Ashley was working this morning and was very happy to share some news of their uniquely delicious dessert options. If you are a dessert person and dine out then you know how boring it can't be in the Tampa area. You get the same old lava cake, key lime pie, Apple something with caramel drenched on it and the peanut butter pie and cheesecake. Well finally the Bistro decided to take it up a notch and get a lemon cello cake, a chocolate torte. So for a short time if one of these desserts appeals to you hurry over before they are gone. My family and I visited for lunch after we visited the manatee visitor center since it was close by and recommended by others. When we arrived, we were the only people in the restaurant, but the server was really friendly and happy to see us. We grabbed a booth large enough for the 6 of us and looked over the menu. Our server brought over some water and offered other drinks and gave us some recommendations whenever we were ready to order. I saw the flatbread on the menu and knew it would be just perfect portion and flavor. Nothing else on the menu matched what I was hungry for since I didn't want anything too heavy. This was our first time having dinner here; the previous two visits were for lunch. The atmosphere is calm, and many of the guests seem to be regulars. Our server was sweet and personable. I truly enjoy this restaurant and have never had a bad meal here. It does not hold a lot of tables but there is a separate room if you have a larger group. The specials have always been excellent. I make a point to eat here every winter. read more

Dinner with group of 8 , sat in a separate room with golf simulator screen ?? Ordered seafood risotto which was very good - 6 large tender shrimp in a light creamy risotto , not pastie .. just the right texture . I haven't been here for years and friends suggested we stop for dinner. I don't believe the inside has changed at all, which isn't a good thing. The menu is fairly limited and they do have daily specials. Our server wasn't very happy to be serving us but since we were her only table you think she would have been. I started out with the soup special which was red pepper Gouda. When I asked her to describe it she said she didn't know as she hadn't tried it . The soup arrived nice and hot and was extremely good. She should have tried it. I ordered the salmon with risotto and vegetable of the day. Food arrived timely and was hot, which are both pluses for me. The salmon was so dry and there was so little sauce on top that it was not a good choice. The risotto had very little flavor. I should have stopped at the soup. read more

I can't believe I've been living around for so long and never went to Apollo's Bistro until last night. Last night, my friends and I went for dinner, and we had a great time. I usually see their sign but always thought it's a community kind of place, but it's a nice restaurant. Our server Steph was nice and took great care of us. We enjoyed our drinks: Margarita and wine. They even let us try one of their seasonal drinks, a pumpkin beer, but the Margarita won. It seems like everyone enjoyed their meal: steak, chicken, and flatbread. We did love our desserts. In general, we had a great time, and the ambiance was nice. I had a 50% off my appetizer for checking in, which was a bonus. I will definitely come back! read more

I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich and it was A+. Perfect blackening, perfect char on the bun, and very fresh lettuce/tomato. It met every standard I've set for gulf fresh seafood. Shame on us for living here over a year and not knowing Bout this place. It's certainly hidden off the traveled path, but worth the find. It's a large open seating concept attached to a children's Recreation/Day care center. The menu isn't overly large but some of the offerings are quite unique. Dinner uses the same menu but there are dinner specials available. Full bar and an exciting cocktail menu. Staff (our one lone waitress) took good care of us, explained then menu and provided her recommendations. The food was excellent on both ends and the Burger Bowl a unique twist on French onion soup and fries. Don't pass this up if you get the chance. read more

She offered it with other sides with no mention of it being extra. I also didn't like that there were bones in the grouper sandwich. You must throw the whole fish in the fryer. This is a hidden gem in Apollo Beach! Right off Apollo Beach Blvd near a fitness center. It's very hidden, so you have to be sure you pay attention when driving to this place :) We attended here for a birthday dinner for my mom and we were a big group of 12. Our server was great. She was very prompt and attentive. We started off drinks of course ! Beer, sangria, margaritas and wine. Then we ordered some apps! The egg-rolls, baskets of bread, calamari, the blue cheese chips and the artichoke. Everything was delicious! The calamari was probably my favorite appetizer by far. They cooked it just right and the flavor was amazing ! For our entrees, the kids ordered cheeseburgers and hotdogs. The adults ordered, the steak, grouper sandwich, chicken entree, spaghetti and a shrimp pasta. The entrees were decent. This was our second time, returning today with our Thunderbird Car Club for our monthly meeting. The meeting area was set impeccably for us. Our hostess Skyler attended to our every need with incredible style without caving under pressure and everyone raved about the food! Thank you for one of the best meetings we've ever had. I had dined here back in October and had a great experience; food was fresh and service was great. Unfortunately, my last visit in February, and our visit last night was nowhere close to the same experience. I don't usually complain about the atmosphere of a restaurant as long as my food and service were adequate but between the WAY OVERSERVED bar guests and the two (I believe were employees on the clock) sitting at a table in the bar area during dinner service, it just seemed like there's no management encouraging a positive atmosphere. Our server Sara was good, but we watched her have to go ask the bartender to make her drinks who was too busy hanging out with her friend at a table in the bar area. We have been in here before and have seen the same bartender with long pink hair sitting at the bar and other employees have to go ask her to get up to make their customers beverages. Our last visit she just simply told the boy server to go get it himself as she couldn't be bothered to get up and do it. Sara did what she could last night to give us a good experience but from what we observed the other employees had no accountability and there was no manager around to make sure the customers were a. not being grossly overserved, and b. make sure the employees are actually working. The lady at the bar who was beyond drunk was loud, obnoxious, and no one seemed to care that she affected the experience of the few other tables that came in. That bartender is solely to blame for allowing her to become belligerent. FIRE the pink haired "bartender" (if that's what you call what she was "doing") girl, we have never watched a bartender consecutively leave her bar area to go sit down, especially while other employees are trying to get their customers served!!!! She is a liability waiting to happen and overall, a bad look for the establishment. read more

We were lucky enough to see an ad in a local paper that they were open for Brunch. That sounded good to our group of 7. We had no trouble at all getting a table which rather surprised us, since it had a great reputation for dinner. We walked in about 9:00 AM and it was empty. We learned that this was the first time they were open for Brunch since COVID! Brunch was excellent - all 7 of us were pleased with our meals! I got sausage gravy over eggs.
