If I wanted to move forward with the other surgeries, they should follow. He advised that a quote would be emailed, which never arrived. I called the office the following week and the receptionist made excuses for the business manager, who was to forward the quote. She'll be back in the office Monday and you'll receive the details then, yet no email arrived. I called a week later and my calls (phone number) had, apparently, been programmed to go sraight to voicemail automatically. I understand that Dr. Chin didn't want to move forward, but why wouldn't he simply just say this during the consultation, e.g., 'I don't believe you're a good candidate for this procedure.' or 'I don't think I'm the right doctor to proceed with this. Let me recommend someone else.'?? In fact, he ended the consultation with "Yes, we can definitely do this. The front desk will provide a quote and schedule, if you want to proceed." Based on this experience, he and his front desk staff were lieing to my face (and ears), which was both frustrating and incredibly unprofessional. If Dr. Chin didn't want to do it, he should just say so and/or have his staff advise. At least, he could show a little respect for others. He should not take people's money (the consultation fee isn't cheap), then lie to them and have your staff lie, as well. If you want an MD like this, he'll happily take your money! I'd rather trust my surgeon, one with integrity and basic respect for potential clients (patients).

He was realistic and upfront about what limitations existed due to my facial anatomy, and what would be safe and flattering in the long term. I appreciate how personalized my consult felt, and that my surgical plan fit me rather than whatever nose is "trendy". Despite the significant changes made to my nose during my rhinoplasty, I didn't even bruise! I'm healing well, and I couldn't have asked for better results! I cannot stress enough how wonderful Dr. Ransom's team is. As someone who is usually a bit nervous with medical procedures, I really appreciate how empathetic and attentive his team is. Holly and Emily were very responsive and helpful with scheduling, notes, etc. Yesenia was amazing at answering all of my questions about my prescriptions and aftercare. Patricia is so kind, and I feel very grateful she was there for me pre/post-op. I would enthusiastically recommend Ransom M.D. to other rhinoplasty seekers!

Although I had my procedure done early 2025, I had to write this review because my experience at…read moreDr. Ransom's office has been haunting me. I needed a blepharoplasty for my heavy eyelids and found Dr. Ransom on Yelp listed as an excellent, kind, friendly doctor. The consultation was great, Dr. Ransom listened to exactly what I wanted, assured me that not too much would be removed and was very kind. I felt like I was going to be in good hands. A woman at the office took me into another room, showed me some before and after pictures, (though I'm not sure she made note of which ones I liked), and I asked how long is the recovery time, she said "Oh just a week, you can have your procedure Monday and stitches removed Friday." Great, I took a week off. Monday, the day of procedure, before the procedure, we were in a room and Dr. Ransom was getting things together in a rush. I was surprised he didn't confirm what we talked about or go over what he about to do. So I said, "just a little off eyelids and subtle right?" He just said "right" as he was assembling things. I asked "can you please go over the procedure?" and he did. At the beginning of the procedure, his Assistant placed a slightly adhesive pad on the side of my belly, (to monitor my vitals during the procedure). He injected anesthetic around my right eye, then my left eye, (though I noted that he didn't inject/spend as much time injecting my left eye). The procedure was going well, I felt no pain as he starting on my right eye, (though it was unsettling that Dr. Ransom and his Assistant were having casual conversation while working on my eyes-I know he must have done this procedure hundreds of times before, but still - this is my face). Towards the end, Dr. Ransom spent a good amount of time with the stitches on my right eye, but when he started on my left eye, I really felt pain, said it really hurts and "Ow." I realized he must have run out of anesthetic in his syringe when he got to my left eye and just didn't bother to get another syringe. Instead of stopping to give me more anesthetic, he just kept saying, "we're almost done, we're almost done." After reeling from that, his Assistant proceeded to slowly tear off the adhesive pad on my belly, (which is slightly hairy), and I yelped "Ouch!" I was too caught off guard to tell him to just rip the pad off like a bandaid and the Assistant kept saying "sorry, sorry" as he continued to slowly tear off the pad. After I continued to say "ouch, ouch!", Dr. Ransom said, "Oh your little hairs." So in addition to being in pain, I'm now belittled. Feeling terrible from this, I got dressed, shuffled to the Receptionist and scheduled stitches to removed that Friday. Close to Friday, the Receptionist called me to say my appointment was moved to Monday. I said but I took this week off and have to go back to work Monday. She said the doctor said I would get better results if I waited a couple more days to have the stitches removed. It seemed like a lie because why did they have schedule the appt for Friday originally? Silence from her, implying there is nothing I can do about it. Following the appointment, to minimize scars, I was to have 3 small laser zaps at the ends of each eye, administered by the Assistant. I have deep horizontal creases at the ends of my eyes, (had them for a long time), and I asked the Assistant if there was a procedure to address those. He said maybe some filler can help with the "canyons." I had to laugh at the exaggeration and cruelty of the term. I looked at him when he said it and I honestly believe he wasn't trying to be mean, that really was the word that came to his mind. Although ultimately results of the blepharoplasty were perfect, due to the experiences above, I just can not bring myself to go back to that office. I do believe Dr. Ransom is kind, it just may be another situation of having too many clients lined up back-to-back.

After three previous…read morerhinoplasties and dealing with my overly crooked nose and deviated septum, I expected him to tell me--like other plastic surgeons had over the years--to leave my flawed nose alone. To my surprise, after his assistant took pictures from all angles and he examined my nose, he said he could help me and that I was a good candidate! Two months ago, I underwent revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Kim, and I'm extremely happy with the results. He guided me every step of the way regarding what to expect from the surgery. Firstly, he informed me that my nose would be swollen and appear "big" for several months and that it might take up to 1-2 years to settle into its expected shape. He also mentioned that some asymmetry would remain, but that it would be significantly improved. Even while still swollen, I can see a huge improvement, and I've already received compliments from three friends about my new nose. I can breathe better now and have less sinus discharge. Most importantly, I no longer feel self-conscious about my nose. Each day, it seems to be getting a bit smaller, which is exciting. The renditions he provided of what my new nose would look like closely match how my nose appeared right after surgery before the swelling began. I would recommend Dr. Kim to anyone unhappy with their nose. I only wish I had found him sooner.

The LCSG is not placed correctly on that side and probably needs a revision. The nostrils are not even and he shortened my nose. He had the nerve to accuse me of having BDD and said 90% of his patients have BDD - when in reality he just didn't want to take fault for his lack of aesthetics. I do not recommend Dr Kim for revision rhinoplasty. I wish I had studied his before and afters longer and trusted my gut when his morph looked terrible. I avoid mirrors and still get nausea from the total identify loss his lack of communication and style has caused me. He took liberties on things we never talked about. Worst part is my breathing is still not better after enduring 6.5 hour surgery.

Well, she still is. Dr. Rodan came highly recommended by physicians all around the Bay Area. The day I was referred and the night before my appointment, I saw her infomercial for Proactiv for the first time (this was in 1995). Her product created with Dr. Kathy Fields was fairly new on the market and was already very successful. I went in to see her not knowing what I was going to get. Was Judith Light going to welcome me at the door? Dr. Rodan instantly earned my respect when, as a patient in her office, she didn't try to sell me Proactiv. In fact, she said for me NOT to use it. I knew at this moment she was there for my interests and not hers. I can go on and on about her professional achievements and accolades (she is truly amazing), but I think it's important for people to know that, with all her commercial success, she never "sold out." She is first and foremost a physician. (And, a damn good one.) A perfect blend of intelligence, experience, and bedside manner, Dr. Rodan listens and cares. If you need a dermatologist, she is my #1 recommendation. And, if you act now, she'll throw in the bill for free! Fast forward to this year, I read that Dr. Rajagopal was the number one Renuva provider in the country and her website stated that numbing cream was used. I was terrified of more pain but hopeful that this experience would be less painful. At this office, numbing cream was literally applied to my face for 30 minutes and then ice was applied afterwards. Although the injections were still painful, they were much more tolerable. Dr. Rajagopal has a gentle hand, a kind demeanor, and good aesthetic sense. I've seen four other different plastic surgeons but Dr. Rajagopal has given me the most faith in doctors. I wish that I had known about her earlier. I would definitely come here for Renuva injections or other treatments as needed. They are not inexpensive at 2500 for 3 cc. Dr. Rajagopal clearly cares about people and their comfort. This is very important as any surgery or injection is a stressful experience so bedside manners and genuine concern is priceless. The only odd thing was that I was presented the bill during numbing by a staff member. Payment is expected after treatment and I knew the cost beforehand so it was strange to get the bill during the middle of the procedure and then after the procedure again. I would have been happy to pay in advance if they are worried about people leaving without paying. In any case, the office staff was nice. There was easy and free private parking provided. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Rajagopal for her keen aesthetic eye and caring demeanor.
