My friend came to visit, and we decided to go to Latitudes for a quick bite since we didn't want to drive far. The place was nicely decorated for the holidays and they also had live music. We chose to sit outside and the service was smooth. I ordered the salmon which was delicious and perfectly moist, though my quinoa was a bit bland to my taste. My friend enjoyed his shrimp dish. My only critique is that our server came as we were having our last bites to ask if she could bring the check, rather than asking if we wanted anything else. I was actually planning to order another class of that Chardonnay, but I went to the wine bar next door for it. Our server was very young and sweet, so perhaps just need a little more experience. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

    1lb peel n eat shrimp

Had a pretty disappointing outing at Latitudes. It was around 1pm on Saturday we went in for lunch, and the place was dead. About 12 people in the place. After ordering our food, it took over 40 minutes for it to come out, and by that time only 4 other people remained in the restaurant. When we asked about what the delay was we were ignored multiple times. We were told it was our peel n eat shrimp APPETIZER they were waiting on. Anyone who has made shrimp knows it takes minutes to cook and an immediate ice bath to cool down. It was very frustrating. Additionally the smashed burger came out lukewarm and the expectation with a smash burger is that it's smashed (thin) but these were rather thick and slightly pink inside. The fries were also very salty. The shrimp were however very good and fresh, but that was about it.

    Traditional breakfast

Here on a Sunday because they have a brunch menu, The menu has about 10 to 15 options approximately and I went with the traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast. I have to say it was very delicious and I received just enough. My wife went with the breakfast burger which has an egg and bacon with a side of breakfast potatoes. It was a nice size burger that my wife was only able to eat a few bites. Our friends dining with us ordered chicken & waffles and shrimp & grits. They both said that their meals ( not pictured ) were delicious and the one thing that was pleasant was the chicken is a boneless breast. The service was very good and the bill was about what I thought it would be. If in Apollo Beach it's definitely worth trying

We had a great dinner here on an early Sunday evening. We shared Wonton Wrapped Shrimp - yummy. I chose the "build your bowl" with Salmon, rice, spinach. Lots of bowl choices, and mine was very good. He got the fried shrimp plate with rice and green beans. Nice big shrimp, delicious. Maria was our server - friendly, excellent. Ambiance is intimate, sports bar, tables, high tops, bar side. Had the games on. Nice big menu. Affordable. Recommend for sure .

Awesome Sunday brunch and food and staff in general are great. It can be a bit loud inside when a band is playing, but always a great time.

The food lastnight was a very nice surprise. It was excellent. The grouper bites were amazing. The star the night. Very light, crispy and fresh. Cesar was very good. The people are also very nice even if service is a little slow. Okay, now to the meat of what you're interested in: the food. If the food were 50% cheaper you'd probably be willing to overlook its shortcomings for the ambiance. There's little seasoning to be found on anything so everything is bland. Even the fries are completely lacking in salt. The grouper was breaded nicely and cooked properly but it was almost tasteless. The bacon carried my wife's Crab BLT because everything was so bland for her. The lobster dip appetizer had uncooked Parmesan sprinkled on the bread that was neither bruschetta nor dipping bread so it just didn't work well as an appetizer either. Overall, there's a better restaurant literally next door that's a little cheaper and I can't see coming back after such a disappointing outing.

They're made with honey... and honey, they're gooood! They're magical-and after an extra long work week, they were also medicinal. Finn's sits right on the water, in Apollo Beach. It's tucked back in a residential area, not far off U.S. 41, right next to Circles. We were there at 12;30 on a Friday afternoon and parking was already scarce. (I can't imagine weekend nights) But don't let that hold you back. This is a fun spot-with inside dining-a huge covered deck and two other outside areas-all with great views. The food and bar menus have enough temptations to keep you coming back for that alone. The blackened mahi was cooked well and not too spicy. It comes with pineapple pico-that was balanced-not overwhelmed by onions. And the fries were really good-nice crunch-came out piping hot. And don't forget the Brussels (I sure won't!) I thought $21.99 was a fair price for the generous portion of fish and two sides (they have a large sides selection!) The drinks were good-nice kick, but not too strong--just right. I hadn't had a rumrunner in *years but suddenly had a craving for one. I knew it would be sweet-and it was-but I liked it. The key lime colada (made with Rumchata coconut!) was very sweet but really good. The perfect dessert. The vibe is casual, laid back and fun. Service was warm and super efficient. Amanda always knew just when to check in. It was the perfect April day to be out on the deck. It's a great spot to laugh with friends or just chill out and slow down. I'm all for all of it. Finntastic!

First impression was a little suspect because it's clearly a house turned restaurant/bar. Once we got inside though, I loved the charm of it. There are different rooms you walk through and they have it all set up with tables and chairs....all different kinds so it's a modge podge of tables. Then there are cool chandeliers over the tables and bar signs everywhere. Our waitress was a new implant to Florida and she was super sweet and helpful. She also made a mean vodka tonic! Ok so let's get to the food. First we ordered the Fried Alligator Bites and the Fried Green Tomatoes as appetizers and they were both delicious! The alligator wasn't super chewy and the voodoo sauce was banging! I went with the Shrimp and Grits and sheesh I was blown away! I loved the texture and the taste of the grits. They had just the right amount of cheese and the shrimp were cooked perfectly! The hubby got the Grouper Tacos and he said they were good but a little dry. He wished they had some more toppings...either sauce or pico de gallo. My daughter got the mussel pasta. She loved the mussels but was disappointed by the penne pasta. She wished it was a bit saucier as it only had a lemony/wine liquid that wasn't sticking to the pasta. All in all this place was good. We will go at least once more since it's by where we're staying and I want to try a couple more things on the menu.
