My friend and I after using their products
    Kassie C.

I was invited to pamper party and I've never heard of their products before. My friends and I was greeted. It was light refreshments. Jessica brought good energy introducing herself and the products. All the products she discussed and recommendations were really good. During the pamper party we tried skin care routine that left my face feeling really clean and light without feeling greasy. I will Definitely go back.

If you're looking for a skincare and haircare haven that's as eco-conscious as it is luxurious, LATHER at 2nd & PCH is your spot! First off, let's talk about their products--because wow, they're the real deal. Everything at LATHER is crafted with zero synthetic fragrances, parabens, or sulfates, and you can *feel* the difference. Their skin and hair care lines are like a love letter to nature, made with premium plant-based ingredients and essential oils that make your senses sing. I snagged one of their hydrating body crèmes, and it's like slathering my skin in velvet. Every product feels intentional, clean, and oh-so-luxurious, like you're treating your body to a spa day with every use. Now, the pamper party--pure magic! From the moment we walked into LATHER's chic Long Beach store, we were greeted with warmth and excitement by the incredible staff, Janet and Bertha, who deserve all the gold stars. These two are the ultimate hosts--think fairy godmothers of skincare with a side of charm. They made our group of five feel like royalty, setting the vibe with flutes of sparkling wine that had us giggling and toasting in no time. The snack spread was perfection--think dainty little bites that paired beautifully with the bubbly, keeping us fueled for our indulgent afternoon. The highlight of the party? The in-sink skincare demo that had us all ooh-ing and ahh-ing like kids at a magic show. Janet and Bertha walked us through LATHER's facial products with such enthusiasm, showing us how to cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize like pros. They tailored the demo to each of our skin types--my sensitive skin loved the gentle cleanser, while my friend Lisa's acne-prone skin soaked up the treatment products like a dream. Bertha's energy was infectious, cracking jokes and sharing tips that made the whole experience feel right at home. Janet's expertise had us hanging on her every word about how LATHER's natural ingredients work their magic. We left with glowing skin and a newfound obsession with their olive oil soaps and serums. My friends and I are already planning our next pamper party, and I'm counting down the days until I can stock up on more of their goodies. You'll leave glowing, inside and out!

Update: Prices have gone up significantly (I paid 60+ dollars for x2 Mega Moisture Magnets) that's wiiiiiild --definitely won't be able to stock up like I use to (getting 2-3 of my fav items during my reUP sprees). Vibes were crazy AWWWF hence the reason for going down to 3 stars. I truly did not feel comfortable. The lady who did my transaction (not sure of her name) was not attune, seemed like she wasn't present for lack of better words. I had to ask about the discount and her reply was "oh let me change that to 25%" I had to ask to spin the wheel at the register and when I told her the prize associated to the spin she forgot to give it to me and I had to ask for it. There was another person there (I've met a time before) and I observed her interaction with a couple who she assisted and it was night/day from my experience. I wish I knew her name because she was oooon it (deserves her flowers): cheerful, welcoming, telling the customer about the sale, encouraged them to spin the wheel... for me it's the little things that make a customer feel valued and appreciated. ...but the products are undeniably good for my skin! It saddens me to say but I think I'll start going to Pasadena to make my purchases. This store has lost some great people with Tomi & Hailey being gone... Shoutout to: Bertha (she deserves flowers, super-kind soul, great customer service), AGAIN wish I knew the other lady's name from 7/26 who helped the couple (she's great and super kind as well) I've never been to the Pasadena location since I've been using LATHER products... I'd like to try them out! Leaving with this: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, BUT people will NEVER forget how you made them feel" -- Maya Angelou

The entire shopping experience at Lather is so nice! The staff is super knowledgeable and really helpful figuring out your skincare needs. The price point for the quality of the product is also reasonable.

Welcome to skin wellness at LATHER.

Lather has added new, fresh products and scents so I had to check it out!! Raven, 2nd&PCH, walked me through the store updated me all that is Lather. Thank you, Raven, for your patience and guidance. Absolute FAV -- Pear Lavendar is out of this world! - a little goes a long way - creamy, light, soft sensation when applying - scent is a perfect balance -- I feel like the pear is picked up by one nostril and the lavendar to the other. I dig it!! - sophisticated packaging and overall styling in store.

I started patronizing LATHER ever since Kelly was the store manager there. Kelly moved on from LATHER a couple years ago, and now Tomi is the store manager. Both have provided outstanding service and would remember me after only a couple initial visits. They were seriously that great, and so was the rest of the team in spite of the turnover rate. Like a salesperson I met in one year, I wouldn't ever see them in a different year. How they've managed to train so many employees to know the ins and outs of their entire product line, I have no idea, but no matter who's working in the store at a given time, just know that you'll always have at least one knowledgeable person to ask questions. So far, besides Kelly and Tomi, I've interacted with, in chronological order: Holly, Brielle, Hayley, Bertha, Azra, and Amaya. The first two have since left LATHER, but I don't know about the next three since, like I said, the team seems to be changing by the minute lol. On my last visit, Amaya was the salesperson who assisted me, and she was outstanding! I hadn't seen her before, so I have no inkling as to how long she's been working there, but she definitely ranks up there as a true asset to the company that believes in skincare solutions sans synthetic substances. What do I mean with this alliteration? LATHER was founded by Emilie H because she'd get headaches over using skincare products found in your traditional store like a Ralph's or a CVS. The problem with these products is they contain artificial chemicals that, in spite of the relevant regulatory agencies' seal of approval, are actually deleterious to your skin, carcinogenic perhaps with the symptoms that Emilie was exhibiting before commencing this Pasadena-based company. What's the main takeaway here from all this jargon? LATHER's entire product line consists of nothing but natural ingredients, and that also includes color and fragrances. Be forewarned the high price tags on their shelves compared to the aforementioned traditional stores, but that is the reason. Plus, they're located in a pretty high-end shopping center called 2nd and PCH on, you guessed it, 2nd and PCH. Recently, like within the last half year, LATHER rolled out a rewards program that even their employees don't fully comprehend. But if you're a regular at LATHER and would like to join, know that you get 5 points for every dollar you spend, and you can get some bonus points too like following them on social media or completing some activities in store only. As of now, unless they incorporate some high-tech gizmos and gadgets, I can foresee the in-store points opportunities as being cumbersome to handle, especially if the shop is full of customers. Luckily, it's been mellow most of the time unless they have a special event, like a launch party where they introduce a brand new product. The points can be redeemed for certain rewards, but fair warning, you'd have to purchase something in order to claim the reward. If you get a voucher, which comes in increments of $5, you have to spend at least $15 out of pocket in order to use the voucher. For a product like a cosmetic bag, your purchase could be anything, like a simple bar of soap. Though others may disagree, I believe the best reward is the Cosmetic Embroidered Bag at 1,000 points. They also have a regular cosmetic bag and a canvas bag for 750, but I'd rather spend 250 more points for a more durable bag that can better protect your *travel-size toiletries. I've enjoyed my experience at this LATHER store. The shop is small, but don't think their product line is because they have a wide variety that can cater to varying types of skin. And like I said earlier, their associates are always happy to assist you with any questions you may have. As for the products themselves, I don't know if I can say I love them, but my skin definitely does lol. Highly recommend stopping by if you're at 2nd and PCH! * The name eclipses me, but I remember seeing some packages of LATHER products that TSA will allow you to put in your carry-on before boarding a plane. If you're a traveler, I recommend asking about this!

Some goodies for our pamper party

I really love lather products! I appreciate the natural materials used and I love the smell of everything. The last time I shopped here I was encouraged to enter a raffle for a free pamper party for myself and up to 8 people of my choice. Lo and behold I won, and I never win anything like a raffle so I was super excited and happy. I decided on a date in June around 5pm. I was able to invite friends and family and they all loved it. There were light refreshments, wine, and sparkling water. We were also able to bring our own snacks and drinks. Each person got a goodie bag as well. Haylie and Jess were the two ladies that hosted our pamper party and they were incredibly kind and patient with our party. The products we tried were facial products( face wash, exfoliating, moisturizer, etc). We went two at a time and we could try the products on our hands or face. As we tried the products each host wrote down the products we tried so we could know which ones we liked which was so helpful! Again my guest loved the pamper party and each bought at least one item. I was able to get a gift card for some items which was a great incentive as well.

Exfoliating body soap with oatmeal & bamboo extract

Only genuine 100% Lather for me. None of that faux Lather will do. BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY $15 Birthday Month credit for email members Been to Lather at 2nd & PCH twice, and have enjoyed both visits. Initially, I was just browsing. Helping myself to some cookies, I signed up for Lather's email club and received a sample bag of assorted products, which included a body scrub, facial scrub, muscle pain reliever and whatnot. On my second visit, a week before my birthday, I stopped by to redeem my $15 birthday month credit. After pondering on either the exfoliating body soap with oatmeal & bamboo extract or the lavender & bergamot deodorant creme, I decided on the former. Exfoliating body soap with oatmeal & bamboo extract- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Mn3DuIhrOg0lZzr5-pN1sQ&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=GoaOckKoM11EGhRonUphWw&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Service was great. I was kindly helped, and checking out was a breeze. Lather is located on the south side of 2nd & PCH, in front of Jinya Ramen Bar & in-between Tuesday's Sweet Shoppe and Warby Parker. Beauty is tough, bro! Lather has an array of quality products. Having the $15 birthday month credit is a great impetus to try what Lather has to offer. I'm satisfied with how my skin feels after using the body soap. Highly recommend!

The shop located in a mall area has a fresh east on the eye look with the way they present their products. I told them what my problem areas where and I was recommended certain items and they were very informative. So much so they told me I may have been using their products in hotels and that all their items are made in the USA which is a huge plus to hear! They prices tend to run on par for soaps and higher than the prices you'd see at a pharmacy or your local beauty store but it's not so out of reach for your head to toe skin regiment needs. I bought myself a nice soap and also some spray to help me get more solid sleep.

I love what the store stands for, only time will tell if the products will live up to quality for its price and presentation. Lather presents as a clean brand with biodegradable packaging. What's great is their recycle incentive program to bring back the containers for a trial/sample product in return. I learned a lot from the worker who talked up almost all of the products i was looking at. Ultimately I ended up getting the dry skin trial kit and the mangosteen lotion with lemongrass soap combo. I loved the scents in the store, so I'm hoping I'll enjoy them at home. My bf bought the fly ready kit and after sun serum. Will follow up on this review in a couple months with my afterthoughts! All in all a great experience with service and aesthetic in the store.

Lather offers Pamper Parties which are the perfect gathering spot for a small group of friends. It is a wonderful way to try face and skin products, browse the various sections which are organized by type of product and color coded, and enjoy some refreshments provided by the store. I didn't feel rushed and the ladies working explained everything in detail, even offering samples to take home and try. The scents are wonderful, the open store layout is inviting, and a couple hours with friends (in this case some new friends) is quiet enjoyable. Oh yes, no pressure sales which is huge. I loved a product and chose to make a purchase with the 10% pamper party guests receive. The host receives a nice store credit towards their purchase for organizing and bringing in friends. We all left with a little goodie bag of products to try.

Love these products. I'm a return customer after the AHA face wash. I use the gentle face wash and tinted spf. I tried the gentle face moisturizer while I was there and will go back for it. I find the prices really reasonable and the product sizes last a long time! Always pleasant staff.

Wow!! I attended a Pamper Party a while ago and had the most phenomenal experience. It was super informative and I got one-on-one consults for my skin type, my routine, and my skincare concerns. There was a hand washing station and a facial care station, and the staff did an amazing job of recommending products for my lifestyle. When I asked for a ~5 minute routine, the staff recommended the vitamin C serum and the sunscreen. The vitamin C serum feels AMAZING on your skin but I found the sunscreen to be too thick. They also have a lot of gift sets, travel sized products, and gorgeous soaps -- I got one for the guest room at my house!

Even though the nursery section is not that big, just entering the gate from the sidewalk is a joyful, magical discovery for me...I love viewing all of the beautiful greenery. There are some new plants on each visit I've made, I usually see at least one plant I've either never seen before or don't know the name of until I look at the sticker on the container. They even sell some vegetable garden herbs and small potted plants, albeit a rather small selection. Towards the back left of the outdoor space, there is a section for garden signs and decorations, and just beyond is an indoor store with random items like clothing, kitchen towels, olive wood bowls and spoons, jams and jellies and jewelry. Within the past few months we have taken several strolls up and down the sidewalk to visit the shops on Main, but this one is a must every time I am in the area. I always try to hit this store up first if I am in the area close to sunset as they close at 5 pm. Street parking is Free for two hours, just enough time to walk through some shops and down a few blocks to the Seal Beach Pier which is well maintained with great views of Long Beach in the distance.
