9/11 - 25 Yrs. Remembering those we lost & never forgetting that day! So we gather here at Latitudes w/ our friends from NJ.
Karen A.

New to the Apollo Beach area from New Jersey in close proximity to Manhattan, where we have unlimited choices of excellent eateries so to find a great place to bring our friends the first night they arrived, for a quick, fun night, Latitutes was the right choice. Every one of our six meals was delicious. All of your gals are friendly and professional including the young lady we had on Friday, Sept. 11th, she helped with the selections when asked. Not one complaint. From the oystappetizers to the choices for dinner. Everyone was completely satisfied, some took home doggie bags and couldn't wait to have them again and the drinks were top notch. Kudos to the bartend. The icing on the cake was the music entertainment of the night, the Woods Brothers. We really lucked out because they had us from the first note. They did everything from John Denver to the Doors and we and the whole venue were blown away by their talent all night long. We didn't leave until they did. It was a great night all around. Thanks Latitudes, it was our 5th time and now your our home away from all homes.

My friend came to visit, and we decided to go to Latitudes for a quick bite since we didn't want to drive far. The place was nicely decorated for the holidays and they also had live music. We chose to sit outside and the service was smooth. I ordered the salmon which was delicious and perfectly moist, though my quinoa was a bit bland to my taste. My friend enjoyed his shrimp dish. My only critique is that our server came as we were having our last bites to ask if she could bring the check, rather than asking if we wanted anything else. I was actually planning to order another class of that Chardonnay, but I went to the wine bar next door for it. Our server was very young and sweet, so perhaps just need a little more experience. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

1lb peel n eat shrimp

Had a pretty disappointing outing at Latitudes. It was around 1pm on Saturday we went in for lunch, and the place was dead. About 12 people in the place. After ordering our food, it took over 40 minutes for it to come out, and by that time only 4 other people remained in the restaurant. When we asked about what the delay was we were ignored multiple times. We were told it was our peel n eat shrimp APPETIZER they were waiting on. Anyone who has made shrimp knows it takes minutes to cook and an immediate ice bath to cool down. It was very frustrating. Additionally the smashed burger came out lukewarm and the expectation with a smash burger is that it's smashed (thin) but these were rather thick and slightly pink inside. The fries were also very salty. The shrimp were however very good and fresh, but that was about it.

Wonton Wrapped Shrimp

We had a great dinner here on an early Sunday evening. We shared Wonton Wrapped Shrimp - yummy. I chose the "build your bowl" with Salmon, rice, spinach. Lots of bowl choices, and mine was very good. He got the fried shrimp plate with rice and green beans. Nice big shrimp, delicious. Maria was our server - friendly, excellent. Ambiance is intimate, sports bar, tables, high tops, bar side. Had the games on. Nice big menu. Affordable. Recommend for sure .

Traditional breakfast
Jonathan S.

Here on a Sunday because they have a brunch menu, The menu has about 10 to 15 options approximately and I went with the traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast. I have to say it was very delicious and I received just enough. My wife went with the breakfast burger which has an egg and bacon with a side of breakfast potatoes. It was a nice size burger that my wife was only able to eat a few bites. Our friends dining with us ordered chicken & waffles and shrimp & grits. They both said that their meals ( not pictured ) were delicious and the one thing that was pleasant was the chicken is a boneless breast. The service was very good and the bill was about what I thought it would be. If in Apollo Beach it's definitely worth trying

Good food and excellent service. A bit too noisy for me during their busy hours. Enjoyable during their off times.

Fantastic happy hour 11 to 6. $2.75 beer, $3 mix drinks. The food was nothing I'd write home over.

Food is ok. Love music most nights of the week. Seems to have a regular clientele. We ordered a bowl of sangria and it was $25. Yikes!

Service was pretty good, our server was very friendly and helpful, but they seemed to be pretty busy so he didn't come around too much (which we also appreciated, as it was just enough space and attention). Food was better than I expected! All of the dishes were well-cooked and flavorful, the drinks (mango margarita) were a bit strong but loved, and nothing was too salty or too bland. We started with a dozen oysters which were very fresh and slightly chewy (different from northern oysters that I usually have), then had the cod, crab cakes, and snapper, all with well-paired sauces and great sides (the snapper was slightly overcooked). Everyone got complimentary sunset shots as the sun was dipping towards the horizon, and we finished off with a giant slice of key lime pie (that we couldn't quite fit in so we took back because it was too good to waste). Overall good experience and will definitely be back to try more!

I hate to rate them this low. However, my grouper was cool, not lukewarm, but cool. The Grouper was…read morerather dry, and that was frustrating. I tasted more filling than crab in my small crabcake. The veggies were cool. However, the sauce was rather tasty. My wife had a similar experience. I also ordered the Key Lime. If you've seen many of my hundreds of reviews, I love me some Key Lime. Look, I became hungry just thinking about a slice. Regrettably, this Key Lime was disappointing in taste. The rather larger crust could've been outstanding, but alas, it too was plain. My daughter enjoyed her chicken salad but didn't like the salty fries. My mother-in-law didn't believe her Snapper meal was Snapper. She said it was moist. Yet, she said it was okay. Disclaimer: The Server was great, but she was taking care of a group of 14 people. The people who came out to help her deliver the food were ok. We asked several times whether the "Catch of the Day" was the Flounder. We were repeatedly told, "No." It was. Consequently, those who ordered it also had cooler food. I believe those issues contributed to the food temperature. This place came highly recommended. In short, I wasn't pleased with paying $164 for three mediocre meals. I encourage you to try them out. I plan on taking my wife back there on August 27 to give them another chance. I'm certain it'll be much better.

(Also iykyk BTS members were here too :DD) We arrived around 3 PM, and the restaurant was super busy and packed. I was expecting a wait but we got seated right away. Initially, we asked to sit outside and it was really nice at first. The breeze and fresh air in the shade were definitely 10/10. But as the afternoon went on, the sun got much hotter and the seagulls became absolutely VICIOUS LOLL, so we ended up asking to move inside. The staff were so accommodating and let us pick whichever table we wanted, which I really appreciated. Now onto the food, WOW was the first word that came out of my mouth the portions are HUGE. There were a lot of great options to choose from, but I ended up getting the grilled lobster mac and cheese. The portion was HEFTY. I ate so much, yet it still looked like I barely made a dent in the bowl lol. The flavor was good, but it was saltier than I expected, and the more I ate, the more noticeable the saltiness became. I didn't catch the names of my friends' dishes, but they all really enjoyed their meals. Overall, it's a great spot with amazing views, generous portions, and great service. I'd love to come back again in the future!

Neon Bud Light signs buzz like angry hornets, keeping time with some golf tournament droning on a TV screen. There's a skeleton dressed up like a bartender holding a plastic cup, which is about as honest as the service gets. I sat down at a lightly sticky table with my dog. I snagged the perfect table upon the disembarking of the sloppy family with thrir soda splasung dloppy mannerisms. They let me hide Iris under the table. That big, brown hound of mine. Parked underneath the food and drink, looking at me with more loyalty than any woman I ever knew. I ordered a drink that came in a glass tall enough to drown your sorrows in, topped with a lime slice that had seen better decades. The menu offered up everything from gator bites to oysters, standard grease-trap poetry to line the stomach before the booze takes over. Outside, the world keeps spinning in its pathetic, sunny circle. Inside, you just sit there with your glass, listening to the ice melt, wondering how the hell you ended up in a joint named after a reptile in the middle of nowhere. It's not much, but it's a chair, it's cold, and nobody's asking you any questions. First impression was a little suspect because it's clearly a house turned restaurant/bar. Once we got inside though, I loved the charm of it. There are different rooms you walk through and they have it all set up with tables and chairs....all different kinds so it's a modge podge of tables. Then there are cool chandeliers over the tables and bar signs everywhere. Our waitress was a new implant to Florida and she was super sweet and helpful. She also made a mean vodka tonic! Ok so let's get to the food. First we ordered the Fried Alligator Bites and the Fried Green Tomatoes as appetizers and they were both delicious! The alligator wasn't super chewy and the voodoo sauce was banging! I went with the Shrimp and Grits and sheesh I was blown away! I loved the texture and the taste of the grits. They had just the right amount of cheese and the shrimp were cooked perfectly! The hubby got the Grouper Tacos and he said they were good but a little dry. He wished they had some more toppings...either sauce or pico de gallo. My daughter got the mussel pasta. She loved the mussels but was disappointed by the penne pasta. She wished it was a bit saucier as it only had a lemony/wine liquid that wasn't sticking to the pasta. All in all this place was good. We will go at least once more since it's by where we're staying and I want to try a couple more things on the menu.
