We already had darker hardwoods in our entry way and kitchen and they installed new hardwoods in our dinning room, office and family room. We decided to go with a lighter color wood, and they got the new floors level with the old and made the colors match. H&R was not the cheapest quote we got, but they weren't the most expensive either. But of all the quotes we received it was obvious Howard knew more about hardwoods than the others. We are so happy we went with H&R. When they finished, my wife noticed a few minor issues and Howard and his team were there the next day addressing them. He did not haggle with us or try to get out of addressing them, all he said was "I'll take care of it". You can't ask for anything more than that. We asked this company to paint a couple of rooms, tile a bathroom, and fix some water spots. He was able to have his crew come out and start work within a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The crew used the cheapest possible plastic tarps over our carpet. They didn't stay down, and as a result, there is paint on carpets throughout the room. They didn't put tarps down at all in the other rooms, and left paint on the hardwood floor in our foyer. There are several places (like around electrical sockets) where they completely failed to paint. The crew also tried to simply paint over the water spots rather than actually repair them as had been agreed. I pointed out these issues to Mr Joseph on our walkthrough. He assured me that he would be back the following week to fix them himself. From that point forward, the excuses began to flow in and he has never shown up to remedy any of the issues (despite providing new dates along the way). After our initial meeting, I had high hopes for Home Pro Remodeling. After this experience, I would recommend finding someone else to do any work in your home or business.

The salesman stated the flooring was good quality & there would be no problems with the installation or flooring. The flooring has not met the quality or installation standards expected. It has been over a year since installation, and the warranty has expired. I called in August 2025 to ask if someone could come out and check the flooring since it is bulking up in several areas. I was told it would be $200 for an assessor to come out and check. We agreed to pay the fee for the assessor. He came out and had an unprofessional attitude when he arrived. He said it would be three or four days before we received any info. I was finally told by a Kimberlin, customer service rep. it will be $2,759 to fix the bulking floors. I wrote a letter to the corporate office, Nov. 2025 explaining we saved for this flooring and it's not fair to pay additional funds for this project. Corporate office responded the flooring can be fixed for $1,300 instead of $2,579. My husband is a disabled vet and I'm retired. We've already paid $7,000 for flooring plus $1,200 for ply wood for the family room in order to make the flooring level. I don't understand why we're asked to pay additional money when this is clearly not our fault. I am very disappointed since the salesman assured us this is quality flooring. The flooring neither the installation are quality products. The flooring is continuing to bulk up and looks tacky. I am embarrassed to have this flooring in my home. I expected this company would stand behind the product and installation. This is not the case with Empire Today. I had vinyl flooring installed 10 yrs ago in my dining room by another company and it still looks good. BEWARE OF EMPIRE TODAY
