Wow, Wow, Wow! Two different locals at two different times told us we had to go there for the Tequila Oyster shooters with chili, lime and coriander. They were not wrong. In fact, we ordered 2 more. They were that good! Charity was the friendly, wonderful server that made our experience even better. The 70 day aged Scotch Fillet was prepared to perfection. The Swordfish special was unbelievable. Fish was so flavorful, perfectly seasoned and prepared that I am now ruined for any other swordfish. Hats off to the chef. The accompaniment of pearl couscous risotto (minus the chorizo by request) with mussels was so very good that it could stand alone as its own dish. Seemingly pricey at first glance but not at all at first taste and the sight beautiful presentation. Worth every penny!!!! We were there on a very steamy day. We found respite at the high top tables at the bar where a fabulous cross breeze made us quite comfortable. read more

A great place down at the harbor. Could use some renovations. They definitely have regulars. A lot of seafood. Really wasn't to hungry so had a cheese plate and salad. Maybe a little over priced and service was a little slow. Overall good. read more

Visited Coffs Harbour for the first time and saw this restaurant written up as having good seafood. I love all things seafood so I showed up without a reservation. Alessandro greeted me and found what turned out to be the last available table. He walked me thru their menu including the "fresh off the boat" Specials. I ordered his favorite, Cerviche made with fish not shellfish - just wonderful! Very fresh, crisp tastes, wonderful mix of textures. He recommended a Margaret-River Sauvignon Blanc that went perfectly with the cerviche; flinty, waxy, almost a gruner. Then came the whole grilled stripped bass. Again perfectly cooked with lemon, butter and not much else. Exactly as it should be - straightforward and delicious. He suggested a Grillo white from Sicily that was a perfect Compliment. Allesandro knows his wines so ask and take his recommendations. I saved some off my S Blanc to have with 4 local oysters ( my dessert). I loved them. And I'm a big oyster foodie so I'm critical but these were wonderful. One more glass of the Grillo with a coffee to finish a perfect dinner. It is a casual place as a beach/seafront restaurant ought to be. The next night my customers booked to take me here again! When I said I had been the night before they offered to change but I said no as there were other dishes waiting to be tried. This time I started with the oyster and re-proved how good they were. Then the yellowfin tuna for my entree. It had a bit of a Asian-fusion influence but was, again, wonderful. I again had the Sauvignon Blanc with the oysters and asked our waitress to ask Alessandro for his recommendation for the tuna - a Pinot Grigio. Great. When I thanked him later he said the choice was the Pinot or a light red but chse the Pinot since I clearly enjoyed my whites. So I give Latitude 30 5 stars for its food and for Alessandro. For coastal views, people watching and great seafood. Consistently good quality food fare. I've always enjoyed a meal here by the water and the bustling boardwalk. The service can be hit and miss and they have missed out on dessert orders and patronage after stuffing up bookings. read more

We just called in for coffee with a couple of locals. It was mainly to see the view. I would have liked to have tried their food but we were really here at coffee time. We sat at the back looking at the traffic rather than the water, which was an excellent view. I soon realised why we HAD to have a coffee here as our guides are very needy when it comes to soy, low fat etc etc chai or coffee. The barista here catered to those needy people. My ordinary cappuccino was good. I wasn't tempted by a cake but my dining buddies were, and devoured them with gusto. read more

4.6 If you love great local seafood and wonderful wines in a perfect daytime or evening setting at reasonable prices, then this is your place. We loved it. We received a lovely greeting on arrival. We immediately noticed the lovely sea view from the restaurant. My gin and tonic to start was great as were my companions' cocktails, the Jimmy Choo and a Jamaican Cool Aid respectively. My loved one started the meal with gin cured ocean trout. She declared it magnificent and said it went fantastically with the Jimmy Choo. 50c and I had the seafood mezze, a combination of oysters, Balmain bugs, smoked salmon and prawns with a seafood mouse and crostini. We had this because we were too timid to order the seafood platter in view of cost as the world's most beautiful woman is suddenly on an economy drive. Bottom line, our decision was inspired. This is just a fantastic dish. The seafood is magnificent. So fresh and full of flavour. We'd prepared our own meal at $20 a head from the Seafood Co-op the day before. We'd never do that again. We'd go to Latitude 30 instead. The seafood mezze was $30. It was about 25 times better than the ordinary seafood we'd got from the Co-op. The senior server at Latitude 30 told us why that was so. The restaurant gets the pick of the seafood and gosh it shows. The seafood mezze was so good, I couldn't work out what to finish with as every seafood piece was superb. I had the swordfish special for main. This comprised a superbly cooked fillet on chat potatoes with broccoli and beans. I expected a fairly small dish. It's the opposite. It is a very generous main. A large fillet and no less than five potatoes and ample vegetables as well. We didn't really need our sides of hand cut chips and seasonal greens. The swordfish was a delicious dish. The food was presented and cooked superbly. Not just the fish. The veggies were beautiful. Hot and flavoursome with just that right amount of residual crispness. Now, whoever put the wine list together really really knows their stuff. It's a fantastic and really thoughtful list. The prices are also restrained for the quality of wine on offer. There are no less than four excellent Aussie rieslings on the list, all of them brilliant wines. We chose the Skillogalee riesling which is a beauty. One of our favourite wines. It complemented the food wonderfully. At the end of the night we also got into a Rutherglen fortified, a superb Muscat. This is about the last place I expected to find such a great wine. As I said, this is a very very good wine list here. We loved Latitude 30. It is not perfect but it's a very good restaurant. At $120 a head tonight, it's fantastic value compared with the same or similar quality seafood and wine in the major cities. It would have been significantly less without the cocktail and after dinner drink. Our conclusion: this is a place that's not to be missed if you are in or near Coffs Harbour. read more

This is one of my fave restaurants in Coffs Harbour. It's a great place to have a classy night out. The food it's great and the menu is great for sharing tapas or mains. Be prepared to spend around +$100 for 2 incl a glass of wine and a starter . My favourite option for tapas : pork belly & seafood share platter. I left feeling very disappointed and upset. My one year baby was screaming and I was under a lot of stress trying to calm her and got very upset as one of the staff member told me to make her quite as I other guests was complaining. I can understand the other guests but to be spoken by a staff member like that was not professional and left me feeling very upset. I try to explain to her that she is still a baby and the staff member basically told me to make her quite. I had order a steak for my other toddler and it came out with parts of it still being raw and I had explain to staff member that she is quite young and I don't feel comfortable her eating it so that staff member went to cook it more which came out basically burnt. They didn't even want to serve the ice cream which was included in the kids meal. As a parent who dined out quite a bit, this restaurant made me feel very upset and disappointed. We wanted to dine out on our last night here in Coffs Harbour and to also celebrate our daughters birthday and just want to enjoy a night out but was made to feel upset. read more

Found this gem of a restaurant on a post lockdown trip. Fabulous seafood. Had the best oysters there as well as the chowder. Well worth a visit. It's not very flash but great food and enough variety of wines. read more

Went here for a quiet drink on a Sunday, ended up staying for dinner after wanting live Jazz! Food was delicious & a great menu for both food and wine. Not surprising that Destination NSW just named them one of the top 10 restaurants with a view in NSW. The view is amazing on the Coffs marina. Definitely worth a look if you in Coffs. read more

Great view at this restaurant but unfortunately the dining experience didnt match. To start with the waitress couldnt explain what items on the menu are and didnt bother to go find out. Scallops for entree if i were to return i would have these again, interesting mix of flavours that worked well. Linguine and seafood chowder for mains, linguine was lacking said ingredients entirely lime and chilli. Chowder was tasteless as a can of creme of potato soup with 2 tiny bits of toast there was no balance of textures, prawns and scallops were overcooked. Upon paying we werent asked how our meal or experience was. Wait times for food and drinks were fine. Overall i would not return. Very dissatisfied for my partners bday dinner. Had a great meal on Father's Day. The service was excellent and staff looked after us with humour...We had a 2 year old with us. Food was fresh and delicious.
