. We were served by Henri, who also paired a perfect wine with our dinner and kept us entertained with great conversation. Val gave us a full tour of their gorgeous brand new stables, and introduced us to all the horses. We didn't have time for a riding lesson on this trip, but now we know to set some time aside and will be scheduling a lesson for next time. We had booked their least expensive room, but on our arrival Henri informed us that we'd been upgraded to our own private cottage at no additional charge. The cottage has an open floor plan, like a studio apartment, and came equipped with a full size fridge and gas stove/oven. The kitchen cabinets were well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and even essentials like olive oil, so you could easily prepare your own meal (but I definitely recommend Nicole's!). The living room contained a really lovely chess set and a few other games, as well as DirectTV and a stereo. We had our own private hot tub out on the front porch. We really enjoyed sitting outside and looking out at the pond. The whole environment is so serene. The only sounds are crickets and birds. The main thing that really sold it for us was the amazing hospitality - we felt like family. We were only here for one night, but absolutely fell in love with the place and are sure to return. Merci beaucoup, Nicole, Henri, et Val! A bientôt!

Such a stunning setting, wow!…read more I've had the pleasure of visiting Orcas at least once a year since I was a little kid, and finally had the chance to stay at Rosario Resort. While the rooms aren't modern, the views from the Harborside buildings are fabulous. What a lovely spot to sit out on the deck and have a peaceful breakfast. I enjoy walking around the property, and hope to visit someday during the summer to take advantage of the waterside adult swimming pool--one of the best PNW pool views I've seen. (There is a kid-friendly outdoor pool located at the center of the property, and an indoor salt water pool located adjacent to the spa that's open year-round.) The charming mansion is fun to explore, and the restaurant offers tasty menus items (with vegetarian and vegan options, hooray). Although it's fun to stay in different vacation rentals across the island, I'd be happy to come back to Rosario in the future. It's located conveniently close to Cascade Lake and Mountain Lake, plus it's not too much of a drive to get into town.

The mansion was (as people have said) shut down and there was just a bunch of trash outside of it. This also meant no amenities so the advertised pool/hot tub, etc. just not a part of it. -The room itself also has clearly not been updated in a while with old outlets, stained couches, and stained walls from the fire place? Honestly this stuff wouldn't really bother me that much had the price just been wayyyy lower. Hiltons offer way nicer rooms for half the price with real people there to help. I think maybe while they're renovating they should just offer price cuts but oh well. I did ultimately enjoy my stay and will be back to Orcas Island for its cute charm :)
